Brainwave Entrainment How to Use Astral Projection Binaural Beats

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Getting the Best Experience out of Astral Projection Binaural Beats

If you know how to properly use astral projection binaural beats then you will be able to astral project on demand anytime you like. It does require some practice and patience though. If you don’t know how to use them correctly then you are completely wasting your time because they will not work. It’s possible to project on your own without the use of special tools such as binaural beats but this can take years of practice and your still not guaranteed any results.

Even though binaural beats entrain your brainwaves to the exact frequencies needed to astral project it still requires your mental effort to separate from your body. This is where knowledge and practice come into play. By using the techniques shown here and implementing into your next session, you should have no problem astral projecting in a few days.

First let me say that you should only use astral projection binaural beats if you are an advanced individual. You should master reaching deep states of meditation and lucid dreaming before you start. You can still project without knowing how to do these things but it makes the OBE easier.

Reason

Before attempting to astral project make sure there is a good reason why you want to do it. It could be reassurance for life after death, visiting with deceased loved ones, spiritual growth, or just to have an amazing experience. Whatever your reason make sure it’s a good one and stay focused on it. This will keep you motivated to keep going and trying each day.

Relax

The first step in separating your body is relaxation. Lay on your back with your arms by your side and allow the binaural beats to take you away. The only way to project is having your body asleep while your mind is awake. This requires an extremely relaxed state.

Focus

In order to separate your body your consciousness must be completely focused down to a barely noticeable thread. You cannot let any other thought slip in or you will easily slip into a dream or out of the separation state. Try to focus on one single thing such as the sounds of the binaural beats or your breathing.

Fear

In order to project you must remove and let go of all fear. May sound silly but when you realize just how real and intense the experience is it opens the door for all kinds of bad thoughts to creep in. You must be completely fearless and know that you will be safe. Binaural beats can help us with anxiety but not fear. This requires us to let go of it and come face to face with it on our own.

Separate

After you relax, focus, let go of fear, and allow the binaural beats to bring us to the hypnotic state we can start the separation process. At this point you should be feeling intense buzzing and vibrations throughout your entire body. If not, then you are not ready. Once you get to this point you should be able to lift your astral arms and legs. Your so close to being out! Use these techniques to complete the separation process:

Rope Technique – Imagine a rope above your head and grab it with your astral arms to pull out.

Roll Out Technique – Like you would roll out of your bed do the same with your astral body.

Visualize – Imagine yourself outside your body looking at yourself until you really are.

Will Power – Once you become more advanced you can will yourself out.

Follow this guide and you’ll be well on your way to astral projection on demand with binaural beats.

Tip: For the best results make sure you are using good quality binaural beats. Get a comfortable pair of headphones, try to have a dim light in the room such as a candle, and make sure there’s no outside noise or distractions

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

Meditation music is music performed to aid in the practice of meditation. When it comes to success…as any kind of writer, or as an entrepreneur in any area…creativity is important…really important.

Albert Einstein said: “Imagination is more important than knowledge.” He also said: “The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.”

The marketplace in which we live is constantly changing. We humans have what seems an insatiable appetite for new…new products, new services, new art, and new art forms…new anything!

What the marketplace requires, therefore, is your creativity. Your ability, your willingness to expand your abilities to create new ideas, new solutions, new ways of living.

What that requires of you…of me…of anyone who chooses to affect the world in which we live…is to return to the imaginative and creative voices in our minds when we were 6 — or younger!

Bravery required? Yes! This means abandoning the “tried and true”…taking risks without guarantees…exploring… ignoring…the “borders” of the known that we’ve been taught. It means returning to the age at which we build “forts” from sticks, castles from sand, “pies” from mud, and entertained in our forts and castles those who existed only in our minds.

Creativity comes from unreasonableness. It means ignoring our analytical, logical, judgemental, detail-oriented training. It comes from humor, vision, music, imagination…and non-judgement!

