Are you tired of falling prey to the news about the terrible state of our economy? Perhaps you are feeling anxious, overwhelmed or just plain stuck because of what is going on now.

Having come from a place of poverty as a child to living comfortably now, I have learned some very important principles and methods to create wealth no matter what is going on in the world around us. The following article is about getting your energy in the right place in order to create your business action plan.

The first principle is that everything in the universe is energy, everything around us and in our bodies is energy.

To understand energy, just shake both your hands for 15 seconds. Now notice what you feel. You may notice your hands feel warm and tingly. That is energy moving within you.

We are energy from head to toes and we need our energy system open to manifest our greatest potential. Whenever we have blocks from negative beliefs or past traumas we took on falsely from our family or society, it causes a dam or disruption in our energy system. Eventually this leads to foggy thinking, poor choices, and physical consequences like headaches, stomach aches, or more serious diseases from these stressors.

The Law of Attraction states that whatever you truly believe at the subconscious level will materialize as your physical reality. The Universe functions as a giant mirror, reflecting back to you an exact match of your true beliefs, values and rules, which the Universe uses in creating your experiences.

When something vibrates at a certain frequency, it naturally resonates with – and ATTRACTS -situations and people with the same frequency. This is how your unconscious beliefs attract your experiences, and thus creates your reality.

Consequently, the emotional energy you are in when you ask for something from the Universe is the energy in which it comes to you. If you believe you will never manifest your full potential, or have abundance, YOU WILL ATTRACT the evidence to prove you’re right.

The Biggest Secret is that you can change your energy vibration from negative to positive, as well as increase your positive energy to an even greater level.

Ways to Increase Your Energy Vibration

1. The first thing I do with clients is teach them to call in the Source (God, Universe, Light) and their Inner Guides, whether they fashion them as a Higher Self, Angels, Prosperity Guides, or whatever name brings them comfort. I have found that you must clearly state what you want in order to receive it. So begin by asking for assistance in creating money, a job, a healthy loving relationship, etc.

2. The next step is to transform the emotional state from where you are now to the energetic vibrational state of your goal when it is already accomplished. This correlates to visualizing, seeing the images, feeling the emotions in your body of having what you desire, hearing the sounds that go with the picture and even notice the fragrance in the air. Use all your senses, especially the ones that work best for you. Here you are actually aligning your energy with your vision and dreams, in order to create a new reality.

3. To do this fully requires that you recognize and overcome your fears, as well as eliminate emotional obstacles that have kept you from achieving your goals in the past. This is done easily with Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), hypnosis, EMDR, and Reichian.

4. Next is one of the most important steps – to open to Love, activate the heart energy and your Spiritual connection. Remember Love is an energy in your heart, not what you think in your head. Heal your heart wounds and connect to the Universal heart and flow of energy and love. We have all been wounded in some way, but when you are willing to risk and know Love, you open yourself to the abundance of the Universe. Focus on serving humanity, life, or your clients in some way. Somehow this creates magic.

5. Be grateful for all the positive changes in your life. Acknowledge all your successes and the way the Universe stepped in to help you. The more you appreciate what you have, the more you are in alignment with the source, and the more the Universe can give you. This is how we create Heart Wealth.

The rest of these suggestions are for you to continue opening your energy system.

– Choose activities that increase relaxation, inspiration, optimism and joy.
– Listen to your favorite uplifting music.
– Nature brings you closer to Spirit. Be in nature and swim, walk, hike – whatever you love doing.
– Do slow and gentle breathing meditations.

In closing, if we change our vibration, we can instantaneously shift our consciousness and create a new version of “reality,” just like that. For most of us to significantly change our vibration, we have to take baby steps. Commend yourself on your steps to creating heart wealth.

When designing the perfect meditation room for your own personal use, one must keep in mind that the overall theme will be that of peace and serenity. These two words, though they have the same literal definition, have a decidedly different meaning for everyone. The perfect meditation room for one individual will likely seem slightly flawed to another. To be more precise, one person’s idea of serenity may not be another’s. One person may connect serenity and peace to sitting on a deserted beach, while another would consider it to be at the heart of a forest at sunset with the sound of hundreds of Crickets chirping. In reference to the perfect peaceful setting, no two individuals are alike.

The first thing to take into consideration is your space. Of course, you will want your Yoga mat to be in the very center of the room. Other than a small table in all four corners of the room (against the walls), you will want no other pieces of furniture present. This is to give you the impression of free space, without being boxed in or crowding. A tight space or cluttered room is anything but relaxing.

As for the four small tables, these are for two separate things. Two tables in opposite corners will be for incense. When choosing the incense, be picky. Every scent is not for everyone. Some will prefer stronger smelling incense while others will go for a smoother, creamier scent. There are literally thousands of scents to choose from.

One of the final two tables will be for your CD player. Now this is not just for any music, but purposefully present for the sole reason of playing CD’s of nature sounds. Again, the sounds will likely vary from person to person, and there are many to choose from. Many people seem to prefer the sounds of waves crashing on the beach while others find peace in the wind whistling through the trees.

The final table is for a lamp. Your lamp needs to be one that has adjustable lighting, where you can brighten or dim it to your own personal preference. However, if you prefer, you can strategically place candles all around the room, scented or unscented.

