Stress is part and parcel of all our lives and there is no way of avoiding it. I am afraid that no one of such is borne with a mental shield to block away the effects of stress. No matter how much or how little, each and every one of us is experiencing the effects of stress on a daily basis. From unexplained migraines to emotional mood swings, these are the very nefarious side effects of bad time management, unrealistic deadlines, arguments with loved ones, financial crisis, bills, and personal problems – all concerting with each other and attacking you with almost militaristic precision. There is nothing we can do about it – or so we thought. There is a lot to be said about the ways that people living in this hectic world can beat stress and keep it off their heads.

How good would it be to walk around unaffected by the things that should be bothering us, headache free, smiling at the world while we nonchalantly glance at the watch on occasion – not worried about impending deadlines and the fact that we are late for work even though we stayed into unearthly hours the previous night? We are not swamis nor are we walking self hypnotists who have the power to slip into a meditative state where we can literally scrub our minds of these worries and shield our soul and spirit with an armour plating of positive thinking. That does sound ridiculous – or does it? What if i told you that this was possible – that we can literally reach into our minds and reprogram ourselves so that we are unworried, take things easy, smile at life and have a constant and positive outlook at everything that comes our way?

The word here is subliminal messaging, and would you believe it, this technology is available in albums all over the internet – CD’s that you can download or order from a merchant and will be delivered to you within just a few days. All you need to do is to find a quiet spot and to listen to your CD for just 20 minutes at a time, and you will be a fresher more ecstatic you within no time, the creases on your forehead will disappear and you will have iron fists against the problems of your life. That is the power of subliminal message and how the technology works is that positive messages are embedded within either visual or music mediums. They are played out of the range of our awareness – but well within the range of our pre conscious mind. These messages are then bombarded into the subconscious mind – in which it will play its evolutionary part and embed these messages within your emotional and psychological substructure.

You will begin to see the differences almost immediately. Your breathing will be easier, the heartburn will slowly disappear, you will feel that a weight has been lifted from your shoulders. You suddenly are able to see your problems and focus on them – and bring about solutions that have been so evasive. That is the power of subliminal messaging!

As the energy field around us shifts to higher vibrations, many people are awakening to their true, spiritual nature. They are awakening to their birth right to be happy, healthy and free. They are connecting with these higher vibration energies.

The higher vibrations of these energies will bring better health, happiness and inner peace if we open our hearts to it. Because energy and consciousness are connected, as the energy in and around us rises so does our consciousness. Thus, a global human awakening occurs.

For our own health and happiness, it is important to raise our vibrations and cultivate inner peace, peace of mind and joy. It is important for us to shift to higher vibrations and let go of and release lower vibration energies.

As we connect to and draw in these higher vibration energies, we will be happier and healthier. We will feel more peaceful. But, our health and happiness will be damaged if we continue to hold onto the painful past and negative beliefs, thoughts and emotions. The higher vibration energies we draw in and send out from our heart will help cleanse the lower vibration energies in us. Happiness begins with freedom from the painful past and connecting to, drawing in and sending out love – pure infinite, unconditional love.

You will find infinite, unconditional love in your heart/heart chakra. It is Divine, high vibration, life force energy. It is Source energy. You will feel it when you cleanse and heal your heart chakra, open your heart and let go of stored emotional pain. You will find freedom when you free your mind of ongoing negative thoughts and negative, rigid and limiting beliefs.

Freedom begins when we free ourselves of the painful past and the negative beliefs, thoughts and emotions that grip us. The negative thoughts lead to negative emotions and the negative thoughts come from negative, rigid and limiting beliefs that often come out of the painful past.

Freedom begins when we change our beliefs from negative to positive and forgive ourselves and all others and let go of the painful past. Freedom begins when we stop worried thoughts, angry thoughts and comparative thoughts that cause us to focus on lack.

Freedom begins when we stop thinking about those who hurt us. It comes when we stop dwelling on negative situations and, instead, focus on our own happiness. Freedom begins when we turn off the news and turn on the music. It begins when we focus on our precious loved ones and the kind and positive people and pets in our lives who make us feel good -and not those who hurt and intimidate us and make us feel bad.

To be free, cultivate the feeling of freedom. To feel free, shed negative, rigid and limiting beliefs and stop living in your head/thoughts (shift into your heart and live there). Stop uncontrolled, running negative thoughts.. Freedom begins when you focus on all the details of the moments in life and the beauty of nature all around you and when you experience the moment in your heart (and not in your head/thoughts).

Negative, rigid and limiting beliefs and negative thoughts and emotions will lower your vibrations. Stress, depression, fear, anxiety, worry, anger, guilt and shame lead to low vibrations. Physical, mental and emotional illness come from these lower vibrations.

So, change your beliefs from negative to positive with positive affirmations, open your mind and your heart and relax and live. You can find positive affirmations on YouTube. These will help change your beliefs from negative to positive. Say them to yourself over and over each day until you believe them. Open your heart and mind and let go of negative and rigid beliefs. This will help raise your vibrations by elevating your thoughts and emotions.

The energy shift will make you feel good inside if you open your heart and mind to the higher vibration energies. This will happen as you cultivate ongoing feelings of love, peace, harmony, balance and happiness, as you focus on having fun and enjoying life, as you center, ground and free yourself. You will then feel the ongoing vibrations of inner peace and happiness in your heart and torso.

These feelings can only be found inside your body. You must go inside yourself to cultivate them and do inner work (especially heart centered meditation and prayer). Focus on love- being love, filling yourself up with love, sending love (and praying for others) and being loving, patient and kind.

The high vibration energies are life force energies of pure unconditional love. High vibration energies lead to happiness, inner peace and good health. Low vibration, negative energies lead pain and illness. Low vibration, negative energies are channeled into us from our own negative beliefs and thoughts, our ego-based intellect, our negative speech and acts and a negative inner voice.

As we dwell on the negative and hold onto the painful past and cultivate negative beliefs, thoughts and emotions through the ego-based intellect, we bring toxic, negative energy into ourselves. These energies form negative energy blockages and chords restrict the free flow of life force energy through our bodies and lower our vibrations. Negative energy compels more negative thoughts and emotions.

Negative beliefs lead to negative thoughts and negative thoughts cause negative emotions, such as anger, fear, anxiety, guilt, regrets and resentment. These emotions bring toxic low vibration energy in our bodies. For good health and happiness, it is essential to be mindful of our beliefs, thoughts and emotions and shift out of negative territory and back into positive territory.

