I receive many newsletters and articles via email in order to keep up with the latest business and industry trends and reports. It just so happens that the last week of 2009 included a flood of articles entitled, “7 ways to ruin a Business”, “When Bad Things Happen to Good Business Owners and Entrepreneurs”, and “The Art of Apologizing to Angry Customers”. Pretty depressing before the new year, right? No worries!

One thing you have to do in order to be successful each day in business is to think positive and turn every negative into a positive. I listed both as one item because they are really one in the same. For example, one of the 7 ways to ruin a business (located on Business Brief dot com) is Bad Interviewing. By the way, each of the 7 begins with the word Bad…scolding you already for ruining your business (chuckle). Okay, so how do we turn this negative into a positive? We could list out the top items you should do or ask in an interview and then check our common practices off the list and see where we can improve! I’ve included a sample below:

Request at least 3 references
Ask for a resume or C.V.
Verify education
Request work samples (if applicable)

Running a business is hard work and you will not be able to satisfy everyone. If you are a sole business owner or entrepreneur you wear many, many hats. You are the bookkeeper, marketing director, file clerk, human resources director, and more! In addition, growing your business takes time. And as it grows you will be able to hire help for many of those hats. So what do you do to stay positive in 2010 when the stressors begin to weigh you down?

1. Learn how to walk away from, and even eliminate, negativity in your life. Whether it is a person, task or thing, if it is a negative energy drainer, walk away and come back later or eliminate. This could include deleting an email, breaking off relationships and/or connections, walking away from a confrontation, or avoiding comfort foods.

2. Learn what to do when you walk away. So you followed #1 and walked away, now what? That is entirely up to you. Did you have breakfast, or even lunch, today? Go eat! Or maybe you practice yoga and meditation? Have a treadmill? Take a walk! Like music? Play your favorite song Loud and dance!

3. Recognize you are not alone. Sometimes it may feel like you are the only business person going through a situation, but you are not. Go to Score.org and read some of the questions submitted by business owners and I guarantee many of the situations and dilemmas will sound familiar.

4. Flip it! Remember you can flip that negative into a positive lessons learned. If a customer complains, listen and find out what you can get from that conversation to make your business better and ensure you do not have a repeat of that same situation.

On a final note, try not to take all those business articles so serious. They are really all there to encourage, not discourage you. You just have to see the glass as half full and not half empty. Thanks for reading!

Brainwave meditation is a powerful tool that enables you to take hold of your inner most power through the energy of your brain waves.

The point of this empowering tool of meditation is to gain complete control of yourself by using the power that your brainwaves are putting out. Though relatively new, this concept has taken hold of many people and allowed them to overcome the most hopeless of situations.

How does it work?

During brainwave meditation you will learn to focus on things more clearly and in turn you will begin manipulating the waves of your brain. Instead of letting your feelings and emotions take control, you will suddenly have the power to hold them off. By doing this you will be able to create more positive thoughts within yourself.

How can I do all of this?

When preparing to harness the power of your brain you will need to be relaxed. You will want to sit straight and breathe deeply. Find a spot that feels comfortable and stick with it.

Next you will need to stare intently at anything. It can be a wall or a door, the object is not what’s going to be important it is the focus you are looking for.

Focus your hearing on soft music, preferably something with a bit of a rhythmic beat to it. Concentrate while you listen. Let your mind feel the beat of the music. This will allow you to gain control over all of your brainwaves. Sit there for at least a half an hour just concentrating.

When you are finished slowly stretch all of your muscles and allow them to take in some oxygen. By doing this type of meditation each day you will soon feel yourself becoming empowered.

Brainwave meditation is becoming increasingly popular in a world filled with people who feel like their lives are spiraling out of control. With a little effort and a bit of brainwave meditation therapy you will never have to feel that way again.

Brainwave Entrainment Brain Wave Entrainment: Easy For Even The Laziest Dog

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

The brain is a follower, likes new information, loves repeated rhythms, and will mimic this type of stimulus, in the form of entrainment, changing its dominant brain wave frequency and state of consciousness, to match said stimulus (Frequency Following Response–a scientific principle).

Audio entrainment produces new information, synthetically, with pulses of repetitive auditory stimulation, in a rhythmic fashion, which the brain follows or entrains to, synchronizing its dominant frequency to the stimulus pattern. Each pattern exhibits a different state of consciousness which the brain duplicates.

Using specifically designed sessions, you can pick and choose, from an unlimited amount of patterns, that which you would like to experience.

Brain wave entrainment can do everything from helping your ADD child become focused and successful, to helping you manifest prosperity, or it can even enhance your spiritual awareness by helping you contact your spirit guide.