The overall design here is to create, through your senses, the perfect real world setting to emulate your ideal mental environment. If, for example, the most peaceful moment of your life were spent sitting on a lakeshore at dusk, then your room would need sounds of frog, minimal lighting, an outdoorsy cedar scent, and maybe a breeze. The breeze could be achieved with a small fan.

You see, with the right equipment, the perfect furnishings, you can close your eyes, develop the mental picture of that moment in time, and actually achieve the complete sensation of being there.

Take your time with your meditation room. Make sure that everything is as it should be. If done right, you will find this to be your haven from the world.

Sleeping is very important to reinstall back our energy and rebalance our body. Sometimes we are not able to sleep well or known as insomnia. I was once like that, but now I found the 10 Tips that help me to sleep well every night.

1. Go to sleep when you are sleepy, and maintain go to bed at consistent times and get up at consistent times.

The disorder sleep will cause drained, difficulties in concentrating, feeling depression or frustration, and anxiety. For adult the general guideline should sleep between 6 to 8 hours per day. You should go to bed by 10pm and not later than 12am. When you maintain regular sleep hour, you will fall asleep easier, and your body will automatic wake at the regular hour.

2. Shift your clock or watch from your side when you are in bed.

Do not put your clock or watch that you can see it while you are in bed, because it will bring your unconscious feel stress up when you are not able to sleep. You maybe counting how many hours to go before to wake up, or perhaps you may think why I couldn’t sleep and the time is so late.

3. Avoid taking drinks which contains caffeine such as coffee, tea, soft drinks and energy drink at least six hours before go to bed.
Caffeine has effect to bring alertness, which allows the brain not to relax and keep you awake.

4. Instead of drinking alcohols, you should drink some milk before go to bed.
Alcohols may help you fall sleep, but it will affect your quality of sleep and you probably wake up later.

5. Sleep on a comfortable bed and pillow.
Sometime people focus on to buy expensive mattress but forget about your pillow, pillow is equally important for a good sleep. Use white or soft color bed sheets, which allow calm and relax feeling that allow a better sleeping pattern.

6. Your bedroom wall should paint with white or soft color, and keep the temperature not too cold or too warm, cause the human body temperature will down when we are sleeping. As the air conditioner too cold will make you shivering and waken, you may use socks to keep your leg warm.

7. Write your journal before you go to sleep.
This will help loosen your mind about what happen during the day, which can help you more relax and easier to get sleep.

8. Avoid eat too much before go to bed or feel hungry. Eating too much will fill-up you stomach, that will cause you uncomfortable and not allow you to sleep peacefully at night.

9. Do slight exercises to burn some calories in your body. When the body burning the calories you will get tired, thus will bring you to good sleep.

10. Last secret is to listen to a “Lullaby”, it works for baby and it works for adult too. You can change an instrumental music that used for meditation/yoga, or slow rock music; this will bring you mind to relax.

I hope those tips will help you to sleep well, sleep soundly like baby.

You, like your brain is full of potential. We should not underestimate ourselves, and our brain.

Yes, we live in a dog-eat-dog society, everything is going so fast and we are bombarded by so many elements around us. Our brains are able to store and access incredible loads of information. Thus, we tend to worry more and enjoy less. Most of the time, we are too tired to relax our mind and have a good sleep!

Sleep is important to over-all health and well-being. When people get less than 6 or 7 hours of sleep each night, their risk for developing diseases begins to increase. Sleep reduces stress. A good night’s sleep makes you feel energized and alert the next day. More importantly sleep bolsters our memory.

Memory consolidation occurs during sleep. While your body may be resting, your brain is busy processing your day, making connections between events, sensory input, feelings and memories. Your dreams and deep sleep are an important time for your brain to make memories and links. Getting more quality sleep will help you remember and process things better.

So, how do we achieve a good night sleep? Good sleep can be attained by the following:
o Listening to relaxation music
o Avoiding before-bed snacks
o Getting to bed early as possible
o Taking a hot bath or shower

Stress contributes to memory decline. Another stress-reducer which I recently started practicing is Yoga. Yoga is a great stress reducer. A few stretches each day is enough to release your physical tension and trigger endorphins to make you feel better. Efficient use of the body cues movement in the brain. Yoga styles use specific meditation techniques to quiet the mind.

Truly, the body and brain are partners! And, Yoga offers this mind-body connection. As you match your controlled breathing with the movements of your body, you retrain your mind to find that place of calm and peace. It also promotes improved circulation to the brain as well.

Let us not underrate ourselves. We have an unlimited capacity to learn. Unlike computers, our brain will never say: “Hard drive full.” A good sleep and yoga regimen will unleash your mind’s potential!

Transient elevations in systolic blood pressure occur as normal adaptations during fever, physical exertion, and emotional upset, such as during anger and fear. Persistent hypertension, or high blood pressure, is common in obese people because the total length of their blood vessels is relatively greater than that in thinner individuals.
Although hypertension is usually asymptomatic for the first 10 to 20 years, it slowly but surely strains the heart and damages the arteries. For this reason, hypertension is often called the “silent killer”. Prolonged hypertension accelerates arteriosclerosis and is the major cause of heart failure, vascular disease, renal failure, and stroke. Because the heart is forced to pump against greater resistance, it must work harder, and in time the myocardium enlarges. When finally strained beyond its capacity to respond, the heart weakens and its walls become flabby. Advanced warning signs include headache, sweating, rapid pulse, shortness of breath, dizziness, and vision disturbances.