To take advantage of the energy shift, open your heart and mind, meditate and pray in and from your heart daily. Express gratitude, Accept and do not judge. Rather observe and be fully engaged and focused in the moment. The most important thing to do now is to center yourself in your heart. Shift out of your head and into your heart. Live in your heart, in the moment, in your senses and in the flow of the Divine energies of unconditional love. Use your head for positive and productive thoughts.. Let go of all narrow and rigid beliefs and just live, just be.

So, we focus on our own happiness first – inner peace, peace of mind and higher vibrations.

Do little things to raise your vibrations – these include smiles, kindness, kind and positive words and patience in your daily interactions. Listen to peaceful and joyful music. Dance. Enjoy life. Live each moment to the fullest. Be fully present in each moment. Take the time to experience each moment with your full senses. Try to not experience the moment in your head and thoughts, but in your heart and senses. Be mindful of your thoughts and emotions. If they become negative, then take the time to shift back into your heart, focus solely on your breath for a few minutes and get back into being in the moment with full attention and awareness.

To raise your vibrations: Do things that are fun. Make yourself happy. Do not hurt or deceive others. Enjoy and fully experiencing each moment. Get in and around nature often. Do what makes you happy – laugh, smile, dance, exercise, do yoga, take walks. Give yourself the gift of inner peace through meditation, prayer and yoga.

Become conscious of your eternal and spiritual nature. Feed that aspect of yourself – with music, harmony, nature and fun. Your eternal and spiritual nature is free, happy and filled with love and light. This is the side of you that wants to have fun and enjoy life and be peaceful and content. But, negative beliefs, thoughts and emotions along with stress will disconnect you from your eternal and spiritual side. They will cut you off from the flow of Source energy felt in the heart/heart chakra.

Let go of obsessive desires, worries and concerns and love yourself )i.e., make yourself happy). Do what is necessary to reduce stress factors in your life including the stress that comes from negative and toxic people, environments and situations. Let go and focus on achieving and maintaining peace of mind, inner peace and happiness.

Improve your posture. Exercise, stretch and do yoga. Dance.Get massages. Eat mostly fresh, whole (organic if possible) vegetables and fruit. All of this will help raise your vibrations, relax your body and improve the flow of energy in your body. Try to experience life in the moment, through your senses and not your thoughts, by shifting out of your head and into your heart.

The law of attraction will work for you as you get rid of the negative and cultivate the positive. The negative lowers your vibrations. The positive raises them. Pursuant to the law of attraction, “like attracts like.” As a positive, high vibration person, you will attract the positive into your life.

We are all connected to each other, the Earth and Universe. You can bring Earth energy into your body through the bare soles of your feet. This is done by grounding yourself with your bare feet. Earth energy is healing energy.

You can connect to the high vibrations of the energy field that surrounds the Earth through your heart. This brings an ongoing feeling of inner peace and happiness. You access this energy through deep breathing and your heart. Flush out and let go of the painful past and stored negative thoughts and emotions. Cultivate positive thoughts and emotions and let go of negative ones.

The energy that is in us affects our thoughts and emotions and our thoughts and emotions affect the energy that is in us. Positive energy brings us positive thoughts and emotions and positive thoughts and emotions bring us positive energy.

Go for energy healing and cleansing. This includes Reiki, acupuncture, emotional freedom techniques, massage and other types of energy healing modalities.

Here are some exercises to bring inner peace and higher vibrations:

Positive affirmations

Negative thoughts come from rigid, narrow and negative beliefs. Positive thoughts come from positive beliefs and an open mind and heart. Positive thinking requires us to love and honor ourselves and be kind to ourselves. We need to cultivate a kind inner voice and get rid of the judgmental and critical inner voice. We need to stop beating ourselves up about the past. The past is over and cannot be changed. We can change the future by changing ourselves in the now. This requires us to forgive ourselves for the past and let go of and detach from the past. We do this so we can move forward in a positive and happy state of mind. An important aspect of positive thinking is to develop positive beliefs about ourselves. Positive affirmations are an essential way to do this. Positive affirmations include the words “I am” and an adjective. For example, we say over and over to ourselves “I am happy, peaceful and serene. I am love, loved and lovable. I am perfect just the way I am.” There are many other positive affirmations. See YouTube for positive affirmation exercises.

White light meditation

Sit comfortably or lie down. Close your eyes and focus on your breath. Get relaxed. Visualize a bright white sun where your heart is.Visualize that this bright white sun radiates bright white light in your entire body. Visualize that the white light fills up your entire body and creates an intact white aura all around you. The goal is to raise your vibrations. Clasp your hands together and visualize this white light go out three to six inches from you. Now hold the visualized white light there with the intention of raising your vibrations. Visualized white light will cleanse and heal your energy body and raise your vibrations. This will help life force energy flow more freely through your body.To raise your vibrations, sit comfortably, open your hand and repeatedly slap your chest and upper arms (not so hard that you hurt yourself). When you stop, you will feel these vibrations in your body. To raise your vibrations, shift out of your head and thoughts and into your heart, solar plexus and torso and live there as much as possible. Take a few seconds each day to visualize that you are filled up with white light and that an intact shell of white light surrounds you. This will help protect you from negative energy. Send out visualized white light from your heart as often as possible. Put citrine, orgone, rose quartz and/or clear crystals (high vibration crystals) over your heart or hold them in your left hand when you do this exercise. Put them in your home, carry them in your pockets and/or wear them over your heart. They will help raise your vibrations.

Green and blue light meditation

Sit comfortably close your eyes and focus on your breath. Get relaxed. Visualize a bright green and then bright light-blue sun where your heart is and then in front of you. Visualize that this inner sun radiates bright green and then bright blue light in your entire body and head. Visualize that these colors – green and light blue- fill up your entire body and head and create an intact color aura around you. Green is for healing depression. Light blue is for healing anxiety. If you have trouble visualizing the colors green and light blue, then look at the colors and then close your eyes and imagine them. Look at grass and trees for green and the blue sky and water for light blue.

Chakra cleansing, healing, balancing and alignment

Close your eyes and sit comfortably or lie down. Focus on each of the seven major chakra points, one at the time and visualize that you bathe them in white light. Then visualize each of the chakra colors one at a time with your eyes closed. YouTube has good chakra cleansing, healing, balancing and alignment meditation videos.