Every state of consciousness is easily mastered with entrainment and, with enough repetition, can produce long term effects, as well as, immediately felt short term effects.

Brain wave entrainment is completely under your own control and intention.

The only difference between natural entrainment and produced entrainment is that the latter is deliberately designed to generate a specific effect and can be induced at will, and the former happens at random and is not under your control.

When the brain picks up a rhythm that is repeated over and over again, be it sound, light, or touch, will align itself chemically, firing neurons to mimic the rhythmic pattern of the stimulus. A principle in physics denotes that everything will yield to least resistance, synchronizing two cycles, in order to work more efficiently.

This produces brain wave frequency. Each frequency denotes a specific state of consciousness.

Five of the dominant brain wave frequencies are Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta, Gamma being the fastest and Delta the slowest. The fastest frequencies are shallower and produce less electricity whereby the slower frequencies are deeper and produce more electricity or neural imprinting.

Permanent or long lasting entrainment happens in the slower frequencies. The faster frequencies are excellent for immediate results like synchronizing both hemispheres of the brain to increase IQ for writing an exam.

Brain wave entrainment can induce the brain to follow easily, quickly, and with great efficiency. The brain responds exactly the same way it would if the wave pattern came from an unplanned, “natural” encounter, like the sound and rhythm of the rain falling. With specially designed brain wave entrainment, you don’t have to wait around for it to rain in order to feel the effects of the wave patterns of the raindrops hitting the dirt outside your bedroom window. You can experience this state of consciousness whenever or wherever you desire.

Brainwave entrainment attempts to influence the brain into a specific brain wave pattern through synchronizing neural firing in order to make new neural pathways.

The plasticity of the brain to be adaptable (a survival method), makes entrainment an easy and successful way to change your state of mind, and, with continued stimulation, this change could become permanent.

Brain wave entrainment is a scientifically proven tool you can use to stimulate those parts of your brain that has been left dormant or hardly used. It can help shrink areas that have not been beneficial to your life, and, it can grow new areas that will be.

Brain wave entrainment is inexpensive, portable, and doesn’t need any type of experience or training to use. It’s all in your hands…or ears I should say.

You can be the laziest dog in the yard and still entrain your brain.

You don’t have to do anything but have an intention, focus, and listen.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain? ?requency following?response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

When you are stressed out about a problem, this can produce positive results because it will make you act on the problem to find a solution. Your brain will function as you think of ways to solve your predicament. This is the positive side of stress. The negative side is when you become too stressed out to the point that you just worry and do nothing about your dilemma. When this happens, it can take a toll on your health and halt you from doing something.

Coping with stress is important so that your health will not be harmed. It is essential you accept within yourself you have a problem so that you will ponder about it and take steps to eliminate this crisis. After accepting your problem, ask yourself if you should really worry too much and why you should worry at all. Identify the problem and analyze solutions to it. You can ask the advice of your family and friends so as to help you think of answers.

The next thing to do in coping with stress is to do things to arrive at the solutions. Assess which actions are attainable on your part. It is also important to really think if the problem can really harm you or not. You may be exaggerating things for all you know.

Learning to face your problems is a way of coping with stress. Running away from your dilemmas will not solve them but will just prolong your agony. Confront your fears and solve the problem as soon as possible so that your worries will vanish. Make sure to put a limit on your actions though. Do not overdo yourself for this may just put you in harm’s way. In life, you should take things moderately because too much or too small can produce negative results.

If things still do not go your way, comfort yourself by thinking that you did something about the problem or situation. You can also leave everything to God and just pray all goes well in the end. Meditation and yoga will also help you cope with stress. You can also listen to soothing music, have a relaxing aromatherapy massage, or express your feelings through writing because this can serve as a good outlet. You can also have weekly workout sessions in the gym or go jogging or walking because exercise can lessen stress and anxiousness.

If you are really worried about your problems that cause so much stress to you, you can go to a medical expert and ask for remedies and medication. It is most likely that if you are suffering from panic attacks and anxiety disorders, medications will be prescribed. Stress should not be overlooked nor disregarded. It should be accepted and dealt with. Life is too short to be spent on worrying. You should enjoy it to the fullest and take simple pleasure from it. As they say, all problems have a solution and when you remind yourself of this, you can easily cope with life’s stressful moments.

If you could, I want you to imagine that your mind is in a sluggish state, creeping along its evolutionary patterns with a thick and hardened shell that does not allow you to get at and benefit from the full potential of your brain. Within this sluggish form, within this hardened exterior lies a sleek and fast machine capable of enormous capability and all you need to do is to release it from its prison and sharpen your mind with binaural beats.