Hypertension also ravages blood vessels, causing small tears in the endothelium and increasing the demand for energy in countering the excessive mechanical load on the arterial vessels – this accelerates the progress of atherosclerosis. Furthermore, a stretched muscle cell accumulates more lipid than a relaxed muscle, further enhancing this metabolic and morphological change in cells and tissues. As the vessels become increasingly blocked, blood flow to the tissues becomes inadequate, and vascular complications begin to appear in vessels of the brain, heart, kidneys, and retinas of the eyes.

Systolic or pumping pressure, the higher of the two is normally around 120 in a healthy adult and the lower diastolic about 70, normally expressed as 120/70. 130/80 is average for a 40 yr old NZ male, 117/75 for a 40 yr old female. Hypertension is defined physiologically as a condition of sustained elevated arterial pressure of 140/90 or higher (which is dangerously high), and the higher the blood pressure, the greater the risk for serious cardiovascular problems. As a rule, elevated diastolic pressures are more significant medically, because they always indicate progressive occlusion and/or hardening of the arterial tree.

About 90% of hypertensive people have primary, or essential, hypertension, in which no underlying cause has been identified by their doctor. The following factors are believed to be involved:

1. Diet. Dietary factors that contribute to hypertension include excessive use of table salt, saturated fat, and cholesterol intake and deficiencies in certain metal ions (Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium).
2. Obesity.
3. Age. Clinical signs of the disease usually appear after age 40.
4. Race. More blacks than whites are hypertensive, and the course of the disease also varies in different population groups.
5. Heredity. Hypertension runs in families. Children of hypertensive parents are twice as likely to develop hypertension as are children of normotensive parents.
6. Stress. Particularly at risk are “hot reactors”, people whose blood pressure zooms upward during every stressful event.
7. Smoking. Nicotine enhances the sympathetic nervous system’s vasoconstrictor effects.

According to allopathy primary hypertension cannot be cured, but most cases can be controlled by restricting salt, fat, and cholesterol intake, losing weight, stopping smoking, managing stress, and taking antihypertensive drugs. Drugs commonly used are diuretics, beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, and ACE inhibitors (drugs that inhibit the renin-angiotensin mechanism by inhibiting angiotensin-converting enzyme).

Secondary hypertension, which accounts for 10% of cases, is due to identifiable disorders, such as excessive renin secretin by the kidneys, arteriosclerosis, and endocrine disorders such as hyperthyroidism and Cushing’s disease. Treatment for secondary hypertension is directed toward correcting the causative problem.

20% of New Zealanders suffer from high blood pressure. Men over 35 and women over 45 should have their blood pressure checked every few years. Blood pressure results can be influenced up to 50% by temporary factors such as mood, and what one has eaten and drunk. For a correct reading take blood pressure 4-5 hours after food and never when stressed, upset or emotional. Apparently, a reading may also be altered when the kidneys are acting as the primary filtering system as opposed to the liver. If you have high blood pressure, regular monitoring is essential.

Contributing factors include high sodium intake, food sensitivities, stress, toxic chemical exposure, caffeine consumption, use of recreational drugs, cadmium and lead toxicity, smoking, and a low fibre intake.

Eliminate all junk food, alcohol, tea, coffee, sugar (can cause high blood pressure, especially if the person is lacking in Chromium), food coloring and preserved foods. MSG, baking soda, canned vegetables, commercially prepared foods, over-the-counter medications that contain ibuprofen, diet soft drinks, foods with mold inhibitors, preservatives and most sugar substitutes, meat tenderizers, softened water, and soy sauce need to be avoided. These products can cause the cells to swell and interfere with the effectiveness of diuretics in the treatment of hypertension. Increase the consumption of Potassium containing foods e.g. green vegetables, whole grains, dried fruit, bananas, grapes, peaches, plums, pumpkin, squash, potatoes, beets, brewer’s yeast, zucchini, legumes, sprouts, seeds and vegetable juices.

Arginine is a powerful stimulator of nitric oxide (NO). NO is required for the smooth muscle of the blood vessels to relax. The stress release of adrenalin raises blood pressure. Tryptophan can modify this stress response. The amino acid Histidine can also blunt the effect of adrenalin on the vascular system.

Subnormal activity of the Sodium/Potassium pump appears to be a common feature of primary hypertension and is stimulated by insulin, thyroid hormone, Taurine and Potassium. Magnesium and Quercetin also help maintain cellular electrolyte imbalance.

Lowering blood pressure is important, however elevated insulin, glucose and lipid levels must also be addressed. Lecithin granules in the diet will assist with lipid management and Cholesterol Balance by Radiance is helpful in balancing cholesterol levels. Chromium will help moderate blood sugar levels. Taurine and Methionine levels are low in hypertensive patients. Taurine lowers BP in its own right through aldosterone regulation (suppresses renin-angiotensin feedback) and facilitates the metabolism of Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium and Selenium. It also lowers heavy metal concentration. Taurine (2 g/day) should be given.