Creativity demands that you be curious…not smart. There are, and will continue to be, many nay-sayers to block your curiosity, your creativity, and your tenacity when your exploration has begun to take hold of you, and you know you have an idea that…successful or not…must be shared.

Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM, said in 1943: “I think there is a world market for maybe 5 computers.” Lord Kelvin said in 1895 “Heavier than air flying machines are impossible”, and Daryl F. Zanuck, 20th Century Fox movie studio said in 1946 “Video won’t be able to hold on to any market it captures after the first six months.”

All of these…and many more…naysayers have been proven wrong. They’ve been shown to lack “creativity… or imagination, ” by the brave individuals who chose to follow their dreams…their intuition…their inner voices… and chose not to follow the advice of the naysayers…the experts…the prognosticators…even their own self-doubts…to create for all of us a better, richer, world in some way.

Is each person who does this always successful? Are you always going to get the “big score” when you create something new…even when you believe with your whole soul…your whole being…that what you’ve created is absolutely necessary…or offers such incredible value it should not be ignored?

No. Absolutely not. You won’t always be successful. Ask Albert Einstein.

Or…better yet…ask Benjamin Franklin. One of my absolutely favorite quotes is from Benjamin Franklin when he said: “I didn’t fail the test, I just found 100 ways to do it wrong.” And when someone asked him about his attempts to invent the lightbulb:”Is it true that you had over 10,000 failures while trying to invent the light bulb?” he said “Young man, those weren’t failures. Those were practice tests. I learned what not to do from each of them.”

He also said: “Do not fear mistakes. You will know failure. Continue to reach out.”

I know…this is hard to believe, but Walt Disney was actually fired by a newspaper for not having enough ideas. And…before he built Disneyland…he went bankrupt several times as he pursued his imagination and creativity.

I love Richard Bach’s 1970’s story about the soaring seagull. I have it in my library, and I still pick it up and read from it from time to time because it inspires me. If you don’t have it already, I highly recommend it. It’s called Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and has sold over 7 million copies. It’s available now in many formats, including e-book. However, before it was published for the first time, it was turned down eighteen times!

As Jonathan Livingston Seagull was transcending his current environment after continually trying new and different flying techniques unknown, and unsupported by the seagull community…and practicing, practicing, practicing, he said to his friend: “”…. Don’t believe what your eyes are telling you. All they show is limitation. Look with your understanding, find out what you already know, and you’ll see the way to fly.”

These are stories about accepting no limitations. Stories of accepting no limits, no “norms”… no “you can’t do that,” and instead…reaching out and embracing failure, often. Instead of saying “Why can’t I?” they said “How can I?” again and again and again.

Do you want to “be” your hero? Do you want to increase your creativity, and take flight to your new world? If so, you’ll need to take your blinders off your creativity!

For a beginning, try:

Exploring a place you’ve never been before.
Listening to a new genre of music that you’re unfamiliar with.
Eating food you’re unaccustomed to.
Look at a problem through your “child’s eyes.” In other words…remember when…
Rather than focus on negatives, as most of us are taught, look for the positive:

What’s positive or useful about your project or your position?
What’s positive about your idea that others can use?
What’s positive about a specific idea you have that others can apply?
What positive things can you or your client do with your ideas? Can you speak about them? Write about them? Give workshops, teleseminars?
Can you donate your ideas, or the results of your ideas to others who may be interested, or may be able to develop them to a level you never anticipated?
Can you develop a membership site or start a forum where your ideas can be brainstormed with the collective result being better than you ever imagined possible?

And…perhaps…one of the best things you can do to increase your creativity…and your success…is to meditate. Practice silence.

J. Krishnamurti, in The Flight of the Eagle said: “Meditation is not something different from daily life. It is total attention. ‘Attention’ implies to attend, that is to listen, hear, see, with all the totality of your being, with your body, with your nerves, with your eyes, with your ears, with your mind, with your heart, completely.”