The Violet Flame

Sit comfortably close your eyes and focus on your breath. Get relaxed. Hold your hands open in a position of receiving from the Universe. Visualize a violet flame in front of you, like a campfire flame. Invite that flame into your body and feel it fill your body up from your belly to your throat. Feel it raise your vibrations as it burns off low vibration negative energy in you. Put citrine (high vibration crystal) over your heart or hold it in your left hand when you do this exercise.

Melting the hard shell around the heart (heart chakra)

Traumas and stress often cause a hard energetic shell to form around the heart (or heart chakra). To more effectively draw in chi energy/positive energy/love, melt this hard energetic shell around the heart. In meditation, close your eyes and visualize a hard gray shell around your heart. Visualize a white light orb above or in front of you. Visualize that this white light orb shoots out laser beams that blast the hard gray shell around your heart. Visualize the hard shell melt and your heart become pink, open, soft and vital. Put rose quartz over your heart or hold it in your left hand when you do this exercise.

Higher self and inner child meditation/visualizations

These exercises will help build up your inner power, self confidence, self esteem and happiness. This is done by connecting and integrating with your higher self (i.e., your soul) and inner child. Your higher self/soul is all loving, happy, holy and peaceful. Your inner child is full of happiness, wonder, energy and fun. When we are fully connected to and integrated with our higher self and inner child, we feel happy, peaceful, complete and confident. We have high self esteem, a lot of energy and we enjoy life. In meditation visualize a pure white angel that looks just like you (but is happy, peaceful and full of love and white light). See an energy cord connect you to that angel from your heart. Visualize that angel (your higher self) now merge with you. Visualize you as a child playing and having fun. See an energy cord connect you to that child from your heart. Visualize that child (your inner child) now merge with you. Visualize that you hug that child and tell him or her that he or she is safe and to just have fun. Take a pillow and visualize that pillow is you as a child and hug it. Tell the inner child you love him or her. Now, become the loving inner parent to our inner child. Indulge your inner child everyday by allowing yourself to have fun and do things that make you happy.

Meditation/visualizations to get rid of negativity

Here is an exercise to get rid of stored anger, fear, anxiety and painful and negative memories: Visualize the image of the painful event from the past or the image that worries you about the future. Close your eyes and visualize this image in a glass ball that hovers a few feet in front of you. Put your hands on this visualized ball and push it with force deep into the ground. Hear and feel the energy cords that attach you to the image snap and fall away. Do this over and over until the image no longer has an energetic grip on you and all related anger and fear melt away. As you push the ball deep into the ground say the following to yourself: “Into the ground, into the core go away, melt away, gone.” In deep meditation, visualize positive scenes that make you feel happy. Focus on scenes from nature and celebrations.

Cutting energy cords

The ego spins out energy attachments to people, things, substances and beliefs to fill a void. These energy attachments lead to unbalanced thoughts, obsessions, ruminations, lusts and addictions. As we build up the white light within and connect and integrate with higher self and inner child, the void disappears and we will not spin out these energy cords very much. In order to substantially reduce ruminations, obsessions, lusts and addictions and establish balance, it is important to cut energy cords – especially energy cords with negative and toxic people and painful memories and achieve and maintain inner peace and balance. Likewise, it is important to let go of anger and hate and fear. To heal, it is important to detach from and let go of emotional pain. So, to cut energy cords, do the following: Sit down and close your eyes. Visualize the energy cords that attach you to people, things, substances, ideas and beliefs that cause unbalanced or obsessive thoughts and addictions. Visualize them as cords connected to your heart and torso. With your weak hand visualize that you grab the cords. Then with your strong hand visualize that you cut them and sever them from you with a visualized knife or scissors. Visualize that they fall away.

Prayer

Spiritual prayer from the heart is important to connect us to the Divine source of life force energy and our higher selves and to elevate our hearts and souls over our egos. Pray to the Divine from your heart daily. Give praise and thanks to the Divine, ask for forgiveness, and ask for protection and blessings. Recite in your heart the powerful prayers of your faith. With your eyes closed, offer all negativity and sin to the Divine and ask the Divine to lift all this from you. Visualize that you are offering up this negative bundle with your eyes closed and feel it lift from you.

Grounding

Grounding is important to do to fully focus your mind and to be in the moment. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed and your feet firmly planted on the ground. Take off your shoes. Visualize that roots or laser beams shoot out from your feet and into the earth, going all the way to the center of the earth. Visualize that they anchor you firmly to the earth. Visualize that you draw the energy of the earth in through the soles of your feet and up your body.

Centering

Center yourself in the middle of your heart and the middle of your forehead and stand or sit straight. Posture is important. Negative thoughts and a negative inner voice come in when we are un-focused and slouching. Visualize a big white sun where your heart is located. Close your eyes and put your hand over your heart and shift your consciousness and energy to that spot. Alternatively, visualize an orb of white light above your head and below your feet and visualize that a beam of white light shoots out from the orbs and the light beams meet at the center of your body. With respect to centering in the middle of your forehead, put your fingers on your forehead and shift your energy and consciousness there. Center and focus. To fortify your ability to center and focus, do directed or seed mediation set forth above. Negative thoughts and a negative inner voice come from the sides and back of the head. Therefore, centering your energy and consciousness in the middle of your forehead is important to still the negative thoughts and negative inner voice. Be mindful of negative thoughts and a negative inner voice. When they come, switch to positive thoughts and images, positive affirmations, deep breathing exercises, centering yourself and staying focused in the moment. Live in the moment and your senses and not in your thoughts. Thoughts tend to always go negative when we live in them. Stop angry thoughts about the painful past or worried thoughts about the future especially. Just Be.

Visualization for energy and power

Sit comfortably with your eyes closed and your feet firmly planted on the ground. Clasp your hands together. Visualize and will the energy from the earth come up the soles of your feet, up your legs and accumulate as a molten mass of energy in your solar plexus. Hold that energy there. Alternatively, visualize a bright white sun in the middle of your solar plexus or an orb of white light in front of you that shoots white light in you. Visualize this white light accumulate like a molten mass of energy in your solar plexus. Hold the energy in your solar plexus for awhile. Meditate on the color yellow for energy and power and orange for happiness.

You have read about The Law of Attraction and heard success stories about how ordinary people just like you have made their dreams a reality. You have heard how it is possible by visualizing and meditation on a goal, such as a new home, job or a particular shiny new car, it is possible to bring those things into your life and make them a reality. But it just doesn’t seem to be working for you. You grow frustrated and think that it’s all a bunch of garbage.