Vitamin C and Bioflavonoids strengthens blood vessel walls at 1000mg 3 times daily. Also just 1000 mg a day lowers LDL’s by 10% and blood lipids by 40%, lowering blood pressure. Niacin, Betaine hydrochloride, Vitamin E (200 IU) and Fish oils reduce blood viscosity and hence blood pressure. Taurine, Coenzyme Q10, and Lipoic acid supplementation results in a significant drop in blood pressure. Many studies have demonstrated the ability of Coenzyme Q10 to reduce blood pressure in hypertension patients. Coenzyme Q10 lowers blood pressure when taken over a long period of time. Therapeutic dosage is 60mg 3 times daily. Vitamin D supplementation in women significantly drops blood pressure. Copper supplementation may lower blood cholesterol. Increase Vitamin B6 intake. Vitamin B6 inhibits platelet aggregation and relieves edema. Too little Manganese, and Vitamin B3, has been linked to high blood pressure also.

Fish oils lower serum lipids. Therefore fish intake should be increased to at least 4 times a week. Otherwise a GLA/EFA should be used on salads etc. Fish oils depress the vascular response to agents that promote contraction. Increase calcium intake to 1000 mg/day (500mg twice daily). Calcium is a natural tranquilizer which may explain its role in lowering blood pressure. In one study of 4000 hypertensive patients, 85% dropped their blood pressure to safe levels by doubling their Calcium intake. Use calcium citrate, aspartate and orotate. Studies have shown Magnesium deficiency to be endemic to western society. Reversible hypertension is a clinical finding in hypomagnesemia and magnesium depletion; 50% of magnesium-depleted patients are hypertensive and their blood pressure returns to normal with supplementation. Magnesium regulates muscle tension through a combination of muscle physiology and neurophysiology, correcting excessive excitation, inflammation and energetic dysfunction due to insulin resistance. Magnesium lowers blood pressure, as it is a vasodilator – arterial vasospasm is a major contributor to hypertension and sudden heart attacks. It also acts as a calcium channel regulator. It normalizes heart rhythm, and reduces plasma triglycerides and lipid precipitation on blood vessel walls. Take 500 mg twice daily.

Use a high Potassium salt substitute or Celtic sea salt. A Californian biochemist, Dr Jacques de Langre, has spent 35 years researching the health benefits of sea salt. He claims that a low-salt diet for the treatment of high blood pressure is based on dogma, not evidence and a salt-restrictive diet can actually raise blood pressure. He believes refined table salt is a toxin to the body, yet unrefined Celtic sea salt is extremely healthy and may actually lower blood pressure. Potassium supplementation would be 300-600 mg daily. Excess salt itself does not normally raise blood pressure if Potassium and Calcium intake is increased also, or surprisingly, if non-chloride forms of Sodium are used. Excess Sodium is eventually expelled from our bodies, but can take valuable Potassium and Calcium along with it, often resulting in a Potassium or Calcium deficiency, both of which are major causes of high blood pressure. Potassium excretion is also increased by excess sugar, and tea, coffee and alcohol.

Insulin resistance is a major contributor to cardiovascular illness. Check for hypothyroidism. If present supplement with Selenium, Tyrosine, Iodine, Copper and Zinc.

The herb Cayenne along with Garlic will lower blood pressure. Garlic improves circulation as well as reducing cholesterol and fats in the blood. Take 4,000 mcg standardized allicin extract 3 times daily. You could use these herbs in cooking also. Hawthorn berries (1.8% vitexinn-4’rhamnoside) help to strengthen the heart muscle by increasing blood flow to the heart, thereby improving heart contractions, and reduces blood pressure by reducing resistance in the arteries. Take 250 mg 3 times daily. Combination Cayenne-Garlic-Hawthorn Formula by Nature’s Way is blended specifically for high blood pressure.

Ginkgo (24% standardized extract) improves circulation throughout the cardiovascular system and has anti-platelet as well as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Dandelion leaf acts as a mild diuretic so that excess fluids are excreted. Take 1 125mg capsule or 30 drops 3 times daily. Other useful herbs that have a diuretic action include Uva Ursi, Juniper berry, Cranberry and Parsley. Motherwort, Lime Blossom, Valerian, Skullcap, Lemon Balm, Kava, and Chamomile are useful herbs to add to a hypertensive prescription as they work on the nervous system to calm and soothe. Suma herb tea, 3 cups daily, has been reported to be beneficial for high blood pressure.

Reishi increases coronary blood flow. Asian clinical studies have shown it to be effective as a calmative in anxiety and hypertension, and for reducing blood pressure. Dosage is 3000 mg 3 times daily. Du Zhong is a herb from Traditional Chinese Medicine used for dizziness and light-headedness due to hypertension from “rising liver yang”.

A bowel cleanse or general detoxification program may help relieve some work from the body and may have a beneficial effect on high blood pressure. Papaya aids digestion. Alfalfa is an excellent herb to alkalinise the blood. Flaxseed oil contains essential fatty acids which help in lowering blood pressure. Take 2 tablespoons daily.

Heavy metals can cause cardiovascular problems. Increase excretion of Cadmium and Lead by supplementing with Zinc, Selenium, Calcium and Vitamin C. A hair analysis will show specifically any heavy metal toxicity and specific chelation therapy can then be used to eliminate them. Follow detoxification procedure if exposed to pesticides.

Stress management is an important part of dealing with high blood pressure. Studies on Transcendental Meditation (T.M.) at Harvard Medical School in the mid-seventies showed it to lower oxygen consumption, increase blood flow, and slow heart rate, leading to a deep relaxation. Researchers also found TM to lower levels of blood lactate, which is associated with anxiety, and to decrease blood pressure in people with hypertension. Some form of meditation, or other relaxation techniques i.e. massage, listening to relaxing music or gentle exercise, performed on a regular basis, will go a long way in assisting the reduction of blood pressure. Counselling, mental imagery, and biofeedback may also be useful. Other benefits will also be felt, like a general feeling of calm and an increased ability to deal with stressful situations.

