Brainwave Entrainment Brain Waves 101 – A Guide to How the Mind Works

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Here is a little science lesson about the brain and a guide to how the mind works. I am sure you have heard that the brain uses electrical impulses to transmit information from one part of the brain to another, and even to the rest of the nervous systems, which determine our predisposition and understanding about how our body reacts to different situations and the five basic senses. This is just the surface of the issue, a mere tip of the ice berg. What most of us do not realise, is that the brain is sending billions of electromagnetic radiations in the form of wavelengths at all times – a by product by the constant chemical reactions by the neurons in our cortex.

When our brain’s neurons fire as one, they create a sustained wavelength and this is usually preceded by an event. For example, the time before we sleep and the time when we are sleeping, our brain is pulsing very low and very uniform wave lengths within a range. Not only do they tell us that you are in a relaxed state of mind and in deep sleep, there are certain other effects that these low ranges have an effect on. For example, one might be able to learn faster and absorb more information when in these states. You also might have a higher level of activity in your immune system and you might also be able to heal faster. The brain works in strange ways and the way it is built now, it seems to have within itself the power to induce super states of learning and mental activity – but in seemingly strange places. As we go through life, we are in a confused state of brainwave activity and we do not always have a single standard range at any one time.

So what we need to be able to do is evoke the ranges that we need, when we need it. Before a presentation we need a lot of mental focus and agility. Before we start on a project we need high levels of critical thinking and creativity. When we embark on a course or learning a new language, we need to have the faculties that allow us to learn faster and absorb more information. These are the things that can propel us to new levels of success with values and potential that we never knew we had.

There are many incarnations of the technology available online and as a consumer, you have the opportunity now to purchase them and boost your brainpower. From CDs to audio files and e-books, the options are unlimited. Many people are getting the benefits of this technology and it is time that you do too. Whatever it is you are doing in life, whether you are a student, a professional or even a retiree, get the advantage over everyone else with brainwave entrainment technology. It is a scientifically tried and tested method, so what do you have to lose? You will not regret trying it at all.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain? ?requency following?response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Do you have the necessary attributes to be a successful secret services agent? Do you melt into the background where no one can see you? Do you hide behind someone else? Would you describe yourself as having an incognito life? Are you capable of always putting yourself second? Do you constantly defer to another person? Do people see right through you and ignore you?

Then you have the skills.

You see, as John Reilly, states in the song he wrote for the musical Chicago; you are no more than Mr. Cellophane man.

Mister cellophane

Should have been my name !!!!

Mister cellophane

’cause you can look right through me

Walk right by me

And never know I’m there!

The question is:

Are these the skills you need to have an effective life?

Are these the skills that bring you fulfillment and happiness?

Are these the skills that show off your uniqueness and enable you to fulfill your role on this planet?

In our experience the answer is, no.

So how do you avoid being Mr. Cellophane man?

Simple.

Start by changing your focus of yourself. Rather than look at what is wrong with you and what needs changing. Sit quietly with yourself for a moment and look at your qualities.

Ask yourself:

o What are my strengths?

If you are not sure, or cannot put your finger on your strengths

1. Take a LARGE sheet of paper and write down all the things you like about yourself. Go on write it anywhere on the paper. Make it as large or as small as you like. It doesn’t have to be a list.

2. Ask a friend or friends what they like about you. What do they see as your strengths and add it to the paper. Be prepared for a shock because how others see you may not be how you see yourself. Remember don’t edit. Add everything they say.
3. Read the list before you go to sleep and add anything new that comes to you in the morning.

o When was I most successful?

Sit quietly in a private space and let your body relax and turn your thoughts inwards, to yourself. Look back into your past, look for all the times you were successful. Look for those times when you felt really confident and well. Don’t let your “editor” distract you.
Focus on those good times. The times when you were successful. Enjoy the feeling.

What strengths were you using at this time?

Don’t forget to write them, your strengths, on your LARGE sheet of paper.

Keep this sheet of paper and read it before you go to sleep. The last thing you do before you sleep. Read YOUR strengths.

In a short time you will find that your focus does change. You are able to live your uniqueness. You are happy and more fulfilled. You no longer qualify for membership of the secret services. You are no longer Mr. Cellophane Man.

You are someone who has something to offer the world.

Good Luck

To reduce the stress level in your life can be really difficult. You may not be able to completely get rid of all your stress but you can learn to control it. One of the things that cause stress is worry. If you are the type of person who is always worrying about every little thing then you need to learn how to reduce stress levels.