Give in to your total attention and being. By letting go of expectations…by surrendering to “the flight”; how the wind feels on your wings rather than having to know exactly where you are going, where and when you will land… you will find more synchronicity. You will, as Lao Tzu says, be able to “Do less, be more. Achieve less, have more.”

Creativity and success are yours for the taking. Become again the child…without limitations…without the voices of the world to tell you your dream is impossible.

Know only that in your kingdom the knight slays the wicked dragon and marries the beautiful princess. Every time. And, that the knight will go out…again and again…without fear, knowing that he holds the sacred gift of the intuitive mind…and…if he listens… that will allow him to succeed. Every time.

Any leather recliner chair is well known for the comfort, style and elegance it gives to any room in the house. It is truly a sign and symbol of the good lifestyle that people have learned to enjoy throughout the last couple of decades.

We all work hard and we all need the rest after a heavy, stressful day at work. People have tried various ways to achieve this, and one of the most successful products that actually give that well needed rest is a leather recliner chair. You can so easily put your feet up on the footrest or ottoman, lean back in your recliner with a drink or coffee in your hands (or in the attached pouches that are specifically built in for the purpose of holding a drink) and enjoy your afternoon or weekend. You can easily watch the latest movie, football game or even take a quick nap. Any nap taken in this recliner is bound to fully refresh everyone attempting it due to the additional comfort such a chair gives to the bones and various body parts.

Promoting good health is very easy when you have a leather recliner chair. Not only due to the extensive comfortable seating but also because many people who are in the habit of meditating are using them. Meditation needs a prolonged time in the chair, and if the seating is not comfortable, the mind cannot relax and go in the realms of spirituality as it will be constantly pulled back due to the pain and discomfort in the various bones.

Proper meditation needs a very comfortable placing particularly when it is done by people who are not professional meditators who can practically sit anywhere and still be doing great. When you only start out with meditation, physical well-being and comfort is crucial, at least at first. This is why you can now find many leather meditation chairs that offer all the benefits that regular leather recliners also give.

There are special leather recliner chairs with audio extensions embedded in them so when meditating it is very easy to listen to the various Zen or Reiki music and sounds that promote going deep faster. They are not all that different in price from the regular chairs without this extra features so it is worthwhile looking for them when shopping for that perfect chair for the den. Prices range from $200 to $1000 at times and even more. This is great because now everybody can afford them regardless of their budget preferences and limitations without losing on quality and comfort.

Nowadays many people have at least one leather recliner chair set for the office, living room or meditation room as they have realized the long lasting benefits that these well crafted high quality seating equipments can offer everyone who cares about their wellbeing and health.

Worrying is the most unproductive way to spend your time. It could even be destructive in the long run because negative thoughts never do anyone any good. Like an idle mind, a mind with dark foreboding thoughts may well be the devil’s workshop too. When you worry about something, it will occupy your mind for some time. As you keep at it, the cause of your worry is likely to cast a longer shadow. In the process, you become a chronic worrier who worries about even inconsequential things.

These are some tips on how you can stop worrying:

Make a list.

Write down what worries you along with the reason why it keeps you bothered. For example, you worry that you can’t get on time for an important appointment downtown, and then you write down the cause of your fear as the traffic snarl that often clogs your route. By making this list, you put things in perspective. If you think instead of worrying, it is possible you would realize that you can beat the traffic problem by going to your appointment a couple of hours early.

The time spent for making the list prevents fear from creeping in. When worry does not occupy your mind, you’ll be compelled to confront your fears and take the bull by the horns, so to speak. Before you know it, your coping mechanism is going into action.

Take it easy.

When people are worried, they are high-strung in both mind and body. You can start by relaxing your mind by picking up a joke book or listening to music. The idea is to amuse yourself and divert your attention from the cause of your worry to an activity that holds your interest or challenges your mind.

If this fails to work, try physical activity which is great for relieving tension and raising adrenalin. You may go jogging or work out at the gym. You can even take a long walk. While you do, you are likely leave your worries behind as you eyes feast on the sights along the way.