The truth is that it’s not a bunch of garbage and you’re probably just missing some key practical elements of how to use the Law of Attraction to manifest your dreams into your reality. Give yourself a break and let’s learn how to use the Law of Attraction in a way that helps you instead of hurting you.

Yes, as a side note, the Law of Attraction can hurt you. Every time you give up and mentally throw your dreams aside saying that you will never live the life that you dream of you bring yourself one step closer to living a life of poverty, loneliness and mediocrity, depending upon what aspect of your life you are focusing on.

Some practical advice for how to begin to see some success with manifesting your dreams by using the Law of Attraction might be to look at it the same as you would any other skill. If you wanted to learn to play a musical instrument or become a contender in a marathon you would spend some time training, studying and learning, correct? If you picked up a violin or a saxophone right now you might be able to make some noise with it but it wouldn’t be anything close to musical, right? And if you just walked outside your door and began running you might be able to make it to the end of the street but my no means would you be in any shape to run a marathon, correct? So why do you expect such great things out of yourself when it comes to using the Law of Attraction without some study, mental preparation and training?

Just like any skill it is helpful to study and start small. If you were training for a marathon you would create a plan to build up your body through exercise and running that would help you to increase your stamina every day. Each day you would increase the distance that you ran. You might run in a few 5K runs to give yourself a sense of confidence and accomplishment as you build up to running that marathon.

Likewise, you should create goals that will lead you to your ultimate goal to increase your confidence and improve your manifesting skills along the way. By successfully manifesting something that might not seem too unreasonable you will build up your “manifesting muscles” while bringing you one step closer to that which has been so elusive in your life.

Small, steady steps towards your ultimate goal will bring you closer to living the life of your dreams day by day. Expecting the manifestation of a goal that is beyond what you believe you can achieve will only frustrate you and work against you in building up your manifestation skills. Be kind to yourself and work diligently on a daily basis at improving and stretching your manifestation muscles and you will see a significant change in your life as the days, weeks and months pass.

Brainwave Entrainment The Latest Brainwave Synchronization With External Rhythmic Stimuli

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Shoot…. Every time you think you know what’s going on, something NEW pops up!

Let me start with the old: brainwave entrainment.

Know how when you go to a live concert you kind of get hypnotized by the music? It could also happen with a good stereo, but generally when the stereo is on you are doing something else as well, like driving, or cleaning the house, so it isn’t as noticeable. But at a concert you aren’t doing anything but being at the concert, and within a few minutes your mind and body fall into the rhythm and beat of the music. Doesn’t life seem good when that happens? Don’t you feel energized, connected? Doesn’t the limit of possibility seem to expand?

That is a example of brainwave entrainment. Your own brainwave frequencies start synchronizing to the rhythm and beat of the music, the external rhythmic stimuli. The researchers call that Frequency Following Response: FFR.

The first recorded instance of FFR was in 1656. Christiaan Huygens, a Dutch scientist, was trying to develop a more accurate clock. He placed two unsynchronized pendulum clocks on a wall next to each other. What he noticed was that the two clocks slowly synchronized to each other, and the synchronization was so accurate that even mechanical intervention could not synchronize them better. It was later discovered that entrainment is a principle in all of nature, as evidenced in chemistry, physics, and biology.

Needless to say the researchers found a way to use that principle, to quantify the frequency following response, and to simulate it in order to enhance various human needs. They use what they call binaural beats to create relaxation, meditation, creativity, learning, lessening of negativity, increase in sense of possibility.

When the principle of FFR was applied to human brainwaves in a scientific manner it seemed like the ultimate self-development tool. It didn’t seem that life could get better for those of us struggling to develop our potential. But life DID just get better!