Before anything, let more light be shed on this binaural beats technology, which has been around, in actuality, for more than a few decades and it has only been since the explosion of the internet and world knowledge has increased that this technology has started to receive the fame it deserves. What they are in nature are auditory tones that have been artificially produced and hidden within apparent sounds.

Now, these sounds are not apparent to the human ear and there is a good reason for this, because it needs to be uninterruptedly introduced into both ears, masked in music so that the cortical is able to pick on their differing frequencies and this evoke a similar response.

Within the brain, these low frequency differences are mainly heard within the superior olivary nucleus, placed somewhere in the cortical of the brain stem. What has to be achieved is often called a frequency following response, which in simplistic terms is the reaction of the cortical to the small frequency changes which will then produce an electromagnetic explosion by the neurons.

While the popular form of the stimulus is in the audio CD, it can also be seen by the eye, and one of the more prominent examples of this is the Dreamachine. The problem with this is that although it is just as effective, there are problems when trying to evoke high frequency responses in the brain stem, which might just lead to negative side effects like photosensitive epilepsy, something that you do not need to be experiencing in the first place. So, we have established that auditory stimulation is one of the best ways to deliver binaural beats into the brain system.

Depending on the wavelength required, whether it is delta, theta, alpha, beta or even gamma, the cortical in the brain stem will then entrain the brainwaves to follow. This is how you can sharpen your mind. With binaural beats, you are able to invoke states where you are mentally acute, mentally aware, higher levels of concentration and high levels of creativity. You can achieve this by invoking the beta and alpha states, which is simply done by using brainwave entrainment technology.

So, now you are aware of this technology and the best thing about this is that you can achieve this simply by logging on the internet and getting the latest versions of binaural CD’s and ordering them online. Some sites even allow you to download engineered MP3s as well. So what are you waiting for? Sharpen your mind with binaural beats today.

In his book, The Alchemist, Paulo Coehlo, writes about a boy and an alchemist travelling across the desert to the pyramids, where the boy hopes to find his treasure. Being a man of wisdom, the alchemist tells the boy to learn to listen to his heart. But why, asks the boy. He answers because wherever your heart is, that is where you’ll find your treasure. As they travelled on, the boy gets confused messages as he tries to listen to his heart. He feels his heart is agitated, gets emotional, even scared. At one point, the boy believes that his heart is a traitor. The alchemist tells him that is good, his heart is alive. The wise man adds that treason is a blow that comes unexpectedly. If you know your heart well, it will never do that to you, because you know its dreams and wishes and will know how to deal with them. You will never be able to escape from your heart. The boy listens quietly, although doubtfully, to his heart.

Do you believe in the power of your heart? How often have you heard the words: Listen to your heart, for it will not lead you astray. Today, there is almost a global interest in metaphysical tenets, Eastern philosophy (not totally geographical), the wisdom of sages of the past, Native North-American Indian teachings and the like. The field of medical science and technology are making favorable advances in the diagnosis and management of most diseases.

The heart pumps quietly, as you sit and read or listen to your favorite music, or just relaxing. You feel calm and peaceful. There are times you hear a pounding on your chest, you try to take a deep breath to slow it down. You know something is afoot. In sadness, your heart understands you. It beats faster when your emotions run high. If you could only stop and listen, your heart can help you find your way.

The cardio-vascular system:

This system includes the heart, the vein, arteries and capillaries that run throughout the body. The cardiovascular system is vital and basic to life. The beating of the heart is an automatic function controlled by the brain. The contractions of the heart move oxygen into the blood and gathers the carbon dioxide from the blood which is then expelled through the lungs. This process involves all the cells of the body.

Technological advances in medicine helps in faster diagnosis and better management of impending heart problems, in an effort to prevent heart disease and worst, a heart attack. Society is more aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle and its benefits.

In today’s world, stress runs high as society tries to deal with the ever increasing demands on their time, as the fast lanes gets wider and wider. It is a fact that mental and emotional stress affect the physiological health. Scientific research proves that anger, anxiety and worry significantly increase the risk of heart problems.

Mental and emotional stress affect the physiological health. Scientific research proves that anger, anxiety and worry significantly increase the risk of heart problems.

Studies by Dr. Hans Eysenck and colleagues at the University of London shows that chronic unmanaged emotional stress is six times more predictive of cancer and heart disease than cigarette smoking, cholesterol level or high blood pressure. They also add that management of emotional stress is more responsive to intervention. And there are many, many ways to manage or deal with stress.

Simplify your lifestyle. Do you need to do that much shopping? Retail therapy is not a solution, it creates more problems. Do not feel guilty when you have to say NO. Enjoy every moment you can with your family and friends.

