Brainwave Entrainment Lucid Dreams Binaural Beats and Manifesting

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Before we explore precisely what we mean by ‘lucid dreams binaural beats’, let’s examine the individual elements that make up that term.

1. What are binaural beats?

Binaural beats are created when pure tones at slightly different pitches are heard by each ear. The brain integrates the two tones, effectively create a new third tone. This third tone, or binaural beat, causes the listener’s brainwaves to ‘entrain’ to (or move towards) the beat frequency. If the binaural beat frequency corresponds to a Gamma brainwave, for example, it will entrain the listener’s brainwaves in that direction. Gamma brainwaves are thought to be consistent with deep meditation and can evoke clarity and insightfulness. This can be particularly useful when attempting to ‘manifest’ in accordance with The Law of Attraction or when creating and expressing affirmations.

2. What are lucid dreams?

A lucid dream is a dream in which you aware that you are dreaming. When you are ‘lucid dreaming’, you can actively take part in and manipulate the experiences occurring in the dream environment. When you are lucid dreaming, your subconscious mind (what Dr Eric Amidi refers to as the Lower Self) is very susceptible to suggestion, so you can consciously impress your desires upon your unconscious mind. You will carry these with you into your waking life. This will give your affirmations a great deal more power.

3. What are lucid dreams binaural beats?

When you enter a deep sleep, your brainwaves follow the Delta wave pattern. When you begin dreaming, your brainwaves adopt the Theta wave pattern. When you wake up, your brainwaves follow the Alpha wave pattern. Lucid dreaming is achieved when binaural beats encourage the brain to adopt (or ‘entrain’ toward) a Delta state, followed by a Theta state, followed (briefly) by an Alpha state, then quickly back into the Theta state. In other words, the binaural beat encourages deep sleep, followed by dreaming, followed by brief consciousness, then back into the dream where, if everything goes to plan, you are now very much aware of the fact you are dreaming and able to exert an influence upon proceeding.

Happy dreaming, and good luck with those affirmations.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain? ?requency following?response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

sleep meditation Psychic FAQ: Do Mediums Use Tarot Cards?

Q: Why do mediums use tarot cards? Shouldn’t they be able to communicate with spirits, or the other side without needing a spiritual “tool” like tarot?

A: This is a pretty good question, and to be totally honest with you… it really depends on the psychic or medium that you are speaking of.

Most mediums that I’ve spoken with or interviewed don’t use the tarot, but others do, and I don’t see any conflict or anything unusual about it at all.

Here is why:

Different psychics use different tools, techniques and methods to do their work. Many find some expression of creativity or concentration very helpful for achieving a level of intuition they wouldn’t have using their ordinary awareness.

George Anderson, for example… the famous medium, is known for drawing rapidly while doing a reading and communicating with spirit.

Other mediums go into a trance state or use meditation to connect. If tarot helps a psychic or intuitive feel more connected, or more in flow… I have no reason to question what sort of method or technique that feel is necessary to get information.

As a quick extra point, believe it or not, MOST highly skilled people in these sorts of areas use some sort of ritual to help them do what they do best. Athletes, musicians, artists and creative people who need to attain a high level of focus use tools as much as technique – be it music, certain body movements or, if you are a professional psychic or medium, something as tried and true as tarot!

Remember, judge the reading on the basis of what comes through – and not what it takes to get there

Other types of tools that are popular with psychics and mediums?

Obviously astrology is a very popular art and science that has it’s own set of tools. But lesser known tools that some mediums find very helpful are reading objects, and the energy that they emanate. This is typically referred to as psychometry, and ti’s very popular with psychics who do law enforcement style work, as they’ll read the energy or emotions associated with an object owned by a missing person, a crime victim or even a suspect.

The beauty of GENUINE psychic ability is that it manifests differently in each and every psychic or medium who does the work! Much like no two artists are exactly alike… no two psychics or mediums are exactly the same either. (and that’s what makes seeing someone new so incredibly exciting for me… EVEN after all of these years!)

Any woman over forty years old knows that the menopause is coming
sometime in the near future.