In handling the stresses of life, people can usually be divided into two basic types – Confronters and Avoiders. Confronters face up to life’s problems while Avoiders ignore them hoping they will go away. In an experiment on anxiety induced high blood pressure, a large group of volunteers were given periodic sharp electric shocks at timed intervals. The Confronters in the group watched the clock, braced for the shock, then relaxed again. The Avoiders did not watch the clock, not wanting to know when the shock was coming. As a result, due to their constant tension, the Avoider’s blood pressure was continually an average of 30% higher than the Confronters, all of whose blood pressure remained normal.

Exercise is crucial in the treatment of hypertension. Aerobic exercise will benefit the cardiovascular system and it must be done on a regular basis. If you haven’t exercised before, or are very much out of shape, it is advisable to see a qualified health practitioner who can devise a safe program for you to follow. You can overdo it so be careful! Ideally, you want to build up to doing 20-30 minutes, 3 times a week, as a minimum. You want to be exercising so that you maintain your heart rate at 60% of its maximum. To calculate your maximum heart rate, subtract your age from 220. This is your maximum heart rate. To get 60% of your maximum heart rate, multiply the number by 0.6. This is the heart rate you want to aim for and maintain while exercising aerobically.

The Bach Flower remedies may assist with mental and emotional imbalances. Impatiens is useful for those who are agitated, impatient or easily upset. It is said that astrological FIRE signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) are more prone to heart and high blood pressure problems. Acupuncture, Pulsing and Reflexology may also be helpful for high blood pressure.

Side effects of drug treatment:

Diuretics – Increased risk of mortality due to myocardial infarction or sudden death. Diuretics deplete Potassium, Magnesium, Zinc, and B group vitamins. Some diuretics have an adverse effect on serum lipids, blood glucose and raise glyco-hemoglobin concentration.

Beta Blockers – Similar to diuretics, they cause changes in serum lipid fractions. At least 25% of patients treated with beta blockers will develop a need for antidepressants. They also increase the risk of heart failure, cause weight gain, decreases energy, and sexual dysfunction. Long term use of these drugs are contraindicated. Beta blockers may decrease Coenzyme Q10 levels thus reducing energetics of cardiac cells. Coenzyme Q10 levels also fall, therefore, supplementation is required.

Alpha blockers – Alpha blockers can cause hypertension, dry mouth, constipation, sedation, and dizziness. They are not effective for long term treatment of hypertension.

Methyl dopa, Captopril, Propanolol – Up to 50% of patients taking any of the above drugs experience fatigue or lethargy; 30% had some form of sexual disorder and over 10% had sleep disorders, nightmares, headaches, anxiety, irritability, palpitations, nausea, dry mouth and muscle cramps.

Angiotensin 2 inhibitors – These can affect trace element status in the body. Selenium and Zinc are decreased and Copper rises, with this medication.

Nutritional and Herbal support for High Blood Pressure includes:

Heartcare – Heartcare is a standardized (5:1) leaf and flower extract of hawthorn. Produced by Schwabe and Co of Germany backed with 50 years of research, and subject to 80 scientific clinical studies. Improves blood flow and nutrient supply to the heart.

Garlicin HC – Garlicin with Hawthorn, Cayenne, Rutin and Vitamin E. Supports healthy heart and circulation. Assists to normalize blood pressure and to reduce cholesterol.

Magnesium Complex – Necessary for contraction and relaxation of muscles, including the heart muscle. Magnesium is known as the anti-cramping mineral and is helpful for muscle twitches around the eyes, spasms in the muscles of the arms or legs and cramps in bed at night.

Omega 3 Fish Oils – Salmon oil is one of the best sources of omega 3 fatty acids. The 0mega 3 fatty acids, mainly found in certain seafood, have been clearly shown to offer some protection against heart disease. They help reduce abnormal blood clotting, high cholesterol and blood pressure – all factors which contribute to this condition.

Coenzyme Q10 – Improves the heart-muscle metabolism, enhances immunity, acts as an antioxidant. Taking this supplement may help prevent coronary inefficiency and heart failure.

Some interesting points on High Blood Pressure:

Caution: Any individual who has been treated for by-pass surgery or has coronary blockage should not allow the diastolic blood pressure to fall below 85 mm Hg, as it increases the risk of low perfusion injury, i.e., ischaemic damage to heart and brain tissue. Furthermore, medication for hypertension needs to be restricted at night as the average drop in B.P. with sleep is 30-40 mm Hg, which once again, can compromise perfusion pressure in the elderly.

Reduce weight. Decrease salt and sugar intake and increase intake of Potassium and Magnesium rich foods. High intakes of sugar can raise blood pressure and has an additive effect with high salt intakes. Avoid deep fried foods and food additives. Reduce stress, through yoga. Stress can also produce a craving for salt. Avoid smoking. If cheese is eaten, fresh cheese is preferable to aged cheeses. Reduce or avoid all tea, coffee and alcohol. Avoid use of oral contraceptive. It increases the need for Vitamin B6 and increases the risk of stroke. Avoid the herb licorice (in excess of 3g/day of active form) as it can raise blood pressure.