To help you control your stress level we have come up with several things that you can do. Each one is easy to accomplish with just a little bit of effort.

First thing you should do is to cut out or cut down your caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant and by having too much caffeine in your system you are increasing your heart rate along with your stress.

Next you should cut down or cut out alcohol. Alcohol acts like a depressant. By drinking too much alcohol you will feel even sadder which will increase that dreaded stress.

You should consider taking up meditation to help relieve your stress. Meditation is considered one of the best ways to get rid of stress. Meditation can be done basically anywhere and any time you need it. Ideally you should be by yourself, sitting in a comfortable position, listening to calm and soothing music. Then you should repeat to yourself “I feel calm”, “I feel peaceful”, “I feel totally happy” or anything like that that will ease your stress.

Stop taking on too much responsibility or work. One of the major causes of stress is over extending yourself every day. Don’t be afraid to tell somebody no when they want you to do something and you don’t have time to do it. And when you do tell them no, don’t feel bad about it. Remember it is your health we are talking about here.

Take time out of your day for yourself. Don’t work through lunch and your break times. You need these times to regenerate your mind and body. Consider taking several short five minutes “Me Time” breaks daily. During these “Me Time” breaks, relax your mind and don’t think about work or any problems you may have.

While you are doing these “Me Time” breaks be sure to cut your cell phone off. The last thing you want while you are relaxing is your phone ringing ruining your stress free time.

These are just some of the ways you can reduce stress levels. You may not be able to do them all every day but when you can do them, do them. If you don’t take action to reduce your stress it will only get worse.

brain waves New Age Spirituality Concepts

Meditation music is music performed to aid in the practice of meditation. It can have a specific religious content, but also more recently has been associated with modern composers who use meditation techniques in their process of composition, or who compose such music with no particular religious group as a focus.

relaxing meditation music for sleep | brain power
The New Age is a term that encompasses a lot of concepts derived from diverse sources which for centuries have contradicted one another. The one term which may describe all these phenomena is the word non-normal. New Age refers to all those concepts which are non-normal to most of humanity in the current time, what Dick Hebdige called “a subversion to normalcy.”

So New Age Spirituality refers to a kind of spirituality that is not the rule in the present culture in which we live, whether we are westerners or easterners, whether we live north of the equator or south of the equator. It is a spirituality that is a subculture in our mainstream culture.

Its main concepts may be classified according to its view of God, of spirit, of man, of the planet earth, and of the heavenly bodies.

The first concept in New Age Spirituality is the absence of a creed or set of propositions to believe in. Whereas every institutional religion has a creed to stand by, like the Apostles’ Creed in Christianity, New Age Spirituality does not have a creed like that. But this does not mean it has no set of ideas to offer to other people. It has. And these are concepts which are more or less common to the many streams which claim or compose the New Age Spirituality.

The second concept then of New Age Spirituality is its assertion of a God who is different from the God of established religions. The God of the established religions like Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism is a transcendent God, one who is beyond our mind to consider, whom we cannot experience by our own powers.

On the other hand the God of New Age Spirituality is a God who is one with the universe. He may be the universe itself, or he may be us and the universe. And he is not transcendent, beyond our mind and powers to experience. We can experience this God here and now by meditation, by yoga exercises, by revelation from this God himself, and even by drugs.

The third concept of New Age Spirituality is its concept of spirits. We are all surrounded by all kinds of spirits, from angels to souls of the departed. And the spiritual world is superior to the material world. We can communicate with these spirits and those spirits can influence our life, maintaining our health and fortunes.

The fourth concept of New Age Spirituality is on its idea about the human being. The human being is an untapped potential of powers. The human being can do more than what we see him doing now. He has already discovered and harnessed the powers of electricity, of computers, of instant communications. He can do infinitely more. He is spirit with infinite powers at his disposal, if he only knew how to harness these powers.

The human being is a totally free agent, therefore. And he breaks loose from the traditional restraints of society in general and of the churches in particular.

The fifth concept of New Age Spirituality is concerning the planet earth. It is a living being on its own. The term used to refer to this planet is Gaia, the Greek goddess personifying the earth. Because of this, New Age Spirituality has a reverence for this planet earth. Hence persons who profess New Age Spirituality have programs on environmental care. Because of this they advocate simple living so that the environment will not be destroyed.

The sixth concept concerns the heavenly bodies, the sun, moon, planets, their satellites, the stars and other heavenly bodies. These heavenly bodies, according to New Age Spirituality, have a consciousness of their own and they influence lives, human and non-human, on this planet earth.