There has been a lot of publicity about HRT and how, through taking this hormonal replacement, all your worries are over. The facts, however, are not as clear cut and you might well want to consider your options.

This article is offering some alternatives to help you through this period of time because if you go the more natural route once your menopause is over, it’s over. It’s important to know that those who choose HRT, when they finish their treatment, are still facing symptoms of the menopause! In other words, hormone replacement therapy postpones the symptoms.

hormone replacement therapy

Hormone Replacement Therapy replaces the female hormone oestrogen in normal doses. This involves daily oral oestrogen tablets or weekly oestrogen patches applied to the skin, with the addition of the hormone progesterone for some women.

long-term use of HRT

We are now learning that HRT is not always suitable for long-term use, as it increases risks of breast cancer, stroke and heart disease (Women’s Health Initiative – WHI study). New clinical guidance recommend that GPs offer HRT in only the worst cases and for a period of only five years. Even in the early stages of use, 4 out of 5 women find that HRT doesn’t agree with them.

A recent survey of 2,000 women revealed that 6 out of 10 women had tried HRT, and 33% had chosen to come off it after less than a year.

a personal choice

The decision whether to take replacement hormones remains a very personal one. A woman should discuss this with her doctor before reaching any conclusions. Although not for everyone, hormones may provide relief of some of the annoying symptoms of menopause, but women should be aware that potential risks exist.

homeopathy is an alternative to HRT

Homeopathy is safe and effective, especially when used alongside changes in your lifestyle and diet. Homeopathy is very helpful in the treatment of hot flushes, mood-swings, menopausal headaches and a host of other troublesome symptoms.

homeopathic remedies

Hormonal imbalances respond very well to homeopathic treatment. A remedy or remedies will be chosen by your homeopath from a variety of natural sources. Remedies such as Pulsatilla, Sepia or Lachesis are a few of the many effective remedies.

The choice of remedy is highly individual and requires expert help, so it’s not advisable to try and choose your own remedies in a shop, for your menopausal problems. I have experienced quite a few women trying out various remedies from the chemist and ending up getting very confused.

hot flushes

One of the most common symptoms is the hot flush. This can not only become a problem during the day, especially if you are working, but can cause sleep problems at night with constant waking up because of flushes of heat.

here are some pointers to help:

Wear layers so you can manage your temperature.

Wear natural fabrics that breathe.

Try to relax when you’re having a flush. This will help.

Carry moist tissues to freshen up after a flush.

Exercise is good. While short bursts of exercise can trigger a hot flush, regular exercise will help to reduce the overall number of attacks.

Stress also is known to be a potent trigger. Other triggers of hot flushes include coffee and alcohol.

foods to reduce hot flushes

The two main dietary sources of help with symptoms such as hot flushes are soya foods and linseeds (also called flaxseeds). The optimum intake to reduce hot flushes and other menopausal symptoms, is around a 100gram serving of tofu, soya yoghurt or a large glass of soya milk at least five times a week. A tablespoon of ground linseeds sprinkled onto cereal or into yoghurt daily can be effective after about six weeks.
Make sure you also eat wholegrains such as rye bread or crackers, porridge oats and wholemeal bread. Oily fish such as mackerel, sardines, tuna and salmon are also beneficial.

hormonal cake

An easy way to make sure that you are taking enough of the phyto-oestrogens is to make a cake that is rich in these foods and simply eat a slice every day.

here is the recipe:

50 grams sunflower seeds

50 grams pumpkin seeds

50 grams linseeds

50 grams sesame seeds

50 grams almond flakes

50 grams raisins

100 grams cranberries

150 grams chopped dried apricots

2″ stem ginger, chopped

½ teaspoon nutmeg

½ teaspoon cinnamon,

1 tablespoon malt extract

3 tablespoons apple juice

425 ml (approx) of soya milk

(add more if necessary to make a soft dropping consistency).

method:

Mix all the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Add the cranberries, apple juice and soya milk and stir well.

Leave to soak for approx ½ hour.

Pre-heat the oven to 190°C.

Line a loaf tin with baking paper and spoon mixture in.

Cook in pre-heated oven for approx 1¼ hrs. When cooled, slice and store in freezer.
It is better to slice the cake before freezing, this makes it easy to take out a daily slice each day.

can’t cook?