Researchers have now imaged and recorded the brainwaves of intellectual and creative geniuses. And those brainwaves are available for anyone to follow and synchronize with!
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain? ?requency following?response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Breathing Exercises Take a moment to close your eyes and focus only on your breathing. Inhale slowly through your nose. Feel your diaphram move up into your ribcage and extend your belly outward as you inhale. Slowly push out your breathe as you exhale through your mouth. Feel the stress being breathed out of your body. It is no longer a part of you. Each breath should take 6 seconds to complete. Spend 3 seconds slowly inhaling through your nose and the other 3 seconds slowly exhaling through your mouth. Take 5-10 breaths like this and you’ll instantly feel more relaxed.
Drink Green Tea L-theanine is an amino acid found in tea plants. It also promotes relaxation and modifies the stimulating effects of the caffeine present in green tea. What does that mean exactly? Well L-theanine is a caffeine antagonist, meaning that it offsets the “hyper” effect of caffeine. That is why many people will have a “soothing” cup of tea and not a soothing cup of coffee. Green tea contains more theanine than the other teas. Try drinking Green Tea in the morning for a more gradual and calming wake-up boost.
Listen to Music Sit back and relax to your favorite tunes. I love listening to classic rock. If you’re feeling nostalgic, put on something that will transport you to another place in time. Escape and think of nothing but the music. Try to play songs with a positive or uplifting message. Really it’s up to you. Just enjoy and have fun!
Take a Foot Bath Even if you don’t actually own a foot bath, you can fill up a large bowl with warm water and have a nice long soak. Put in some bath salts to give your feet a soft smooth feel. Add some flowers and lavender if you like to really add to the pampering quality of this experience. Put on some relaxing music and sit in a comfy chair while your soothe your cares with this moment of zen.
Meditate on Gratitude Take a few minutes to think about all the things you are grateful for. It could be as simple as feeling grateful for the food in your fridge or the way your puppy dog loves you. Take the time to appreciate all the gifts you have in life and how lucky you are to have them. When you show thanks for the good in your life, more good will attract itself to you. I spend 5 minutes every morning meditating on gratitude while I take a shower. It’s amazing how it always starts me off in such a great mood for the day.
Exercise Although Cardio Exercise like running or bike riding is more effective for relieving anxiety, weight lifting works well too. Really, just getting to the gym in general and burning off some steam is a wonderful way to feel better. Exercise doesn’t just provide a physical release. You’re also providing a mental release as well. By exercising, you couterbalance your negative thoughts with a positive feeling that you are taking steps towards improving your health. In effect, you cast aside worry and calm your mind with the natural high of working out.
Get Rid of the Clutter Feng Shui is the art of creating a serene and relaxing home. Part of this study involves clearing the clutter from your environment. Clutter creates a sense of confusion and chaos. By cleaning up your home, you’re essentially clearing out the clutter from your mind. I feel so much better after doing just a little bit of housekeeping. I find it extremely relaxing to be in a clean home. I personally like getting rid of old clothes. If I haven’t worn them in a year, then they are wasteful clutter and can be given away.
Get a Massage Take the time to treat yourself to a massage. You deserve it. A massage is not only relaxing, it also promotes healthy blood circulation and overall well-being. So go ahead, pamper yourself and feel good about it. Afterall, you’re not just doing something good for your mind. You’re also promoting a healthy body.
Go for a Walk Nothing clears my head like a nice brisk walk. This is even better if you have beautiful backgrounds of nature to stroll through. Whenever I visit my extended family (they live in the country), I always make time for a 10 minute walk around their lake. As you walk, think about the rhythm of your body as you stride from one step to the next. It’s calming to focus on your breathing. Concentrate on each breath and empty your thoughts and you move along.
Aromatherapy Connecting certain fragrances to an emotionally uplifting situation will trigger a relaxation response. For example, try lighting some of your favorite incense or fill your home with the aroma of potpourri while you sit back and meditate your worries away. If those aromas are too strong for you, you can buy a less pungent smelling Glade air freshener. They just plug into any outlet and you can adjust the amount of fragrance that they release. I personally love using Glade plug-ins. Vanilla is my favorite. It’s a gentle scent that eases my mind.
Do Charity work When you help others, you take the focus off yourself. Taking the focus off yourself is a big part of overcoming anxiety. You internalize less and simply live in the moment, taking pleasure in the world around you. Feel good about yourself for doing a positive thing for others.
Read Escape to another place and time. Live in someone elses shoes for a while and leave your troubles behind. Reading is actually another form of meditation. You leave your own thoughts and simply follow a scripted story. You’re essentially just going along for the ride and forgetting the world around you. I doesn’t matter what you read as long as it takes your thoughts elsewhere. This is a healthy break from things and will relieve anxiety within minutes.
Write out Your Thoughts If you feel anxious or upset, write down your thoughts in a letter or diary. Sometimes, getting it all out on paper can feel like you’re getting out of your system. Don’t meditate on your negative thoughts. Simply spill them out in front of you. Feel the words leaving your your mind and making room for a more peaceful state of consciousness.
Take a Hot Bath Let your muscles relax and sit in peace as the water calms and soothes you. Light some candles to create and even more tranquil environment. Play music to heighten the effect. There’s no rule that says you can’t turn your bathroom into a getaway spa if only for an hour.
Avoid Caffeine This may sound like a bit of a tough one. I myself used to be a bit of a caffeine addict. And guess what? This was right around the same time my anxiety was at its worst. Sound like a coincidence? Not really. It’s easy to think that caffeine heightens you mood. Afterall, it’s a stimulant. But the crash that you get from a strong caffeine high is enough to bring on extreme anxiety and depression. So do yourself a favor and start weening yourself off the caffeine train. I now start every morning with Green Tea and I eat a Granny Smith apple with my breakfast. Granny Smiths have been proven to actually wake you up just as much as a cup of coffee in the morning.
Stretch Every night before bed, take 5 minutes to stretch. Even if it’s just touching your toes, every bit helps. When you stretch, you relieve tension in your back and muscles. You’ll feel calmer and more relaxed instantly. This is a great way to prepare for a fantastic night’s sleep. If you prefer not to stretch right before bed, you can stretch before going to the gym. It helps circulation and prevents injury as well. This anxiety reliever takes just minutes and it really does wonders.
Eat Chocolate Chocolate releases phenylethylamine in the brain. This so called “chocolate amphetamine” causes changes in blood pressure and blood-sugar levels leading to feelings of excitement and alertness. It works like amphetamines to increase mood and decrease depression. It’s been said that chocolate creates a feeling of “being in love”. I just like the taste myself. But if you needed some extra convincing to eat a piece of chocolate, know that it’s been proven to relieve anxiety.
Smile Smile and think of a time when you were most happy. Think of a funny moment, a family member you love or a time when you dared to try something new. Smile and think positively. Throw your negative thoughts out of your head and shield them off with a broad, life-loving smile. Share your smile with others. When you smile at someone, they can’t help but smile back at you. It’s part of human nature. Smile and bring joy into the lives of others. Smile and keep that smile for as long as you want to. The choice really is yours.
Guided Imagery Guided Imagery is just a fancy way of saying visualize something that calms you. When you feel anxious or stressed, close your eyes. Picture a serene setting where you’d love to escape to. For me, my visualization involves laying in a beautiful grassy field under a wise, angular tree that stretches high above me. The sky is clear, sunny and ominous with breathtaking clouds. There are no bugs in my vison and the temperature is just perfect. A cool breeze engulfs my body in a refreshing whisper. I’m barefoot and the grass cushions my body with soft feathery support. I feel as light as air and my mind drifts off into sleepy bliss. Get the idea? It’s good to make your vision as detailed as possible. Become completely emersed in the escape and leave your anxiety out of the picture.
Sex I find it impossible to feel anxiety when I am completely carried away with lovemaking. Sex is healthy, good for the mind and body. It rejuvenates you and makes you feel completely alive. This anxiety reliever should not be overlooked. When you are completely swept away by the love of your partner, you forget about all of life’s stresses. Take a vacation from the anxiety in your mind. Instead, fill your head with the thoughts of love for another. Then indulge yourselves and think of nothing but the moment.
Repeat a Mantra As the Law of Attraction States, thoughts are things. So when you think negatively, negative things will come into your life. Conversely, when you think positively, positive things will come into your life. Having a Mantra is a great way to control your thought pattern and relieve anxiety. When you’re feeling anxious, have a mantra or short prayer memorized that you can repeat in the moment. Everyone’s mantra will be different and tailored to their own anxiety but my mantra is: “I am a kind, loving person. I strive everyday to be the best I can be and all good things flow to me from the universe. Any worry or stress I have now will not make a difference in the longterm of my life. My life is good and will continue to be good. I am blessed for all that I have. The only opinion that matters in life is the opinion of myself. I love myself.” You can make your mantra whatever you choose. Make it something that speaks to your mentality and comforts your soul. Repeat your mantra in times of doubt and confusion. Hold firm that it is the truth. Your mantra will be your relaxing touchstone.
Eat Your Favorite Food I’m not telling you to go out and binge eat to get over your anxiety. Obviously that’s not a healthy strategy. However, you are allowed to indulge in your favorite comfort foods when things get particularly stressful. My comfort food is sushi. I like it when it’s super fresh and the rice is still slightly warm. I add a little hot Miso soup to the mix to really make me feel cozy. This is my relaxing meal. What’s yours?
Go by or Near Water This could be as simple as laying by a pool or walking along the shoreline of your favorite beach. Water naturally has a calming effect on us. The calming effect is thought to be derived from the peaceful time when we were in out mother’s womb. Some other ideas for going near water could be visiting an aquarium, watching a beautiful lightening storm from your window, taking a walk around a lake or even simply taking a hot shower.
Grab Your Blankie Your “Blankie” is symbolic. It can be anything that gives you comfort. My “Blankie” is my wedding ring. In times of high anxiety, sometimes I just look at my ring. I’ll think of my husband and the love we have for one another. I am instantly soothed. Maybe you have a lucky charm as your blankie? A necklace? A favorite sweatshirt? A great pair of jeans? Your blankie can be anything. Think of it when panic arises.
Take a Nap Sometimes Anxiety can simply be brought on my an overtired state of mind. Take a break and snooze away your stress. You’ll wake up refreshed and ready to start the rest of your day with a more patient and relaxed state of mind.