We live in a knowledge-based society. Information about any subject is globally shared in an instant. There is an increasing awareness that most diseases can be healed. That is if one is willing to believe in the power of self- healing. This is a wide open avenue to anyone who seeks an alternative therapy or a complementary to conventional medicine. Meditation is a big step to quieten one’s mind. It is recognized as a way to cope with stress and calm the mind, so many ways to learn how to meditate that is if one is willing to incorporate meditation in their daily life.

There are many who seek healing methods some of which are based on Eastern practices such as yoga, Chi Quong or tai chi. There are spiritual practices and traditions around the world, in different cultures, with the same message. We have the ability to heal ourselves, to feel that interconnectedness with the universe, if we could just sit still and listen to our inner voices, our inner guidance.

Exercise and a healthy diet is highly recommended. How much stress can anyone take without compromising health and inner peace? There is a lot of information on how to deal with stressful situations or lifestyle. Why wait till you develop heart problems when something can be done NOW.

If you can think to all the latte’s and movies, and clothes, games, you name it that most are guilty for consuming, think of all the manufacturing going on to meet the demand for lap tops, for instance, they make millions of them, where ninety percent are made obsolescent. So what am I getting at? You can hit two birds with one stone, buy recycling goods, buy local, if you’re going to buy something new, think about what you are supporting before you buy. When I traveled up the five of California I noticed one thing more than the rest, can you guess? Semi trucks madly marching in unison with no mind to smaller vehicles, night and day, on tight schedules, burning, burning gas fumes that turn the nowhere Americas into little gas station hells.

So how did this method come into play, this sprawl, this unlocal commuting all over the place like ants that don’t know one another’s names. Is it easy to get along with your fellow ants in such a way of life, your neighbors as strangers, your job across town with a two hour drive on the highway? Not very likely that you know them all that well since communities are few and far between, so you honk cantankerously when late for work, mean while at home your kids are watching TV and playing games, chances are more than half of them will get obese before they reach eighteen but who has time to tell them the right way if media just overpowers their influence anyway? Anymore it is about the lives of the glamorous, the successful, (the magazines in the grocery store) yeah I have worked for a lot of celebrities and rich people that young teens so heavily adore, and what I can say is, fake, fake, fake, their image symbol is completely fabricated that some well paid publicists created, yet for the young and impressionable, they take this image to heart. Many recognize this problem but they treat it as the way it is, and continue to go day after day in confusion to why things are a little off, why you cannot seem to trust a single stranger anymore, or even a friend, what happened?

Okay, I could go on about problems, there are many, yet what about solutions, there is only one way out of this: To rid main stream corporation owned media, politician influence, corporate chains, (at least the big ones that are monopolizing out of control) and figure out a way to live out of suburbia. Suburbia is a dream that lasted an era after world war two but wasn’t designed to last long (they were met to get people out of cities, away from the hustle bustle) but what happens when oil doesn’t compensate for the one hundred and fifty vehicles for every one hundred Americans? Yeah, the suburbia will have to start gardening inevitably to survive, then the people will stay put and get to know their neighbors, and what happens then, a community, local farmers markets, barter etc.

What you can do in your every day life determines that outcome for all, not that six billion people are easy to imagine, but first of all you have to think about all the cultures and ways of life out there, how are these villages managing in their mud huts and rain forests? How are we managing over here in North America, Europe, and Asia? Everyone has their own ideas of spirituality, now more than ever is a time of meditation, prayer, studying, art, music, love, Thai. chi, Qi gong, yoga, fellowship, reading, adventures, experimentation, creativity, organic gardening, communes, bicycles, and community gatherings, but not TV. Purify your impressions by shutting out all main stream media, public radio is run by the people, funded by the people, so they have no control on what kind of news is heard, accept the truth, yet I would say get involved after you listen.

Get involved by not over consuming, there… now you know, every time you go into Wal mart, order things off Amazon, walk into a Starbucks and get a cappuccino, buy something that was shipped all the way from china, or far away from you town (most generic grocery stores buys from cross country distributor corporations that cause these nightmare semis on the highways) I’m not saying shut off and become a monk, (say that’s not a bad idea) you should go to the movies if you want but just understand about the Bentleys, private jets, Beverly hill houses, and maids that you are funding, (I have seen them and it isn’t pretty as it claims to be) you are spinning this powerful web that throws the world off balance. Start creating and stop over consuming, I know this sounds like a rant, and maybe it is, but this is my way of connecting with others about my ideas that aren’t necessarily right for everyone, but more a bit of guidance from someone that has done the suffering on the streets to find out the truth about living simply. Of everything I said, this is just to clear our minds so that we can then clear our environment, but we have to also have a clear environment to clear our heads, hmm… I guess we should stop cluttering life up with a consumer nightmare first. You have the right to speak of your ideas, and be heard, no matter what some institution says, you have the right to change ‘the way it is.’