If you really don’t want to bake cakes every month there is an alternative called: The Linda Kearns Cake made by Wellfoods. Tel: 01226-381712.

They will send you (next day delivery) choices of flavours and choices of wheat free cakes, based on the same recipe as above.

help with herbs

European, Asian and Native American herbal traditions have a long history of easing menopausal symptoms. The most widely used herbal supplements or tinctures for reducing menopausal symptoms are:

black Cohosh is a popular Native American herb that is very effective for restoring hormone balance.

sage – This is a good herbal remedy for easing night sweats and hot flushes.

agnus Castus is a great hormone balancer. It works best taken first thing in the morning, every morning. It stimulates the pituitary gland which is in charge of producing and setting hormone levels.

don Quai has proved to be most effective for relieving symptoms of the menopause, in particular hot flushes as well as vaginal dryness.

st john’s wort – This herb is effective in mild to moderate depression and may help to alleviate some of the temporary low moods associated with the menopause.

supplements

essential Fatty Acids (EFAs) If you suffer from dry skin and hair, aching joints, breast pain and difficulty losing weight, you could be lacking in essential fatty acids.

Supplement with evening primrose oil and fish oils to make sure you are getting enough of both Omega 3 and Omega 6. Essential fats have also been shown to help relieve symptoms of vaginal dryness. Evening primrose is also very effective for painful, cystic breasts that can occur at this time.

vitamin C will help with hot flushes and also helps to build up collagen, which is what gives your skin elasticity. This should help prevent vaginal dryness.

vitamin E has been studied for many years for its ability to help reduce hot flushes. It is also beneficial for vaginal dryness and is a protective antioxidant that keeps skin healthy and supple.

B vitamins. When the ovaries begin to slowly produce less oestrogen, the adrenal glands are called on to start producing a form of oestrogen to counteract this. Supporting adrenal function is therefore vital. The B vitamins are renowned for their ability to relieve stress and support the adrenals.

B vitamins also help to alleviate symptoms of anxiety, low energy levels and poor concentration that are often associated with the menopause.

[For the actual amounts needed per person of herbs and supplements, I’d advise that you check with an expert.]

supplements for osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is usually a symptom of advancing age, but it can also be a consequence of the menopause. Oestrogen protects you by keeping calcium in the bones and thereby maintaining bone density.

During and after the menopause, when oestrogen levels are reduced, bone density decreases at a more rapid rate so it is advisable to take a preventative supplement.

Most chemists like Boots carry a combination supplement to help the bones. You’d need one which has Calcium, Magnesium, Boron and Vitamin D, all important nutrients for maintaining strong healthy bones. The Magnesium and Vitamin D are as important for you as the Calcium.

water

Drinking two litres of water a day is definitely beneficial to your general health. During the menopause, with constant fluid loss from hot flushes and night sweats, it is very important to make sure you are replenishing your system.

relaxation

As stress can have such a detrimental effect during the menopause it can make a big difference to your health if you are as relaxed as possible. Obviously in this day and age we tend to lead busy lives, so try taking some time out each day to relax. Yoga, meditation, reiki or listening to relaxation music can all help. meditation videos | binaural tones
Different people do meditation differently. Some people use silence or the sound of nature as their method of meditation. Others use a form of meditation audio such as guided meditation imagery, music, or a meditation mantra to follow.

When using meditation audio, the mind is relaxed and the focus on meditation is made easier since the music or sound becomes part of the meditation practice. If you’re using music, it needs to be relaxing so that way you can relax too. If it’s guided meditation that you are planning to use, all you need to focus on is guided words and imagery. And the list goes on and on.

If you can’t decide which kind of meditation audio to use, especially if you’ve never used it before, using guided meditation would be the best idea. With guided meditation, you are not only being directed on breathing techniques and focusing, but also on following the directions of the speaker for guided imagery, mantras, and affirmations. This is also a great introduction into the concept of meditation.