From these basic concepts flow the other concepts and practices such as yoga exercises, controlled and supervised meditation, meditative, soothing music, communicating with the dead, use of crystals in health care, mind travel to heavenly bodies, psychic knowledge of the future and of the minds of others, practice of alternative medicine, reincarnation, karma or the accumulation of good and bad merits, eclecticism in religious beliefs tending to form one universal religion, respect for women as leaders in religion, respect and reverence for ancient civilizations, emphasis on personal, mystical experience as opposed to dogmatism and ritualism of the churches, the dawning of a new age of abundance and happiness.

Looking for a solution to your lack of sleep problems? Well, you’re definitely not alone there. An estimated 25 million people in the United States, not to mentioned the countless others around the globe, are suffering from chronic insomnia. They all want a cure for their insomnia, one that works and doesn’t cost too much. Fortunately, their prayers, as well as yours, have been answered! Here is a jaw dropping, 100% effective, natural cure for insomnia!

A no-nonsense cure for chronic insomnia and lack of sleep problems has finally been discovered… sleep sound therapy!

Sleep sound therapy — which also goes by the name sleeptracks and brainwave entertainment — is a simple remedy that involves listening to gentle tones, pulses, and rhythmic beats. These different sounds lull the listener to sleep quickly and they do so naturally; meaning there are no “druggy” after-effects like there are with sleeping pills.

WAIT! Don’t go running for the hills just yet. I’m not trying to convince you to buy a “Sounds of the Ocean” or a “Sounds of the Rain forest” CD. Such CD’s might help to calm & relax you, but they are in NO WAY a cure for chronic insomnia or lack of sleep problems — and anyone that says otherwise is a straight faced lier. Having said all that, you should be well aware that sleep sound therapy is NOT like those other all-too-common gimmicks used to screw people out of their cash. It’s a scientifically proven method of treating chronic insomnia; and if you don’t believe that, then you can just check the facts for yourself.

How Sleep Sound Therapy Works

Without wasting too much of your time with medical jargon and technical info, I’ll try to explain how this cure for chronic insomnia actually works.

Step 1. Put the Sleeptrack CD Into the CD player.

Step 2. Turn On CD player and slide into bed.

Step 3. Try to Go to Sleep As Normal.

Step 4. You’re Sleeping.

That’s how this treatment works — really. By step 3, the sounds & rhythms from the track are already being followed and copied by your brain’s electrical pulses. Since these sounds & rhythms have been calibrated for the one and only goal of getting to sleep fast, your brain won’t know what hit it. Rather than it staying in it’s “overactive” state — which is the main reason you’re not sleeping — it will have been calmed and slowed dramatically, allowing you to get the sleep you need, not to mention deserve.

If there is a better, faster, safer, or even a cheaper cure for chronic insomnia and lack of sleep problems, well, it has yet to be found!

Effective help for children with ADHD is currently one of our most urgent challenges today. Creative problem solving and leadership skills are needed more now than ever before. Many children and teens with ADHD are gifted with an ability to access a genius level of intelligence, but may need some help in learning effective ways to harness and channel the high level of creative energy that’s available to them.

Because a child’s early environment has a significant impact on all levels of development, each case of child ADHD presents highly individual symptoms which need a personalized plan of action for effective treatment.

Passage of the “No Child Left Behind Act” of 2001 (NCLB) has educators, students and parents under pressure to push students through rigid curriculums. Students who aren’t able to flow with the structure are many times labeled as ADD/ADHD and put on stimulant medications to make them easier to manage and more like “normal” children.

Children under 16 are being put on ADHD prescription drugs at an increased rate of more than 33% since 2005. Ritalin and Concerta are two of the more popular stimulant drugs that work in part by suppressing alpha brain waves, which are predominant in many “gifted” children. Depending on the characteristics of a child’s symptoms, these drugs may be helpful in some cases but can come with negative side effects and may increase anxiety in children with ADHD.

The educational system will be slow to change so parenting children with ADHD includes the job of finding the safest and healthiest ways to support their kids and help them thrive in a system that’s not yet equipped to deal with them as they are.

Brainwave Training Can Provide Help for Children With ADHD

Much like a child can be taught to ride a bike, a child can also be trained to regulate the way they focus attention. Through brainwave biofeedback training, also called electroencephalographic (EEG) biofeedback or neurofeedback, a child is provided with information to enhance brain regulation. This makes the necessary adjustments which bring about positive behavioral changes and self-regulation.