Treat infections such as Chlamydia. Chronic hypertension can be caused by an infection such as Chlamydia pneumonia. Chlamydia is known to cause inflammation in blood vessels which causes high blood pressure and encourages the formation of plaque. Approximately 1/3 of patients with hypertension have antibodies to this bacterium.

Increase the consumption of oats, as they are rich in Silicon and mucopolysaccharides. Garlic, onions and ginger in cooking should be used often. Eaten on a regular basis, celery is helpful as it promotes the excretion of excess fluids and decreases blood pressure. Potassium-rich foods or supplements should be increased to reduce risk of a stroke i.e. vegetables and fruit. Increase fibre consumption in the form of apples, oat bran, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, whole grains, psyllium husks and green leafy vegetables. Fibre helps bind excess cholesterol which in turn reduces blood viscosity and thus blood pressure. Increase aerobic exercise, swimming, walking, cycling. Do not lift heavy weights. Maintain a high fluid intake – drink at least 6-8 glasses of purified water daily. Identify and eliminate food allergies and sensitivities as they can aggravate hypertension.

For purposes of measuring longevity, the lower diastolic or resting pressure is the most important figure. Listed below are the average number of years lost from a man’s life by disorders brought on by high diastolic blood pressure at age 45.

Diastolic Pressure Average years lost at age 45
90 3 years

95 6 years
100 12years

If you are taking MAO inhibitors, which are drugs that are used to counter depression, lower blood pressure, and treat infections and cancer, avoid Tyramine. Combining MAO inhibitors with Tyramine causes the blood pressure to soar and could cause a stroke. Avoid the amino acid Tyrosine also.

People who snore heavily are much more likely to have high blood pressure or angina than silent sleepers. Researchers suggest that snorers may suffer from a slight malfunctioning of the part of the brain responsible for fluent breathing; this can put an unnatural strain on the heart and lungs due to oxygen shortage.

Patients with hypertension often suffer apnea, in which they stop breathing. Apnea, which occurs while sleeping, is associated with loud snoring and restless sleep. It is not unusual for the apnoeic patient to feel excessively sleepy during the day. Evaluation and treatment of apnea can help reduce high blood pressure in these patients.

Anxiety is a hassle to a peaceful life. Here are some ways of keeping clear of it.

Anxiety is brought about by chaotic thoughts. Sometimes you think too much because of the things you have to do. The excessive mental clutter can turn you into a nervous wreck and might make you do and say things that you might regret later. The answer to this problem is to have peace of mind. Here are some tips that can help you rid yourself of all those nervous tension. These tips, as they say, are too simple that they might just work.

Before you rid yourself of mental clutter, get rid of visual clutter first. A clutter free environment is the key to a clutter free mind. Keep your work area clutter free and just have the immediate essentials that you need. Those you do not need, keep them in a drawer or a cabinet out of sight. Have a place for everything and put everything in its place. Organize the things you need to do and list them according to priority. Finish one task at a time so that you won’t be jumping back and forth between tasks.

Keep your home clutter free as well. It is refreshing to come home to a clean house where you don’t have to think of washing dishes or cleaning up dirty clothes. Use the principle “clean as you go” to avoid the piling up of house chores. As simple as washing the dishes after eating or putting up the toilet seat goes a long way. When you go home to a clean house, all you need to do is put on some soothing music and have dinner and watch TV before going to sleep.

Do something relaxing at the end of the day. Jog around the park or have a nice long bath, don’t be guilty for these simple pleasures. You deserve it after a hard days’ work. After doing weekend chores, get a massage or spa treatment. For women, a day at a beauty parlor is therapeutic. You can get the latest gossip while getting your nails or your hair done. This will boost your self esteem when you see how pretty you are.

Aside from keeping yourself look good, it is also important to keep yourself healthy. Always eat a balanced diet and do not skip meals. If you are doing strenuous physical labor, don’t scrimp on your carbohydrates as they are the main source of energy. Eat moderately and don’t binge on alcohol and cigarettes. Avoid things that you know are bad for you like drugs.

Don’t forget your friends and family. They are the roots that you come home to whenever you get wounded and need to lick your wounds. An occasional email or phone call goes a long way to keeping these ties alive.

And lastly, be kind to yourself. You are not perfect and are apt to make mistakes. Don’t beat yourself too much about it. Learn from these mistakes, fix it and don’t repeat them again. But there’s not need to punish yourself forever.

So you are suffering from a lack of sleep possibly insomnia or some sort of sleep disorder and desperate for a natural deep sleep. Setting aside the possibility that there may be some underlying health issues, let us set the perfect scenario for how to have a good sleep.

Simple steps to a better night’s sleep:

It may seem a little odd to discuss better sleep by starting with what you do throughout the day but it all has an effect on how we sleep at night. How quickly we fall asleep, the amount of sleep we get and the quality of that sleep.

Eat healthily throughout the day and try not to over eat at any meal time. Avoid food at least 3 to 4 hours before you go to bed but don’t go to bed hungry. Obviously avoid stimulants such as tea, coffee, alcohol and cigarettes again for 3 to 4 hours before bed.

Have a set time that you go to bed and a set time to get up. Follow this routine and only go to bed to sleep and no TV in the bedroom. Leading up to your bed time start relaxing your mind and body. Try to avoid TV for an hour leading up to going to bed and do something less stimulating such as reading an uncomplicated book.