In your pursuit of spiritual awareness, you may have embraced the “consciousness” movement. After all, it sounds good, right? Become more conscious of yourself, humanity, and the environment, and strive to better the planet.

However, what you may not realize is that to many advocates, “consciousness” includes destructive economic and political policies.

You’re Not Alone if You’ve Fallen For it

Many people have become ensnared in the consciousness trap. The music -to-your-ears cosmic messages, on the surface, appear to be beneficial for humanity and the planet. Some are, some aren’t.

Aside from the feel-good New Age messages about spiritual enlightenment, it’s very common for consciousness advocates to portray American capitalism as a very bad thing, as if they really want to destroy the American system. This is troubling, because contrary to extreme left political ideology, small businesses (defined as fewer than 500 employees) drive the economy, creating approximately 70% of the jobs.

That’s free enterprise, free trade among honorable American citizens, and it’s very unfortunate that the consciousness radicals, instead of focusing on the real problem, big government and big corporation collusion, and crony corporatism, these jokers target the American free enterprise system as a whole, the very thing that has made America and much of the rest of the world prosper.

Take away the economic growth engine of capitalism, and you won’t have time to concern yourself with consciousness, because your days will be consumed with trying to meet your basic survival needs.

Don’t believe us? Go live in North Korea for a while and experience firsthand a communist country. We doubt you’ll be jumping on the “let’s hate America and the capitalist system” bandwagon after that trip.

It’s reminiscent of the 1960s radicals who raged against the American system, but never offered any viable solutions, though the dark side of this movement is much more covert and underhanded.

A consciousness red flag would be something like this: “(A political candidate) has more compassion for all living beings than (the other political candidate), so you must vote for him.”

You won’t ever get a real sense about a candidate’s level of compassion from what they read from the teleprompter, and your interpretation of their intent behind their policies is likely subjective. This is where critical, objective analysis is so important. Sadly, the majority of people are not interested in or simply not capable of it.

How to Navigate the Consciousness Trap

The true meaning of consciousness is self-awareness through identifying and rising above fear-based attachments, including all bias and intolerance. In doing so, you see the world as it really is, and you’ll more likely perceive the truth and lies about each individual political issue.

Daily meditation helps a lot in achieving a clearer state of awareness, especially for those who struggle with impartiality and a reasonable sense of discernment.

Watch for These Types of Bogus Phrases to Help You Identify Phony Consciousness Initiatives

1. You must forgo your individuality for global unity (a “One World Government” slogan).

2. There has never been a better time to open up to universal consciousness.

3. We are moving from duality consciousness to unity consciousness and those who refuse to make the leap with us will be left behind. Stepping through the gateway with us will activate your higher purpose.

4. Once unity consciousness is achieved peace and prosperity will reign forever.

5. You will be able to elevate your spiritual vibration, shed your karma, and ascend beyond the polarity of this dimension (not unless you’re Buddha or Jesus, or otherwise have earned avatar status!).

The future of humanity is not at risk, there are no critical crossroads, and if you follow the advice above, you’ll never get caught in the consciousness trap again.

Stress can be divided into two broad categories, acute and chronic.

The acute can be isolated or it can recurrent and episodic. If acute, it can actually be good. It can provide you with that little push to meet a challenge. The thrill you experience on a roller coaster, the euphoria of a game winning basket, and many other positive feelings can be a result of stress. Needless to say, that stress we don’t want to eliminate or change.

Acute episodic stress is a recurring stress. It is the summation of a lot of acute episodes. Unlike the isolated acute stress, you usually have a role in this type of stress. Never seeming to accomplish what you set out to do, always being late, and a myriad of other stressors are a result. Often times, just a little organization can help in this situation. Having a plan and sticking to it is helpful. Having a list is an easy place to start. Write down everything you must do, prioritize the items, and allot time for the each task makes them manageable.

Chronic stress is long-term and seems never ending. Often times it is the result of environmental factors that we can’t control. It may be related to your own or a family members health, financial problems, or a job you hate but can’t afford to quit. In these situations you need to develop coping skills. There are actually an endless number of options available to you. It might be meditation, yoga or some other form of exercise, music, or anything else which you enjoy and find relaxing. The key is to find what works for you and then use it on a regular basis.

There are very many methods for achieving improvement to our personal confidence and self esteem, far too many to investigate in depth in a short information file. So on this page, we will have a look at the most popular and, for most people, the most effective.

Self Acceptance

Motivation & Goal Setting

Self hypnosis

Coaching/therapy

Self Acceptance

Self acceptance is one of the most important aspects of personal confidence and also for self esteem. The trick is to work out what you can change and set about doing so – and this page has a good few hints how you can go about that – and accept that which you cannot change.

We all have aspects of our personality and ‘way of being’ that we feel uncomfortable about; maybe we see ourselves as selfish, dim on occasions, over-emotional, under-responsive, or any one of a whole variety of pretty standard human behaviour patterns. The trouble is that when anybody mentions any of those things, our personal confidence is dented and self esteem sags. Yet accept those things as just part of what goes to make the whole of you and that overall, you are no worse and no better than the next human being and you can start to enjoy being you and all that being you means.