Learning how to effectively focus attention with brainwave training takes advantage of a child’s ability to easily access alpha brain waves. Learning to effortlessly focus attention in alpha is sometimes called “open focus”, and is the key to “superlearning” and enhanced problem solving skills. Rather than suppressing a gifted child with drugs, even popular games like “PlayStation” and “Xbox” can be adapted for effective brainwave training.

Other non-drug related strategies to help children with ADHD that work well with biofeedback are herbal and homeopathic remedies and diet adjustments. Using these in conjunction with brain training can be an effective way to accelerate progress.

Brainwave Entrainment Voodoo Love Spells for Beginners

Voodoo love spells are one of the most popular forms of magick, since it’s displayed in movies and TV series, where characters insert pins to a doll to affect another character. In reality, it’s not that different. Here’s how to cast basic voodoo love spells.

Doll

You will need 2 dolls, one to represent the person of your desire and another to represent you. They can be made by you with some fabric and stuffing such as cotton or can be bought. Some people try to make them resemble the persons that they represent in voodoo doll spells, but I’ve had success even if they resemble cartoon characters.

Magickal link

You will need something that is linked to the person of your desire and something that is linked to you. Many people use a lock of hair or nail clippings since they consider them stronger magickal links and think they’ll get better results. If you’ve studied magick for a while, you know it’s you who create the link and works the magick. The materials are only symbols to assist you. A lock of hair or nail clippings are difficult to get and you can get in a lot of trouble if you are seen collecting them. You’ll get the exact same results using full names and birth dates. Write them out on a piece of paper and tape it to the dolls. You can also use photos.

Trance state

Voodoo love spells require that you enter a trance state. This may sound difficult but it’s very easy. Your brain produces frequencies depending on your mood that are known as brainwaves. There are many types of trance states but we’ll use deep relaxation to switch your brainwaves to alpha or tetha which allows you to affect others with your thoughts. Focus on the parts of your body one by one, taking away all tension until you start to feel rested and renewed.

Charm

Create a charm that describes the goal of your voodoo magic. For example, “love me with all your heart, so that we’ll never be apart.” It doesn’t need to rhyme. You can use a directive instead, such as “love me twice more than I love you.” You may feel tempted to make the person love you 1,000 times more than you love her but she won’t likely leave you alone for a moment. I once had to use voodoo doll spells to calm love in someone.

Romantic Scenes

Manipulate the dolls as if they were kissing and expressing their feelings to each other. You don’t want to make them act as if they were having a walk in the park. Focus on the results you want, not on how you’ll get there. Create a few different scenes.

When you’re done, put away the dolls. Some voodoo magic requires you to bury them but there’s no need for that in this case. Simply take off the piece of paper with your full names and birth dates or photos from the dolls. You can throw them away or keep them but don’t reuse them in other voodoo love spells. These are just their basics and there’s a lot more to them.

8. Don’t be tempted to read your emails, do this last, it takes a lot of time and can be so distracting.

9. This one is major! Tell your family and friends when your hours of working on your business are, so they do not distract you by phone calls or popping around unannounced.

10. Hire a cleaner maybe once every two weeks to help with the housework. If you are a mother like me, you are tempted to carry out the housework in times when you should be working on your home business. Home-help does not have to be expensive, put it this way if you are earning £50 an hour through your home business, then having a home helper for £20 per hour or less is well worth it.

11. The Same goes for getting a ‘gardener’ in once a month to tidy up your garden, this will also save you valuable time so that you can work on your home business

12. Delegate where you are able to. Takes the pressure off.

13. Focus on three main money making activities daily and ensure you get them completed. I suggest the following, creating new Contacts, Follow Up old contacts, and people you have sent your opportunity to, and arrange three ways for sign ups.

14. Take time out to ‘read’ or listen, or do a course for personal development, daily where possible

15. Arrange to meet up either online or offline with a mastermind group or networking group weekly or monthly, up to you.

16. Take time out to do ‘training’ for your business at least two to three times a week.

17. Make time to master one area of social media and ensure you are actioning what you are learning.

18. Meditate daily for minimum 15 minutes, the best time to do this is in the morning or last thing at night

19. Reflect on your activities for the day, were you productive? What could you have done better, what did you do well, what is left over

20. Utilise tools that can help you keep in touch with various social media sites at one time such as socialoomph, Buffer, Hootesuite, OnlyWire. This will help you limit the amount of time you spend online socialising instead of producing money making activity.