If you’re the type that just needs some audio to help you focus and calm down, even if you have practiced sitting in stillness or whatever other form of meditation you happen to be practicing, then using meditation music might be your answer. Any kind of music, as long as it’s relaxing is the way to go. It can be in the form of jazz, new age, classical, light piano music, or special music designed for meditation purposes only. The choice is up to you, and you must feel comfortable with your choice in order for your meditation to be comfortable and focusing.

If you still find music a bit distracting and want a deeper focus, a music focusing on prayer or mantra meditation might be your best bet. These forms of audio are deeply spiritual and intense and are a great way to opening up your spirit to a higher source of energy. The most popular of these are transcendental or other Eastern mystic mantra recordings.

If you’re looking to be with nature but cannot be outside because of inclement weather, then perhaps a nature audio recording is the way to go. You can find all kind of audio ranging from birds, to crickets, thunderstorms, oceans, or waterfalls. Some audio combines nature with music to create an atmosphere of peace and tranquility to your liking.

In bookstores, online, and even some music and metaphysical shops, meditation programs are available. They can be found on CD, tape, or if you wish to save a little money, are available for free or an I-Tunes download at a cheap and affordable price.

Discoveries have shown that 5% of women are wise, 15% are “those who think they are wise” while the remaining are “those that are not wise”. Search yourself women, which of these categories do you belong to? How do you react to issues? What values do you possess in this sinful world we live in? When you come across a woman that is wise, you need not be told. All it takes is just checking out her values. When you come across those who think they are wise, you would also know.

Sometimes last month, I was speaking with a lady on how to avoid choosing a wrong partner in marriage, she did not allow me just for 2 minutes before she cut me short saying “no one can teach me anything about relationship, I know all about it and I can even counsel you”. Funny enough, her friends sometimes ago had told me that she orders people around; she is demanding and would not listen to corrections because she thinks she knows it all. She is not a good example for younger ones and her life is not worthy of emulation even to adults. And of course the last set which sadly has the majority, “those that are not wise”.

I was invited to a wedding party about 6 weeks ago, a high profile party where attendance was strictly on invitation. Those in attendance were people of high repute, college lecturers, professors, senators and even 2 serving state governors were on ground. It was amazing to overhear a conversation between four elegant ladies and for about two hours, all they talked about was the latest soaps/home videos in town, reasons why you should not trust your man and finally how many bottles of beer coupled with plates of salad they would consume before leaving the venue. They never talked about vision, purpose and God.

Please note, if you expose your breast and buttocks in the name of fashion, you are not wise. If you have not yet discovered God’s purpose for your life and anything that comes your way seems to be okay with you (e.g. food, music, career, men, night and/or wild parties, friends and fake men of God) then you are not wise.

Talking about the 5% that are WISE, you would simply notice something in their lives. Their ways are beautiful inside out (from the inside), they are composed, intelligent, matured, godly, friendly, purposeful, and wealthy. They have good homes, great characters, great kids, healthy expressions and wonderful partners. Isn’t that the kind of life we all crave and dream about? Wait!

Let no one think that this is hard to accomplish. This kind of achievement is attainable. If you want it badly, then simply be my partner. Be a READER, that’s all. Anything that goes into the mind comes out in a life. We become the books we read. The books we read affect our lives. Please note! I’m not talking about reading romantic novels, because they won’t develop your mind talk less of making you wise concerning life related issues. Fashion magazines would not make you attract blessings. Home videos won’t help you discover your purpose in life. Gossiping won’t help you create a good relationship with God. Your B.Sc, HND, M.Sc, PhDs, etc would not teach you how to hold your home together even though they are good qualifications.

But the Bible, motivational and inspirational books related to the Bible will surely make all the difference in your life. You will find yourself amongst the 5% if you commit yourself to reading these books. If you come across a woman that is a role model living a lifestyle that you adore, don’t waste your time trying to figure out how she made it that way, simply ask her the type of book(s) she reads.

If you read the Holy Book and MEDITATE on what you have read, I assure you that nothing will be taken from you. You will know how to handle your life as a mother/wife, your body, business, kids, friends, even your partner. The Bible says “this book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shall meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shall have good success” (Joshua 1:8). You will surely have all round SUCCESS, as promised by God.

