If you are trying to talk to somebody about your problems to try to relieve your stress, the last thing you need is somebody to call you and ask you to do something for them. If you are trying to have a little quiet time, you do not need your phone ringing to disturb you.
4. Allow several breaks during the day. In order to keep yourself refreshed, why not take several 5 to 10 minute breaks each day just to sit quietly, do some deep breathing or meditation and get away from the pressures of the day.
5. Learn to say no and mean it. Many times the reason we are stressed is that we have too many things to do each day. If you have people in your life that are constantly asking you to do things for them, you need to learn how to say no if you feel you do not have the time or energy to handle it.
By following these simple tips to reduce stress levels, you will find it easier to get through each day. Remember to always take time for yourself. You are not required to work or take care of other people for the 16 hours or more a day that you are awake. If you do not take care of yourself first, you will find yourself under so much stress that after while, you will not want to be around anyone. By taking care of yourself, you will be less stressed and more enjoyable for others to be around.