While we can all agree that you will never get rich as an employee (well, maybe with the exception of an employee in a company that gives you stock/shares), we can also agree that we need to have income coming in as much as possible. We know that if time freedom is high on your list, you will never get that as an employee. Unless you are the owner of the company. But still, you need income coming in, even if it means getting it from a day job.

There is nothing wrong with having a day job.

Most of us know that there are negatives and positives when it comes to having a day job. The negatives are that you will have to commute, trade your time for dollars, endure psychological and physiological stress, office politics, after-tax income and so on. However, there are positives as to why you should keep your day job (within reason) especially if you’re still running a home-based business.

The truth is, we all have to bring in money. It doesn’t matter whether you are an employee, a business owner, network marketer, songwriter, real estate broker, doctor – whatever. There is a saying that money isn’t everything in this world, but it sure does come close to oxygen. Let’s face it. Money isn’t everything, but it is important.

Anyone who says “I don’t need the money” or “I don’t do it for the money” is actually lying to themselves and to others. If they do not need the money, then why are they still working at their jobs? If they don’t need the money and they love their jobs, why not work for free? Now, I can hear a lot of people tell me “that’s not fair, you have to be compensated for what you do.” Ahhh. So, that means money still is important. Most of the answers people would give are “I’ve got to pay the bills” or “I’ve got to take care of the IRS or CRA or creditors” and so forth.

I’m guilty of this too, so I’m not pointing fingers. But it’s important to be aware of this. We all have to bring in money, and I mean legally. Whether that be a job or a business (that serves the world and helps people, of course).

Most people are not cut out for entrepreneurship and that’s totally fine. But for those of us who have the entrepreneurial bug bite, the first important matter is to always remain grounded while remaining a visionary.

When I mean remaining grounded, I mean being responsible. Having a home-based business and thinking that you will grow rich if you do it full time, does not give you the excuse to leave your day job when you have a massive amount of bills to pay. Even Bill Gates and Sylvester Stallone had to bring in some sort of income while they were obsessed with making their dreams come true.

For those of us who are not familiar with Maslow’s Hierarchy, Maslow states that we must always satisfy our basic needs. Food, Shelter, Water, Clothing, etc. If you are not currently getting that from your home-based business, you need to bring in income. Even if it means bringing it from a job.

There is nothing wrong with a job (unless the job is killing you and dangerously leading your stressful life to a cancerous result). Although you have to trade time for dollars, you are getting dollars and that’s a fact. You need to focus on your survival needs first and then build towards your thriving life.

Anyone who puts down jobs either had money handed down to them, or they had forgotten where they came from. These are the people who do not respect life in general and it won’t be long before their table of success turns on them. Instead of putting down jobs, or people with jobs, they should inspire people and encourage people to go for their dreams. Not FORCE them.

David Foster was flat broke once. Tony Robbins, Dr. Joe Vitale, Sanjay Burman, Loreena McKennett, Gordon Ramsay, the late Steve Jobs – they all started out with humble beginnings. But they never forgot where they came from. They worked hard and smart, and they never forgot that.

We all are brothers and sisters on this planet. The only thing is that not everyone has the same energy amongst each other.

If you want to build a huge home-based business and are starting out from scratch, here are some tips you can try:

If you are a daredevil and totally believe you can make it, go for it and take risks – but make sure the risks are the kind that you learn from and not die from.

If you have a full time job, keep it. But schedule your home based business around it, so that you have a balance. You still have to bring in money, especially if you need to finance your business. Unless you are 100% certain that you can pay it back, refrain from going for a bank loan.

If you don’t like your full time job and it is massively stressful (like office politics, violence, etc.), make sure you have enough in the bank to sustain yourself for a couple of months while you work on your home based business.

You can also apply to another full time job that you like, at least to keep yourself afloat. Note: Make sure it is a job that you can do and not one that you’re low on expertise for. You’ll find that you’ll have to spend a huge amount of time learning the skills from home if it does not help your home-based business. Otherwise, perhaps find something positive about it. Maybe the skills could be used in your home based business.

Join networking groups and promote your business. It doesn’t matter whether it is network marketing, direct selling, real estate, franchises, whatever. Just continually promote and network. Get in the habit of meeting people and having conversations.

If you have the time, join a Mastermind group. Find one that works best for you and that you can contribute and learn from.