For example…

A child’s school reports consistently commented on his talkativeness:”Billy is very intelligent,” the teacher would say, “But he’s a chatterbox – he never stops talking.”. His parents laughed and showed others who also laughed. The child didn’t understand why talking was such a bad thing though nonetheless tried to do less of it… but all that happened was that his fascination and enthusiasm for some new discovery would suddenly burst out of him in a torrent of excited chatter. One day, when he was a young adult, somebody said: “My God, do you never stop talking?” That hit hard at the sore spot that had been created over the years and he suddenly started to stutter.

Then people laughed even more. Social gatherings, parties, dinners, holidays, even family get-togethers all quickly became no-go areas. He became introverted and timid and eventually found himself with a therapist, recounting those early experiences of people laughing because he was a ‘chatterbox’.

“Tell me again about that teacher,” the therapist said.

“She said I never stopped talking,” Billy replied.

“That’s funny,” the therapist said. “I though you told me she said you were intelligent.”

“I don’t think I noticed that bit…” Billy said wonderingly.

The Ugly Duckling

From that moment on, it was like the Ugly Duckling story all over again. There was an almost instant acceptance that he was a natural talker, a communicator of ideas and concepts. Time passed. Billy talked A LOT and if anybody said anything at all about it, he would simply smile and agree with them. “I’ve always been talkative,” he would say, “Thank goodness. I love to share all my ideas.” No comments could hit any target now and there was no longer a sore spot; he knew that his talkativeness was a measure of his intelligence and his entire joy of living.

Acceptance is a wonderful thing. Accept the way you are and embrace it – warts and all – and you will become instantly more comfortable with yourself and others. When you accept those facets of self which you thought were negative, no matter what they are, nobody can push your buttons any more because you won’t be trying to hide them. More importantly, perhaps, you will discover that many others actually like those facets of self that you tried so hard to conceal!

Motivation

One of the prime necessities to achieve good motivation in life or career is to have a clear goal – if you don’t have, then it’s extremely unlikely that you will achieve much. Yet set a goal and set it well, know exactly why you want it and how your life will improve when you get it and you’re almost home and dry!

When setting your goals, it is important that you recognise the four rules that apply to any goal, if you are to have any chance of getting what you want:

– The goal must be plausible, possible and realistic

– It must be suitable for your personality type

– You must have a clear idea of what you are seeking

– Positive orientation

Plausible and Realistic

Anything that can be done, you can do. Anything that could never be done, you will not achieve, either. We are not conducting magic but simply using natural resources to achieve natural goals. If you are 65 years old, for instance, you will not become an Olympic standard athlete. It simply is not realistic. If you have only one leg, you cannot attempt to climb Mount Everest for exactly the same reason.

Suitable for Your Personality

For a goal to have a chance of success it should reflect your natural personality; always select a goal that you feel would not surprise others – although they may well be surprised at how easily you achieve it!

A Clear Idea

You have to know EXACTLY what it is that you want. It sounds obvious but an awful lot of people simply have never worked it out! Somebody might say: “I want to make something of myself.” Well, good… but make what exactly? The subconscious – and that is the part of you which will achieve success or otherwise – only works with uncomplicated and positive statements with no ambiguity or implication. After all, if you made a failure of yourself, that would comply with the above goal, wouldn’t it? ‘Make a success’ is not much better, either. One person’s success simply doesn’t ‘work’ for another. “I want to have my own business selling music CDs on the internet,” is a clear goal. So is: “I want to make xxxxxxxx money a year from my music website,” as long as you state a figure that you know can be achieved. Make your goal specific and you have a far higher chance of success.

Self hypnosis

There are very many methods of improving self worth and confidence. The most important thing to recognise, probably, is that precisely nothing will happen if you don’t put some input into the plan. You can read the best self help books in the world and nothing will happen unless you have an action plan. You can listen to self help and personal development CDs until you know them off by heart, but the result will be a big fat nothing if that is all you do.

If you want to get anywhere, you have to accept that it is YOU who must make the change – nobody, absolutely nobody, can do it for you. Nothing changes if nothing changes…

Self hypnosis can be remarkably effective for the reduction of stress and improvement in life generally. It is a specific skill and one which can easily be learned via one of the many books on the subject or via one of the many free self hypnosis courses available on the internet.

Though some people are wary of hypnosis and self hypnosis until they discover more about it, it’s used on a daily basis by sportsmen and musicians, business people and artists, housewives, policemen, engineers, shop assistants… in fact it’s used by millions of people from all walks of life all over the globe!

Let’s dispel a few of the anxieties that some visitors might have… the following ‘rules’ are applicable to all types of hypnosis:

– You cannot ‘get stuck’ – this is quite impossible

– You do not become unconscious or go to sleep

– You know what’s happening at all times

– You can exit the state whenever you wish to

– You cannot ‘lose your mind’

– It is not connected in any shape or form with the occult

– There is no such thing as a ‘hypnotised feeling’

– It is actually a totally natural state which we all go into several times a day

– It is very similar to meditation or relaxation techniques

– IT IS COMPLETELY SAFE!

Getting into a state of self-hypnosis is a specific skill and as with all skills, some people are better at it than others. It is fair to say, though, that almost everybody can benefit from learning how to use it. Among other things, you can help yourself to:

– Combat Stress – use it with the routines above for a real power session!

– Lose weight

– Quit smoking

– Improve sporting and other performance

– Increase concentration and recall

– Improve confidence and self-confidence

– Work effectively with motivation issues

As mentioned earlier, there are very many books on the subject of self hypnosis as well as free courses – but do be sure to get one that is written by a professional in the field.

Motivational therapy, and personal confidence

Finally, an excellent way of developing your life in the way you want it is to visit a motivational coach, hypnotherapist or NLP practitioner. Huge numbers of sporting personalities, stars of stage and screen, wildly successful business leaders and ‘executive climbers’, amongst others, have achieved their success via this route. Hypnotherapy and/or NLP can provide somewhat faster and more long-lasting results than coaching and often with fewer sessions.

If you decide to investigate this route, your local Yellow Pages is a good starting point; initial consultations are often at no charge, though you should make clear exactly why you are consulting.