Taking a relaxing bath with soft background music and herbal bath salts is a great way to relax the body and prepare for sleep. If you find yourself tossing and turning at night try to figure out why? Is it discomfort or is it that you have things on your mind? If it is that you have anxiety and stress learn to overcome those feelings using meditation and self hypnosis.

Listen to hypnosis recordings at night to help you drift off and try progressive muscle relaxation where you flex and relax your muscles individually for m head to toe. Sleeping disorders can occur due to mental or physical problems so try and figure out the cause of your sleep problem and take action to overcome it.

These suggestions are pretty much common sense ways to get a natural deep sleep but in this day and age where there is a pill for everything and people just want a quick fix the common sense approach is often overlooked. Insomnia can become a serious problem and making healthy lifestyle choices and using natural sleep aids is a far more sensible approach for how to have a good sleep.

Brainwave Entrainment Profitable Forex Trading System – 100 Percent Win Rate With Just 10 Pips A Day?

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Introduction

So you’ve had it dealing with confusing trading indicators and trying to make sense of the different news releases and what they all mean. All of a sudden, you’re hit with a brainwave: “If I just take 10 pips out of the market every day, and keep up a 100% win rate, then making money in Forex will be easy!” It all sounds very simple and straightforward in theory, but is such a system actually viable? Unfortunately, it’s not that simple, but by the end of this article, you’ll know how to really make money in Forex.

The Problem With Such A Simple Trading System

It’s a common myth in Forex that you need a high winning percentage to make a lasting Forex trading income. Forex robot marketers are very good at playing on the fantasy of a high winning percentage system, and often advertise 90% or even 95% win rates in their advertising material. The truth is, you don’t need to have a high win rate to make money in Forex in the long run. In fact, the more profitable Forex trading systems tend to have a win rate of just 40-60%.

Another characteristic of profitable Forex trading systems is that they tend to have much bigger wins than losses. That’s how they make up for a lower winning percentage. There’s really no sense in trading for small profits, because you need as much profit as possible to pay for the inevitable losses you’ll encounter. If you limit your profits to 10 pips a day, sooner or later you’ll encounter a 50 pip or even 100 pip losing day, and you’ll wipe out weeks of profits just like that.

How To Really Make Money In Forex

Obviously there’s no such thing as a no loss Forex robot, so forget about 100% wins and 10 pips a day. That’s a formula for failure and disappointment in your trading. If you’re not doing well in your trading, and you lack a proven, profitable Forex trading system to earn a consistent Forex trading income for you, then the best thing to do is to leverage on someone else’s experience in the markets. That means identifying a profitable system through research and due diligence. It takes time to find one, but it’s well worth it.

The key to making money in Forex is to have a proven, profitable Forex trading system, and applying a solid money management strategy to create a lasting Forex trading income. So don’t waste your time chasing impossibly high winning percentages, or small pip profits, because your time is much better spent trading with a proven, profitable system.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain? ?requency following?response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

I often travel beyond the veil during meditation to meet my spirit friends. He-who-answers-my-questions is one of these friends.

During a recent meditation, I found myself sitting with he-who-answers on the rooftop terrace of his magnificent sandstone home, sipping a beverage tasting like lemonade.

As always, I wanted to discuss something with him. He waited patiently, glowing radiantly as the Being of Light he is.

“I’ve devoted years to spiritual study,” I began “I’ve crammed my head full of spiritual knowledge. But my efforts haven’t brought me permanent happiness.”

He-who-answers looked thoughtfully out at the green landscape dotted with scattered homes. Beyond lay the towers of a crystalline city in the distance. I saw no roads but knew I could travel to any destination at the speed of thought.

At last, he turned to me and said, “Dear friend, your experience is not unusual. Humans search endlessly for happiness. It is what they most desire. They believe doing certain things will bring them happiness. You, for instance, believe that acquiring spiritual knowledge will lead to happiness, just as others believe that acquiring money will lead to happiness.”

The exotic fragrance of potted red flowers growing nearby distracted me for a moment. The flowers seemed to glow from light within and even emitted a faint musical sound like chimes.

“It isn’t sufficient just to know stuff,” I pointed out. “How can I learn to feel it?” My question reminded me that the distance from my head to my heart is like a journey of a thousand miles.

He-who-answers smiled gently. “What is it you expect to experience from the knowledge you’re amassing?” he asked.

“Perhaps enlightenment,” I answered. Then I reconsidered and said, “I want to establish a closer relationship with Spirit while still in the physical world.”

“You’re already doing that,” he said. “You’re doing it right now. The spiritual knowledge you’re acquiring is helping you grow spiritually — and helping you develop a closer relationship with us. How does that feel?”

“Wonderful!” I exclaimed.

“Then you already know the answer to your question,” he said. “You always thought you might experience happiness once you had attained enough spiritual knowledge at some time in your future. You thought you might even become enlightened, once you acquired enough spiritual knowledge. But know this: happiness is something you can experience right now, regardless of how much spiritual knowledge you have attained.”

Just then, two small, brightly colored birds alighted on the terrace railing. They began to sing a joyous melody and fluttered happily about. I laughed in delight.

“You should spend more time in nature,” he-who-answers suggested, noticing my fascination with the birds. “Being in nature brings you closer to Spirit, and that closeness to Spirit leads to the happiness you are seeking.”