Be aware of overtime hours from your job. If you’re going to get plenty of these, you might want to consider a home-based network marketing business. When you sponsor people, you can train them once a week or month and they can prospect while you work overtime at your full time job.

Master the Art of Automation – put your business on the internet, Master it and if you got it working, it will work on Autopilot for a certain period of time. Imagine making more money while you are at your full time job, or when you are asleep. Network Marketing also works beautifully with Internet Marketing.

Make sure to pay off your credit cards or other creditors. If you are already in the danger zone, consider credit counselling (don’t be embarrassed; we’re seeing a huge worldwide credit crisis more than ever in human history. The important thing is that you learn from your mistakes).

If you are severely burnt out, make sure you have enough reserves for a couple of months, so that you can resign from your job. Take time to relax, rejuvenate, read books on how to build your business or self-improvement. Go to a baseball/basketball game or even musical theatre. A trip to the great outdoors – whatever is a great meditation for you.

Consider focusing on your passions, even if life is going chaotic and crazy. Know that when you can find time to do what is considered a meditational moment for you, you will balance out your life.

Look at your job positively. You could take whatever skills and experience you’ve learned on the job into your home based business. For example, I work as a web designer and front end developer as a contractor for several clients, even though my business is in building residual income and health consultation for others. But it is through the web designer/front end developer jobs that I learned how to put together this website and make it dynamic. I would have never learned about the technology without it. So jobs are important and are still great income sources. There is also nothing wrong with loving your job either. I know some successful entrepreneurs who sometimes miss their old full time employment and wished there was a way to have both at the same time. If you enjoy your job, be proud of it. But if you can, build a home based business on the side so that you have a cushion when the economy changes again.

We could spend a whole article on this, but the important thing to remember is that you must keep the money coming in, whether it is by your job, by residual income or passive income. Residual and Passive income is always best, but if you’re not getting these yet, you must bring in money, even if it’s from your job.

When you prospect or network for your business, you do not necessarily have to tell others what you do at your day job, or what your job title is. You can tell them what your home-based business title is. If they get to know you more personally, you can mention that you have a full time job, but you’re working hard and smart towards working in your home-based business full-time.

Remember, there is nothing wrong with a job. If it is the only source of income you have at the moment, it is the one that is going to help you provide food on the table for you and your family (if you have a family) as well as shelter, utilities and an internet connection, plus items for your home-based business (like laptops, nutritional supplements, phones, whatever.)

You’ve got to start with financial security, so that you can focus on financial freedom. People who have financial freedom handed down to them will find their way to financial security fast, if they do not know how to get to and stay at financial freedom.

Sure, a job is “just over broke”, but it’s better to be that than to be broke without any options!
Listening to music while you are meditating – not a good idea. … Anything you do with the thought that you are meditating is meditating. There are many ways to meditate. Personally, I find music to be distracting, but paying attention to sounds in your environment is part of insight meditation.

Meditation is a habitual process of training your mind to focus and redirect your thoughts. You can use it to increase awareness of yourself and your surroundings. Many people think of it as a way to reduce stress and develop concentration.
Basic meditation music simply provides a way for an individual to go deeper with their meditation by adding a new layer to their experience. … Unlike many other music forms, the binaural beats work with the brain to develop a frequency most associated with relaxation.

Brainwave Entrainment Tuning Up Your Brain

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Imagine a world where you could place electrodes on your head, send your brainwaves to a computer, and control a video game without using your hands, just by changing your brainwaves. Picture a world where you could teach your brain to perform better. Perhaps you could improve your IQ, concentrate better, or sleep better. Maybe you could organize better at work, close more sales, get better grades, or be more productive. Maybe you could spiff up your memory that you have noticed is slipping lately. Visualize getting rid of that chronic depression or those nasty panic attacks and eliminating those medications you hate to take.

Too hard to believe? Believe it!

We have learned more about the brain in the last 10-15 years than we ever knew before. This is mostly due to advanced imaging techniques, computer technology, and on-going research about how the brain works. Research that began in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s at UCLA and NASA and is continuing today at universities and medical centers around the world is confirming that a form of biofeedback on brainwaves called Neurofeedback effectively teaches the brain to regulate itself better.

Neurofeedback gives information to the person about what their brainwaves are doing (usually via a video game) and rewards them (the rocket flies, they hear beeps, etc) when they change their brainwaves the way that they are being asked to. This process is called Operant Conditioning which is a well known learning strategy. The original research was done with cats that were rewarded with milk and chicken broth when they increased a certain brainwave. (The human brain apparently will do anything for a ‘beep’…)

Research is also teaching us what normal brain waves patterns should look like. Brain mapping technology called a Quantitative Electroencephalograph (QEEG) takes a classic EEG (a look at the electrical function) and compares brainwave data to a database of normal brains. This process can pinpoint sites on the brain that are not functioning normally. Using this technology we can now identify certain learning disabilities, mood disorders, Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and more, and pinpoint areas of the brain that are not communicating properly with other areas of the brain. This information can then be used to ‘train’ these abnormal areas of the brain using Neurofeedback to make them more normal and therefore improve function.