If you’ve tried using the Law of Attraction and have failed to manifest what you want, then rest assured that you are not alone. Many thousands of people have given up far too quickly once they’ve decided that it doesn’t work for them.

But why doesn’t it work for them? And why doesn’t it work for you?

The truth of the matter is, you are using the Law of Attraction in every single moment. Are you consciously choosing thoughts in order to manipulate future events and circumstances? Or are you of the opinion that the thoughts in your mind are random and cannot be controlled?

It takes work, it takes persistence and it takes real determination to change your habitual thoughts. It is not impossible and it is something that every single person can do regardless of your education and upbringing.

In my opinion, there are three killer reasons why people tend to “fail” at using the Law of Attraction:

They used thoughts instead of emotions – It is not your thoughts that have the attraction power, it is your emotions. The universe does not hear your words nor does it see your pictures, but it does respond to your vibration. Emotions are what emit vibrations. After watching movies like “The Secret” some people misinterpreted the message and felt that if they thought about something for long enough then it would manifest.

This would be the case if they mixed their thoughts with emotion and become emotionally involved with their desire.

Time for an example: When I was younger, I was terrified of spiders – every time I saw one my heart would beat faster and I would feel the feelings of being scared and afraid. Looking back at the situation now, I can clearly see how I kept on attracting spiders into my life! I was putting great amounts of emotion into something that I didn’t want causing them to come into my life experience very frequently. Since switching my thoughts and not giving them any attention, I very rarely see them.

They don’t want their desire enough – There are those people who do understand what they have to do, but they are unable to focus enough time and attention onto their desires. Why? Because they don’t care about it enough! You may hear someone say “I want a million dollars” but when you ask that person why they want a million dollars they can only give you a few answers… “So I won’t ever have to worry again,” or “So I can buy a big home”. These reasons are perfectly fine, but they haven’t given the whole scenario enough thought – what exactly are they going to spend the money on? By working out the details you become more emotionally attached and invoke more emotional energy.

Took score too soon – Every time you say “Where’s my stuff?” what message do you think you’re putting out to the universe? Not one of having or expectation that’s for sure! Do whatever you need to do to prevent yourself from taking score and seeing all of your “stuff”. You need to be so confident that you will achieve your desire that you expect it to come to you. There is no taking score required ever! From this day forward make the firm decision that you will never take score of your current situation… that type of thinking is simply living in the past and it does not serve you.

So what can you do immediately to start brining your desires home?

Find a private area that you can spend 20-30 minutes alone every day without being disturbed and use that time to simply relax. Do not play any music, or watch any television, focus solely on yourself and quiet your mind. Make sure you close your eyes and start to visualize your desires as if they’re already here.

Imagine that it has happened right now, and feel what you would feel had it happened. The more excited and worked up you can get, the better.

I find it best to focus on a maximum of 3 desires at a time. Spend the first 10 minutes focusing entirely on that first desire. Don’t drift away from the thoughts, stay with it. Keep living it, and milk the feelings out of every thought you can conjure! What you will find is that the longer you focus your attention on your desire, the more ideas and emotions you will invoke.

The Law of Attraction works with your thoughts as well you know! In as little as 17 seconds, a like minded thought is being hurled into your mind. So focusing just a little bit of time can yield you some fantastic thoughts and ideas.

Once you’ve completed this daily routine, go on with your normal life and do not give anything negative any of your attention, the more positive you remain the quicker your manifestations will occur. But remember … DO NOT TAKE SCORE.

Hormonal imbalances are normally due to a variety of problems, but mostly it is due to a stress response, therefore lifestyle changes and balancing your hormones will get your system right.

Lifestyle is a major factor in keeping your hormones balanced

Hormones are steroids that are secreted into your blood stream affecting your body’s metabolism, the regulation of fluids and also you’re sexual and reproductive function, it also helps facilitate your body’s responses to stress.

When your hormones are balanced you have energy, you sleep well, and you have a strong sex drive, and your immune and digestive system work well.

If your hormones are unbalanced it can lead to adrenal fatigue, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism and polycyctic ovary syndrome. Your hormones can be unbalanced without any real disorder, when they are unbalanced too long then they can lead to a disorder so it’s also important it get them checked and balanced before major issues arise. Hormonal imbalances can start as young as at birth or during adolescents, menopausal problems occur because of an already unbalanced hormonal system. Menopause is meant to be symptom less, if you are heading that way get your hormones checked by a natural therapist such as a nutritionist.

How is your lifestyle affecting your hormones and what can you do about it?

Females hormone imbalance is due to stress responses, the more stress the bigger the stain on your hormonal system, and the more it unbalances your cortisol levels. Cortisol is used for your body to convert food to energy, normalises your blood sugar levels, helps with your immune system’s inflammatory response and responds to stress.

What causes your hormonal system to become unbalanced?

Emotional stress
Dietary stress
Pain and/ inflammatory stress

Types of stress include:

Too much work
Job loss
Financial trouble
Relationship or family problems
Eating processed foods, too much junk food
Inflammation form toxins in your environment
Depletion of antioxidants

The underlying issues need to be dealt with in order to have a balanced hormonal system. This also needs to be a whole body approach where lifestyle choices and too much stress have created the imbalance in the first place, these underlying issues need to be addressed.

These changes include:

Strategies to reduce stress- this can range from meditation, relaxation music

So first start to address your hormone problems by making lifestyle changes, including:

Have powerful tools and strategies to address the current and past emotional traumas in your life. Prayer, meditation and meridian tapping techniques (MTT)can be very helpful here.
Listen to your body and rest when you feel tired (this includes during the day by taking short naps or just laying down, or sleeping in if you feel like it)
Exercise regularly using a comprehensive program of strength, aerobic, core, and interval training
Eat a healthy nutrient-dense diet like the one described in my nutrition plan, according to your Nutritional Type

Then, only after changing your lifestyle and addressing your adrenal function, should you evaluate and balance your female hormones.

At this point you may want to see a physician well versed in bio identical hormone replacement, and get tested to see if you could benefit from the use of DHEA. DHEA is a natural steroid and precursor hormone produced by the adrenals, and levels are often very low in people with adrenal fatigue and other hormone problems.

Keep in mind, of course, that DHEA is not a quick cure, and should not be used as a sole treatment.

Because your hormonal health is so important to your overall health and well-being, I highly recommend you work with a knowledgeable natural health care practitioner to help you rebalance your system.