21. Use the opportunity of taking your children to playgroup or school and network with other mums, dads and nanny’s, give out your card, or just chat with them and let them know what you do.

Everyone is shocked when they first hear the word cancer. Some people may feel they know the test results before they hear them, but it’s still a shock to hear the words spoken out loud. It’s usually very difficult to hear or remember anything else after hearing that your loved one has cancer.

For many people, the first few weeks after diagnosis are the most difficult. After you hear the word cancer, you may have trouble listening to what is being said, and asking questions that you may have. When you are at home, you may have trouble thinking, eating, or sleeping. Remember, you are not always going to feel this way. We all struggle to figure out how and why this happened. What went wrong? We want answers, and it can make you crazy. Every cancer is different and there just aren’t any answers.

You and your loved one will have many feelings after you hear the word cancer. These feelings can change from day-to-day, hour-to-hour, or even minute-to-minute. Some of the feelings you may both go through include:

Anger

Once you accept that your loved one has cancer, you may feel angry and scared. It is normal to ask Why us? and be angry at:

The cancer

Your healthy friends and loved ones

If you are religious, you might even be angry with God

Anger sometimes comes from feelings that are harder to show–such as fear, panic, frustration, anxiety, or helplessness. If you feel angry, don’t pretend that everything is okay. Talk to someone about your anger. Most of the time, talking will help you feel better. A lot of times caregivers don’t feel like they have the right to these feelings, that only the cancer patient does. Cancer definitely affects the entire family, and you must acknowledge these feelings and work through them, for everyone’s sake.

Fear

The word ‘cancer’ frightens everyone I know! You may be afraid or worried about:

Taking care of your loved one

Taking care of your family

Paying your bills

Keeping your own job while taking care of your loved one

Losing your loved one

Most people feel better when they know what to expect. You will feel less afraid when you learn more about the specific kind of cancer and its treatment….so read as much as you can and learn as much as you can about your loved one’s cancer. Don’t let the word cancer disempower you. Knowing the facts, and recommended treatments will reduce your fear, and make you a stronger partner for your loved one.

Stress

Your body may react to the stress and worry of your loved one’s cancer. You can learn to handle stress in many ways, like:

Talking to people in the same situation as you are

Exercising

Listening to music

Reading books, poems, or magazines

Relaxing or meditating

Talking about your feelings with family and close friends

Writing your feelings down in a journal to get further clarity around them

The key is to find ways to control stress and not to let it control you.

Lack of Control

When you first learn that your loved one has cancer, you may feel as if your life is out of control. You may feel this way because:

You are now focused on doctor visits and treatments

You feel helpless

You feel like you don’t have time to do the things you normally do

Stay focused on what you can do, right now, to improve the situation. And remember, it won’t always be this way.

Loneliness

You may find that your friends or friends don’t know how to deal with your loved one’s cancer and they may not ask about it or know what to say. You may not have the energy or focus to take part in the hobbies and activities you used to enjoy. And sometimes, even when you are with people you love and care about, you may feel that no one understands what you are going through as everyone is focused on your loved one.

Consider joining a support group or talking to a close friend or family member that understands. It always help to know that you are not alone.

Hope

Once you have accepted that your loved one has cancer, you will often feel a sense of hope. There are many reasons to feel hopeful.

People with cancer can (and do) lead active lives, even during treatment.
Your chances of your loved one’s living with–and living beyond–cancer are better now than they have ever been before Many doctors and most alternative practitioners think that hope may help the body deal with cancer. Scientists are looking at the question of whether a hopeful outlook and positive attitude helps people feel better. If you are hopeful, that will help your loved one be hopeful as well.

Here are some ways you can build your sense of hope:

Write down your hopeful feelings and talk about them with others

Plan your days as you usually have done

Don’t limit the things you like to do

Consciously look for reasons to hope

You will experience so many feelings as you learn to live with your loved one’s cancer diagnosis. It’s OK to take time to mourn and let the diagnosis sink in. It may feel like a loss of freedom and safety, but it won’t always be this way. Life moves forward, and your loved one’s cancer becomes just one more thing in your life that you have to deal with. Once you tackle this cancer head on, there’s nothing you can’t do!

Can you think of any people that you have met who have absolutely no stress or anxiety in their lives? There are probably not very many, or none at all. The world, as it is today, gives us many more reasons to be anxious than in times past. While it is perfectly normal to feel anxious at certain times, it is not normal to suffer with anxiety to the point where it becomes debilitating, and that’s where understanding anxiety and treatments for panic attacks come in.