Recent research by V.J. Monastra et al has demonstrated that the ratio of two brain waves (theta/beta) on the top of the head (CZ) can be used to predict ADHD with 90% accuracy. Studies show that training the brain at these sites and at these frequencies works as well as, or better than the standard stimulant medication so frequently prescribed for ADHD, and without the side effects.

Leslie Prichep at NYU has used the QEEG to characterize brains affected by Alzheimer’s Disease. One Neurofeedback study on healthy adults showed improved cognitive function and memory. We are beginning to use Neurofeedback to help slow down the cognitive decline, personality changes, and behavioral changes associated with Alzheimer’s.

Because the brain regulates so many things, training the brain can have an impact on a large variety of seemingly unrelated disorders. Neurofeedback has been shown to be effective for depression, anxiety, ADHD, sleep disorders, Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), panic attacks, seizures, learning disabilities, Obsessive/Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), cognitive function, memory, Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, migraines, anger, Bi-Polar disorder, Autism, stress, organization and planning. Neurofeedback is approved by the FDA for stress management. And studies show that adding Neurofeedback to psychotherapy and AA meetings decreases relapse rates in alcoholism from 80% to 25%. Wow!

Neurofeedback appears to correct underlying problems in brain regulation rather than just treating the symptoms. Frank Duffy, MD at Boston Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School stated “If any medication had demonstrated such a wide spectrum of efficacy [as biofeedback], it would be universally accepted and widely used.” The January 2005 edition of the ‘Child and Adolescent Clinics of North America” professional journal stated that Neurofeedback meets their criteria for efficacy for ADHD, depression, anxiety (including OCD, PTSD, phobias, generalized anxiety), learning disabilities, and seizures.

Neurofeedback is being used around the world to help people improve their brain function. Often it is used to improve Peak Performance as opposed to treating any disorder. It is helping astronauts, professional ball teams, athletes, performers, executives, children, students, and people from all professions and all ages.

Neurofeedback treatment consists of an initial evaluation plus twenty to forty 45 minute sessions. These sessions are usually scheduled at least twice a week at first and then may be reduced to once a week when symptoms have improved. Treatment must continue until the positive changes ‘stick’, and then can be discontinued. Follow up studies have shown that if the treatment continues until symptom improvements are lasting for at least a month, then the results will persist. Some studies have shown that symptoms continue to improve even after treatment has ended. Certain medications can often be reduced or eliminated after doing Neurofeedback as the brain learns to regulate itself.

Neurofeedback is not currently covered by most health insurance companies but sometimes psychotherapists incorporate it into their regular therapy sessions which are usually covered. Sessions can cost anywhere from $90 to $145 each with discounts for prepaid packages. Often, people have tried everything else before they find out about Neurofeedback.

Neurofeedback can change a person’s life in invaluable and global ways. It is the wave of the future available now. We regularly get our cars tuned up. Certainly every brain could benefit from a tune up as well.

The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

sleep meditation Ten Steps to a Ten-Figure Income

Meditation music is music performed to aid in the practice of meditation. It can have a specific religious content, but also more recently has been associated with modern composers who use meditation techniques in their process of composition, or who compose such music with no particular religious group as a focus.

Seeing Yourself In Billionaire Status How difficult do you think it would be to achieve the status of a ten-figure income? Currently there are about 3 million millionaires in the USA’s population of 300 million people. That equals out to about one percent of the total U.S. population! Statistically, almost one out of every 100 Americans is a millionaire! Let’s go a step further. There are approximately 360 billionaires in the United States. The ranks of the super-rich are growing every day. After all, the step-up from millionaire to billionaire is only three orders of magnitude (1,000), requiring only one thousand, million-dollar chunks. Can you see yourself in that number? Basically, there are ten steps to achieving a ten-figure income. How many are already in your life? How many areas still need work?

1. You Must have a Vision

For those of you who love the old musicals, remember the song from South Pacific called, “Happy Talk.” The chorus gives this wonderful admonition:

“you got to have a dream
if you don’t have a dream
how you gonna have a dream come true?”

So simple. So true. So important. Yet too many people walk through life with no vision at all. How can they ever have their dreams come true? Don’t let that be said of you – that you have no dream; no vision. Write your vision; articulate your vision; embrace your vision; follow your vision. If you are on your way to becoming a billionaire, the first step is to have your vision well established.