He selected a clump of luscious black grapes from a bowl on the small table between us and seemed to inhale them. Then he continued, “Do you remember when you were 10 years old? On a certain autumn day, you went walking along a tree line bordering a field of corn that had recently been picked. It was what you call Indian summer, when the temperature turns warmer for a week or two following a brief cold spell in Pennsylvania and there’s an enchanting haze in the air and the leaves turn crimson and orange and yellow. It was raining lightly. You were alone and a lingering state of bliss overcame you. Do you remember it?”

His description brought back a captivating memory and I nodded.

He continued, “You often experienced bliss and wonderment when you were young — especially when you were alone in nature. On that autumn day, you were very close to Spirit. That’s why you felt the way you did then. I was with you that day. But soon you became a teenager and then an adult, and you got caught up in things of the physical world. Your life experience as an adult eventually turned into utter misery for you, and you began to anesthetize yourself with alcohol. You lost all contact with Spirit. Any remnants of your childhood bliss and wonderment vanished completely. After years of stress and chaos, your life began to implode, and we knew you wouldn’t survive much longer. That’s why we had to intervene in 1990 and again in 2000, in experiences that you refer to as spiritual awakenings.”

He paused to make sure I understood and then continued. “Your youthful feelings of bliss and wonderment are returning at long last. So is your sense of adventure in life. You are getting close to Spirit once again. The spiritual knowledge you are acquiring is helping provide a cure for your many years of misery.”

Yet again he paused and then said, “The veil that once seemed to separate you from us is becoming thinner now. Soon it will not exist for you at all. Soon you will not only know but will actually feel that you are not separate from us when you are in the physical world. Indeed, you will know for certain that you never have been separate from us. It has only seemed that way.”

My time with he-who-answers was drawing to a close. I thanked him and, in an instant, found myself back in the physical world. I now knew that my journeys beyond the veil would continue to bring me spiritual knowledge — and happiness.

There are very few experiences more terrifying than a full-fledged panic attack. It rolls over you like a freight train and shakes you to your foundation. Your chest tightens like a vice, your heart races out of control, and your throat constricts, leaving you gasping for breath.

Blood pressure shoots to the stratosphere and you fear that your heart will literally explode. You may think you are dying. Even more frightening is the loss of psychological grounding. You fear for your very sanity.

Determining the cause of panic attacks can be a challenge. Is it psychological? Physical? (Perhaps hormonal since panic attacks are most common among young adults?) Are they set off by stress?

All of these factors no doubt play a role in panic attacks. And they are all difficult to influence, especially in the short term. Stress is a part of life and can be especially acute in adolescents or young adults. Hormonal peaks and valleys are unavoidable. And psychological causes are complicated and time-consuming to decipher.

Many times the cause will remain a mystery forever. I suffered severe panic attacks as an adolescent and to this day, many years later, I can still not be sure what was behind them.

So it’s fair to ask: Could identifying the cause of panic attacks be a red herring? Is this a case where treating the symptoms may make more sense than curing the cause? I believe it is. In fact, I would even say that a panic attack is the symptoms. After all, this is a condition and not an illness.

Treat the symptoms and you treat the panic attack!

But how do you do that?

The symptoms of a panic attack make up a long list but among them are two that are far and away the most common, severe and frightening: a racing heart and breathing difficulties including shortness of breath and hyperventilation.

Learning to control your heart is possible but difficult. Luckily, learning to control your breathing is easy with the right technique. And because the respiratory and circulatory systems are closely linked; as your breathing goes so your heart will follow.

Control your breathing and you control the panic attack! Sadly, the breathing techniques and instructions often recommended for anxiety and panic attacks are of minimal value. Usually they’re lifted from complicated and ritualistic practices such as yoga or Zen meditation. Stripped of their context and proper training they are confusing and of little use during a panic attack. In fact, a panic attack is the worst time to be experimenting with breathing techniques! It could easily make it worse.

Far more useful is a breathing method scientifically designed, tested and proven to lower high blood pressure. The Breatheasy method uses slow breathing with music to produce deep relaxation, lower blood pressure, stress and anxiety relief, and other related benefits.

The user listens to an audio program that combines a guided breathing track with relaxing music. The breathing track guides the user’s breathing in a pattern proven to lower blood pressure when accompanied by a state of deep relaxation. This state is achieved much more easily while absorbed in the meditative music.

The program has also proved extremely effective in coping with panic attacks. It does so on several different levels:

Using the slow breathing with music program 15 minutes a day reduces general levels of stress and anxiety (it also lowers high blood pressure – normal blood pressure is not affected).
Over a period of daily use the slow and relaxed breathing pattern is internalised so that it becomes easy to call up when needed, such as in situations which may precipitate a panic attack or when an attack has struck.
Regular practice also allows the breathing pattern to become closely associated in the emotions with a state of deep relaxation. When used during a panic attack the breathing technique will put the user “in touch” with this positive, relaxed feeling.
The audio program can also be used for direct intervention as a breathing pacer in an exposure situation (flying, doctor’s waiting room, etc.). On an mp3 player it is extremely portable, user-friendly and discreet.

The simple knowledge of having such a powerful tool at one’s disposal is an amazing relief in itself.

“Take a deep breath” they always tell you in moments of great stress, panic or even anger. Breathing slowly and deeply calms your heart and nerves as surely as eating quiets a growling stomach.