Even the most grounded person can experience anxiety attacks. There are many physical ways that anxiety can manifest itself. A person suffering an anxiety attack can almost be crippled from things such as vomiting and diarrhea, or difficulty breathing and sweating. Preventing anxiety from becoming the rule, rather than the exception, then becomes the question.

First, Take Care of You
Prevention is always better than finding a cure, so stopping attacks before they start is key. It almost goes without saying that keeping yourself in good physical condition is the first step. Not only are you healthier physically if you eat right, stay fit, and get plenty of rest, but being healthy and fit causes you to have more confidence in yourself, thereby decreasing a tendency to become overly anxious in certain situations. (A good example of ‘certain situations’ is when women experience lower self-confidence and stress at the beginning of summer, when they have to put on that swimsuit for the first time, but have gained a pound or two over the winter.)

Do You Know What Sets You Off?

Determining what your triggers are is also very important. If there are situations that you know cause you to be anxious, you can try to avoid them, if that’s possible, or you can find a way to prepare for them in an effort to reduce anxiety you know you will feel. Public speaking is an anxiety trigger for literally thousands of people, and is a good example here. So, if you can avoid triggering anxiety, if you know that standing in front of a group of people will do that, then avoid it. So maybe you have to speak publicly for your work, and in that case, you will need to find a way to prepare for the anxiety you can expect to have. Many people suffer from this same trigger, which has spawned organizations like Toastmasters, which can help you overcome this type of anxiety trigger; and if it is one of yours, you should consider going to meetings as part of your anxiety attack treatment plan.

Put Together a Routine to Soothe Yourself
Hot baths naturally relax the body, and are a common preventive measure. It may sound rather simplistic, but it does work for millions of people. (There is a reason why folks flock to hot springs around the globe!) Try relaxing in the tub every night before bed – dim the lights, light a few candles, play soft music, use aromatherapy (lavender is known for its calming affects), and clear your mind of all troublesome thoughts. Try making such a ritual part of each day to allow yourself that one small bit of time to allow yourself to be soothed.

You can incorporate meditation into your routine as well, and can combine meditation with your bathing ritual. Meditation can really help you reduce stress and anxiety levels, and it is free to learn any of the countless methods that are available to you. No-mind meditation is a method whereby you force everything out of your mind – if you have nothing to worry about, even for a few moments, your body will reward you with a peaceful reaction.

We all recognize, however, that you won’t always be able to stop in the middle of certain activities to meditate or bathe, so you will need to find another way to gain tranquility, and breathing exercises are a good choice in these instances. Again, the methodology here can vary greatly, and you may have to experiment with a few different breathing techniques before you find the one that works for you. Why not take a moment to try one of the most basic of breathing techniques right now – while slowly counting to ten, breathe in through your nose, and then out through your mouth.

Is it Time Get Treatment and/or Medication?
Maybe you have tried all these things with no change. If that’s where you are, then maybe you should think about professional treatment or a patented treatment program, with or without medication, either over-the-counter or prescription. You can check out methods that have great reviews, such as Panic Away, The Linden Method, Holothink, or Easycalm. You can get free trials of most of them, which will allow you to find out which one is more likely to work for you. It will be well worth the money you spend on one, if it works for you.

As to medications, researching them to find the right one can be an anxiety trigger in and of itself. While there are a great many available by prescription, there are also hundreds more that can be purchased over-the-counter. Some prescribed medications can actually increase your risk of having suicidal thoughts, and some herbal remedies can also have ill effects, so it is advisable to really research this area. You are strongly advised to seek the counsel of a psychiatrist, psychologist, or medical or osteopathic doctor on this subject, if you have reached the point where you feel you must seek medicinal relief.

There are some states in which medicinal marijuana is legal, and in those states many folks have found that it helps them with anxiety, but it is still illegal in most states, and self-medicating is not always the best idea. Plus, if you don’t have a prescription for it, using can put you at risk of being in trouble with the law, and you certainly do not need to add that kind of anxiety to your life if you already suffer from anxiety attacks.

The Magic Combination For You Might Take Some Experimentation
Finding one or a combination of one or more methods that work for you is the overriding goal here. You have anxiety that is unique to you, and that means that even though your friends, neighbors and family members may have found what works for them, the same things will not always work for you. The good news, though, is that it is possible to develop an anxiety attacks program for yourself that incorporates healthy living, meditation and/or breathing techniques, and even therapy and medication, until you have lessened your anxiety to the point where you are no longer suffering. You can get there – remember that, and under no circumstances should you give up before you do.