2. You Must Have a Strong Why

So you want to be a billionaire? Why? This is not a trick question. Because if you don’t know why – if your “why” is not strong enough, you may never make it to the first six-figure level. Make sure your “why” is bigger than you are (bigger than your mere “wants”). Once you get up past the six-figure level (monthly or yearly, either one) and move ever higher, believe it or not, “things” will begin to bore you. There must be a higher calling that compels you to keep moving ever upward. Locate your why!

3. Surround Yourself with Successful People (Mentors)

There are people who have walked this journey before you. They have blazed trails and attended the school of hard knocks. Some of them have written books. Some have courses that can be purchased. Some offer personalized coaching. Some have already died, but their biographies have been written and you can read about them to learn how they located their why and how they followed their dreams. Learn from these pioneers! Let them show you the way. Why spin your wheels by reinventing the wheel?

4. Locate an Income Vehicle That Can Produce 100K per Month

If you want to dig a little pond in a corner of your backyard, a shovel may work. If you are digging the foundation for a 100-story skyscraper, you may need a little more than a shovel. How about massive earth-moving machinery? If you are serious about a ten-figure income, you will need an income-producing vehicle that will accommodate your goals. Stop messing around with marketing $15 and $20 items. Only big ticket products are going to get you where you want to go. Find the best vehicle to fit your plans.

5. Create Leverage with Network Marketing (people working for you without the headache of employees)

It was oilman J. Paul Getty who stated:
“I would rather earn 1% off a 100 people’s efforts
than 100% of my own efforts.”

This is such a true statement that it almost goes without saying. The sad thing is, so few people will walk this out in their lifetime. Many of the network marketing opportunities available today offer individuals an amazing amount of leverage by using the efforts of many others. This must be included in your steps to earning a ten-figure income.

6. Invest Wisely; Invest Like the Wealthy; Get Out of Debt

Middle class people work for money. The wealthy make their money work for them. Middle class people pay interest (in debt up to their eyeballs). The wealthy have interest paying them. It’s a simple fact the wealthy know how to invest and know how to earn a reasonable, steady rate of return without high risk. Learn from them to put your money to work. If you want to be wealthy; learn from the wealthy and act like the wealthy.

7. Develop Healthy Habits: Work Out; Exercise; Eat Right

Another quote from J. Paul Getty:
“The individual who wants to reach the top in business
must appreciate the might and force of habit.
He must be quick to break those habits that can break him –
and hasten to adopt those practices that will become the habits
that help him achieve the success he desires.”

Where you are today is the sum total of choices (both large and small; both good and bad) that you have made every day in your past. It has been said that it takes 21 days to form a habit. Whether or not that is true, you can certainly use it to create good habits in your life. Achieving good health (and a healthy state of mind) is as imperative to your wealth as any business model you might latch onto. Your body is your friend. Treat it at least as well as you do your vehicle. (Would you put sugar in the gas tank of your car?) Your brain is also your friend – feed it more good news than bad.

8. Strive for Excellence

To strive for excellence does not mean you must be perfect. But it does mean you must do everything in your power to be the best you that you can be. This is closely related to #7, in that you cannot abuse your mind and body and still achieve greatness. Nor can your make half-hearted efforts in your endeavors. Pursue your dreams with all your heart. And give it your best. Pursue excellence with as much discipline as a champion athlete. It will pay off!

9. Dream; Envision; Meditate

This step is closely related to #1. While it is imperative to have a dream (noun), it is equally imperative to dream (action verb). Keep your dreams and goals ever before your eyes by use of imagery and meditation. Some people use a “dream board,” or a “goal map” to help envision exactly what it is they want their future to look like. Some list goals on 3X5 cards and review them daily. Still others write out (in present tense) what their life will be like in the future (as though they were already living out their dream). T. Harv Eker (Secrets of the Millionaire Mind) says “whatever you focus on, expands…” So stop spending time focusing on what you don’t want! Focus on what you want!

10. Never Never Never Quit!

Failure is not failure until you quit. Only when you throw in the towel and quit will you ever fail. Falling short of a goal is not failing. (Hey, you started, didn’t you?) Changing direction is not failing. Errors in judgment is not failing. Making honest mistakes is not failing. Failure is never a “lack of success.” It is simply staying down after you trip or stumble. Failure is giving up and wimping out when you think the going is too tough, or when you let negative thoughts tell you can’t make it. If you have set your goal to have a ten-figure income, keep putting one foot in front of the other no matter what life throws at you. Whatever you can believe and conceive, you can achieve.