Cut down on coffee.

If there’s too much caffeine in your system, it may be wise to cut down on your consumption of coffee, tea and cola drinks. The caffeine in these drinks has been known to heighten tension. Alcohol and tobacco are likewise known as mood-altering habits.

Take therapies.

If the above techniques don’t work, there are therapies designed to clear the mind. Meditation and massage are two examples. You can also try aromatherapy, reflexology and yoga. The objective is to get you unwind and relaxed.

Medications.

Only in really serious cases are medications recommended because of the possible side effects from drugs. Consult a doctor when the need arises. Usually, you will be told to take tranquilizers or anti-depressants.

Brainwave Entrainment How to Hypnotize Someone – Conversational Hypnosis Techniques

Our mind is said to be as vast as our universe. Everything in our brain has a function that is supposedly works for our advantage. One of the most intriguing functions of our brain is to how you can hypnotize someone.

Hypnotism is the art of letting a person into a trance. Hypnotism has been used since ancient times, however, many has condemned this due to some people’s improper use and their wrong impressions and understanding regarding this natural phenomena.

Hypnosis is somewhat similar with sleepwalking and dreaming (lets not forget that Hypnosis comes from a Greek word Hypnos which means sleep).

However, hypnosis is so much different with sleep since people that are hypnotized can actually talk, write, walk or even eat (upon the hypnotizer’s prerogative) and they are fully aware of this most of the time.

Here are some of the tips I got from the net on how to hypnotize someone. This is just a basic technique that you can use if you want to try hypnotizing someone:

1. First, you have to make sure that your subject is in a comfortable state. You can let him sit in a chair or let him lie down, just make sure you won’t let him sleep or else your attempt will be put into waste.

2. According to my research, you have to make the brainwave pattern of your subject to slow down into alpha, theta or delta.

3. After doing such, you can now ask questions to your subjects. Make sure that you have video camera or normal voice recorder during the entire session.

This can help you in getting all the necessary information needed in theorizing the root causes of your subject’s problems. Also, noting everything s/he said can be an advantage should the recorder or camera went berserk.

Hypnotizing someone is not as easy as it seems. You have to have that willingness and exact concentration to be able to achieve great results.

To know more information on how to hypnotize someone, you can check Igor Ledochowski’s digital book ‘Conversational Hypnosis’.

meditation music John Two-Hawks’ Grammy Nomination Speaks to the Heart of Music

Meditation music is music performed to aid in the practice of meditation. It can have a specific religious content, but also more recently has been associated with modern composers who use meditation techniques in their process of composition, or who compose such music with no particular religious group as a focus.

The Oglala Lakota Sioux who has mystified audiences for years with his spirit-connected native flute virtuosity has secured this years Grammy nomination for his 2009 release, Wind Songs – Native American Flute Solos. He is up against the likes of two-time Grammy winner, Bill Miller in the Best Native American Music Album category. As John Two-Hawks puts it, “Of course I would like to win a Grammy, who wouldn’t, but it is not about that. It is about creating music from the heart.”

What makes this nomination amazing is that Wind Songs is John Two-Hawks’ first entirely improvised album. And each song was done in only one take! There was no team of music experts organizing and creating a plan to put together an album that would make a hit or promote a career. There was simply John Two-Hawks, quietly connecting to Spirit, turning on the recording machine and playing what first came out.

“It was as if my mind was empty, no thoughts, only feeling and playing the flute.”

This was not the first time John recorded the flute on the spur of the moment. In the 2007 Emmy winning HBO movie release, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, for which John Two-Hawks played the flute and received an Emmy nomination, director Yves Simoneau asked John to do a very unusual thing after he had recorded all the flute tracks. With no music or preparation, Simoneau had John watch the death scene near the end of the movie for the first time while spontaneously playing the flute. John began playing to a scene of dead bodies in the snow and was so moved that, at a certain point he had to stop playing. He just stopped, and after twenty seconds or so of silence he began to apologize to Simoneau who was standing in the control booth with two thumbs up saying, “That was exactly what I wanted!” In the movie, you can hear where the flute stops for a moment, then the piano takes over.