Start reading motivational and inspirational books that are related to the Bible today and everyone will call you a blessed WISE woman.

How to be a DJ is one skill that if asked most guys would want to learn. There is the whole idea of the lifestyle of girls, partying and music that makes it similar to the life of the rockstar. Well learning how to be a DJ is not all fun and games!

Those things may be there but learning how to be a DJ involves hard work and persistence, only then do you get the rewards.

I began DJing when I was in my mid teens. I grew up in a small town and it seemed everyone was DJing at the time since there was not much else to do around there. The good thing about this was I had a lot of people around me all into the same thing which is not something I can say about many of the hobbies I have undertaken. I feel this is a really invaluable thing when learning a new hobby as it keeps things fun and motivating. If you don’t have that however, there are things which can help you which I will tell you about later in this article.

To tell you the truth I was quite a late bloomer in learning how to be a DJ. Even though these guys around me were all DJing and hosting free raves out in the woods I was more interested in smoking weed and just bumming around. Why do I mention this? Maybe cos I want a shoulder to cry on over my misspent youth but other than that it is to tell you that you have to WANT to DJ and have a passion for it or else what’s the point? So at that point in my life I wasn’t too into Djing and as a result my skills were shoddy and pretty much nonexistent simply because I didn’t care too much and didn’t hardly practice.

So what is the next tip I’m giving you? Yea yea I know you are fed up of hearing it but it’s what separates the amateurs from the pros- it’s PRACTICE. I quickly watched my friends who were throwing parties race ahead of me in their skills since they would love to practice and go round each other’s houses many times a week to mix. So yea, motivation comes 1st then practice. I on the other hand was still not bothered about my DJing and was happy to watch them improve their skills (although secretly a little envious) while I sat back and enjoyed what they were spinning.

Fast forward a few years and I still had my decks but had moved to a new city and new friends. After having quite the break from DJing I got back into it again once I found some buddies who were into MCing. It was a bit of a different scene here since where I lived before everyone was a DJ with hardly any MCs but now it was the other way round. There were loads of MCs with not many DJs. So I became the main DJ for my group of friends. We would often come round to my house for a mixing session to my father’s dismay and rave it up of an evening.

This time round I would practice more and enjoy the practice. This is another main point. To stick at it I think you’ve gotta enjoy it which is pretty easy when you have a passion for the music you’re playing. DJing can be a great feeling when you really get in the flow of it and you’re riding the beats in the mix which brings me to my next point…

One of the most important skills you are going to master in learning how to be a DJ is learning to beatmatch. Beatmatching is the core skill of any budding DJ cos without it all the other fancy skills such as chopping scratching or even plain fading will sound worse than a barrel of apples falling off the cart. For those who don’t know beatmatching is where you match the tempo of one track to the next track and bring them together in the mix so they sound harmonious.

Even if you are not a DJ yourself you will have heard a sloppy out of time mix in a club before and know it sounds bad. I think this is the main skill which really lets a lot of Djs down because it really leaks into your other skills if it isn’t tight.

So how to beatmatch? To be honest I think I was a hard case when learning to beatmatch. It literally felt like it took me 5 years to learn but in fairness looking back I really didn’t apply myself to it like I could have. This is why why I am writing this article to encourage budding Djs to avoid the pitfalls I faced.

One of the main things you are gonna find when learning to become a DJ and learning to beatmatch is at the start you will sound like total crap. The thing with beatmatching is that until you are good at it your mixes are gonna sound like total garbage and if you are anything like me you will be embarrassed to play in front of anyone else with your ‘flabby’ out of time mixes. This is the critical time for patience and persistence because beatmatching is so important for a mix sounding decent you must get this down before moving on to other skills. Once you learn beatmatching all the other techniques will flow from there. I found once I learned beatmatching that my confidence to DJ in front of others really shot up and that was when I really began to enjoy it.

Thing is though, it is going to be really frustrating at first because not only can you not mix you are butchering your favourite tunes as they sound more out of step than a drunk granny who lost her walker.

