Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Manifestation through meditation and brainwave entrainment is something that has captured my attention for quite some time. I find the thought of improving the quality of life through the mind captivating.
Many people throughout the ages have researched and spoke of this ( Men such as Napolean Hill and Andrew Carnegie ) but it has not been until recently that the world is starting to stand up and take notice. People these days are often under an enormous amount of pressure because of the hectic, fast paced world that we live in. This never ending or slowing down pace is starting to take its toll on our health, our relationships and our families. It is time to make a change and that change needs to be for the better.
This is where meditation and brain entrainment comes in. Using a combination of these two powerful concepts we can actually train our brain and mind to stay focused for longer periods of time and achieve more with less effort. Binaural beats in brain entrainment sends frequencies otherwise known as beats directly to the brain, the brain reacts to these beats by creating the third beat which immediately allows the mind to hit the right frequency for that which you are trying to achieve.
These two concepts can be used to lose weight, stop smoking, motivation, increase memory, prosperity, relaxation and many, many more. If you have read self help books you start to get the feeling that you are reading the same thing over and over again. All these authors have great information and I must admit I am quite addicted to that genre in writing. However, it wasn’t until I came across binaural beats that I started to make any progress in this area of my life. This was the missing key. The famous saying “If you believe it you can conceive it” really hits home with binaural beats as it is the quickest, most effective way to tap into the power of the mind with the least amount of effort on your part. It really is like magic.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain? ?requency following?response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.
This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.
On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.
Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.
THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.
While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.
We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?
If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.