So here I really want to drive home the importance of having patience. Lock yourself away from your friends if you have to while you learn it. Become like a DJ monk going into a period of deep meditation. It won’t matter if they wonder what happened to you because once you learn to beatmatch they and the girls will all be running to your side and want your attention with your newfound skills. PERSIST PERSIST PERSIST. Slowly but surely you will see progress and the great thing about that is that it will motivate you onwards more and more inch by inch. Learning how to be a DJ is a process.

My Old Life, as I now call it, was complicated on every level. Spending most of my time and energy pleasing others, feeling I somehow had to prove myself. I was a busy Mum and a wife, carving out a career. I was a daughter, a sister and a good friend to many. All the while trying so hard to find that work/ life balance that had so far eluded me.

Unbeknown to me at the time, I was stretching myself too far. Taking on extra shifts, helping at the children’s school while racing the clock to keep the home fires burning.

My friends, family and work colleagues would often ask me how I managed to do so much? I couldn’t tell them I was questioning that myself, along with my sanity!! The happy go lucky person they saw was exhausted, emotionally confused and drained. I thought if I worked harder and smarter I could get myself back on track. Looking back now, it is funny how things work out. Trying to work harder and smarter pushed me to my breaking point. I was suffering from burn out. Go figure!

I needed a month off work to recharge my batteries while thinking about the direction I wanted my life to take in the future, and at what cost to my health?

It felt quite foreign to me; to be resting instead of ‘DOING’. after all I was usually running around managing everything perfectly before wasn’t I??

I decided my life was too precious to not enjoy it. My burn out had forced me to make some changes toward removing stress from my life. I needed some help to find direction in my life, so I decided to have a psychic phone reading to help me find the clarity I was needing.

This was to become my new life mantra! Here are some of the ideas I came up with to create my new life, to walk my walk, talk my talk and live by my Burn Bright – Not out mantra.

Follow Your Heart

Previously I had walked (or in my case RUN) to the beat of everyone else’s drum. I burnt out trying to live up to what others expected of me. I was not honouring myself, I felt disappointed for not following the direction my heart was offering. I decided to get to know who I was again. Taking time to find out what made my heart sing. I wanted to lift my heavy energy and discover what brought me enjoyment. I began to shine when I allowed myself to follow my heart and walk my own path.

See the Flip Side

I taught myself, one step at a time to watch my thoughts and feelings.

Rather than getting bogged down in the ‘drama’ learn to flip the situation/ problem. I chose to look at what benefits may actually come from this so called terrible situation. What opportunities may come after this storm passes? What does this situation actually make ME feel, rather than joining in on what everyone else feels, I learnt to take the time to have and explore my own thoughts and opinions.

It is not always easy to look beyond the problem at hand, or to hold positive thoughts when things seem to be going wrong.

Sometimes what seems like a bad situation can be an opportunity to make positive change. Be the change you want to see is a message that was frequently shared during my phone psychic readings.

Compassion verses Competition

Taking the time to stop and listen to someone who is having their own problems or difficulties can be a healing process for both parties. It is human nature to be competitive and at times feel the need to defend ourselves or behaviour. If we are too busy stressing over our own issues, we are more open to being competitive and defensive, often leading to being misinterpreted, misunderstood and at times creating relationship breakdowns.

We have all found ourselves at times feeling the need to compete against others, or sit in judgement of their choices.

Refocus your perspective, stop and find your compassionate side. Allow others to have their time to express their thoughts and feelings, while choosing not to become entangled in their energy. Once you start being aware of your thoughts and actions, allowing your compassion for others to be present, you will feel more positive within yourself. Meanwhile those you showed compassion and understanding will feel more validated. They will feel their problems, opinions and perspectives are also important.

I call that a win win situation.

Release the build up

When we live in overdrive like ‘my old life’, our heads are rarely in a state of clear thinking. Often feeling heavy frustrated and confused, we may think we have everything under control. Only to find ourselves juggling many unfinished projects at once.

Due to the lack of clear thinking, we often remain stuck in this never ending cycle of non achievement, often repeating the same cycle over and over again. I don’t need to tell you how draining that can be.

Find ways to de-clutter your thinking.

You will find yourself achieving more, using less energy in your progression, often finding yourself becoming more efficient in many directions of your life. There are no hard and fast rules to spring cleaning your mind, so take the time to experiment with a few different activities to see what works best for you.

The following suggestions may help, or find your own favourite activities that allow your head some quiet time.

Meditation, reading, gardening, walking, listening to music, spending time in nature etc. Are all great ways to release the build up in your head? There are endless ways to find this peace and quiet, start finding yours today.

Toxic Situations and Relationships

As you practise ways to simplify your life, you may notice some of the relationships and situations in your life, may very well be one of the areas that you need to take a good look at. For example – you may come away from certain people or situations feeling drained and totally wiped out. Take some time to recognise how good or not so good you feel when you around certain people or repetitive situations. Honour yourself by either reducing the time you spend interacting with these people and make a conscious point not to keep repeating unhealthy experiences or relationships.

Small changes to the way you feel about who you are and where you are heading in your life often bring big changes to the way you now handle things. You will find yourself attracting new and more like minded people and positive opportunities into your life.

Is Your Compass Correct

I was burning the candle at both ends while working hard to build a strong and successful career. Although I was enjoying what my work involved, I would often find myself feeling tense and stressed by the time I arrived at work. I found myself struggling to stay motivated and productive. I started to notice feeling physically sick each morning as I drove to work.

I could no longer ignore that fact this uncomfortable feeling was associated with my work. I learnt to be guided by my inner compass. I needed time out to create moments of peace. Moments to think about what was right for me, to feel what it was like to feel my own feelings.

If it felt right, I would do more of it. If it felt wrong, I stepped away from it, consciously distracting my thoughts and feelings back to what felt right. One step at a time guiding myself back in the right direction.

I chose to resign from my position and follow what felt right. Now I am not saying if you are having a hard time at work that you just throw in the towel and give up! Just take the time to ‘check’ your feelings before, during and after work.

Check for ways of improving difficult situations. Once you can identify what is not working you can then find ways to correct them and change. Affirmations are great for creating positive changes in life. Imagine how great it would feel looking forward to going to work each day and enjoying it.

Be Kind to Yourself

We all know that life has lots of good moments, and some not so good moments. How you choose to respond and react to the good and the not so good, will actually effect your future progression. If you take the time to enjoy what is important to you, you will gradually work your way towards achieving your long term goals. You will have the time, energy, $$$, relationship or whatever it is you are working towards.

The kinder you are to yourself and others, the simpler your life will become. After all, we are meant to enjoy life. Try it!! What have you got to lose?

Brainwave Entrainment What is Severe Anxiety Disorder?

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

When an individual gets a diagnosis from their physician telling them that they are suffering from severe anxiety disorder it can be a very confusing and frightening ordeal as it sounds so serious and by all rights it is serious, but by simply finding the right form of treatment this disorder can once again be brought under control and even completely cured.

Severe anxiety disorder is a mental disorder which causes an individual to experience extremely heightened states of anxiety or panic even when there sometimes seems to be no logical reason for them to be experiencing this type of state of mind or levels of panic.

The more the individual begins to perceive this anxiety or panic, the more their mind responds by sending them into what is commonly known as a “fight or flight” frame of mind. When one enters into this frame of mind the mind sends signals to the nervous system which result in the release of natural stimulants such as adrenalin into the body and one starts to then feel the physical effects of an anxiety or panic attack.

These physical symptoms include increased heart rate, sweating, muscle tension and tremors, difficulty breathing and even heart palpitations and chest cramps similar to those experienced when an individual is having a heart attack, this then increases the anxiety or panic levels in the individual as they very often will be overcome by the fear of actually dying during the attack.

As you will now understand, severe anxiety disorder can prove to be very debilitating for an individual as they will start to allow this disorder to actually take control of their lives and the activities which they feel comfortable taking part in.

The great part is that after much research and testing it has been found that it is not always necessary for an individual suffering from this disorder to commit themselves to a lifetime of prescription medication so as to be able to deal with the disorder.

There is in fact much evidence that more natural approaches to severe anxiety disorder treatment such as hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, meditation and brainwave programming sometimes are far more effective as they actually go about treating the cause of the disorder rather than simply disguising the symptoms.