John feels that Wind Songs and his upcoming release, Earth, Fire, Water, Wind finally express what he has been trying to say musically for years. He tells his audiences, “Each CD is a messenger, the music that is created here and everything that has gone into it is a messenger, and I pray that for whoever takes them home it will bring blessings to those people. That it will make their paths more clear and their roles more meaningful.”

John believes in the integrity of each person’s role in life. And clarifying and living out that role is paramount. “Stay true to what your gifts are, what the Spirit has given you.” He stays true to his gift of music. John is not a man who will create music only to make money. “But the business side of music is part of it.” he says. “It is not inherently evil. It is when you sell your soul only for a buck that you lose yourself. As long as you stay true to yourself, the business side is just part of the process.”

John sees his Grammy nomination as, “A collective nod not only to me, but to Spirit and to everyone who is on this road I travel and where music comes from.” His view is that we are all connected and his music is just one part of that connection. He acknowledges not only all the people involved directly with him, from the roadies to the engineers, but also other musicians on similar paths, other segments of the music business, and all the people who participate and share in music. But he goes even further.

John Two-Hawks believes that looking into your own soul, discovering your own role, and learning to understand others is the key to peace and harmony. To this end, he has spearheaded an organization dedicated to bringing all peoples in the global community into harmony together. It is called the Circle of Nations Global Community. “We have people coming together from nations all over the world to share in a weekend of learning the old ways, the medicine wheel, connectedness.” He says people come who, “want to connect and reach out to you over here and you over there. And realize that we are all connected and have a reason for this journey we are on.”

He feels that “the saddest thing that can happen to a human being in this life is never coming into contact with a reason for your life; a vision for your life and a purpose for being. He sees the one true cause of all the conflict between peoples as, “Peoples’ inability to accept others as they are, to throw away opinions and judgments and accept our differences with an open mind.” The Circle of Nations is one step toward curing the conflicts.

John has been playing music since before he can remember. There seems no doubt he was called to be a musician. “From a very early age music’s been going through my head.” His family tells him how he sang and played even as a toddler. Recently he received a gift of an old recording of he and his mother and father singing together when he was five years old. John remembers, “When I was four years old, I was listening to music on the radio and had a flash of a thought that someday I am going to be one of those people on the other side of that speaker.”

“When I go into my studio to create, it becomes a place of mystical mystery. It is like my brain is not part of the equation. I am going with what is coming out of the center of my being and I can actually feel what it is supposed to be. I can’t settle until I know I have got what I am ‘hearing’. I have always recorded my flutes improvisationally, but all the other instrumentation was recorded first leading the way. And I worked it out and played the flute parts more than one time to get it to where I wanted it. But on the Wind Songs CD, every single song was a first take improvisation.”

John Two-hawks allows his life to be lead by visions, meditating on his calling, leadings of the Spirit. He draws from an unlimited wealth of personal resources he finds within his own heart and imagination. He passes on many stories of the old ways and how we are all connected through his music by means of the many educational performances he has given in schools. With his recent Emmy and Grammy nominations, the spirit of what he represents through his music is being introduced on a much grander scale furthering his dream for peace in the global community.

John’s heart is full of compassion for others and his continued vision is that everything he does will help others get to know who they are, their purpose, and how they can come together in a spirit of goodwill. In a sense, he represents all musicians who put their musical calling first and create music from the heart, not to impress anyone, but to help make a difference. “Music is a language anyone can understand,” he says, which puts music in the unique position of reaching out to all peoples, all cultures, as an unbiased messenger that can bless the world.

John and his wife Peggy will be at the Grammys this Sunday awaiting the results, as will all of us. Regardless of who wins, John intends to continue carrying the spirit of love and compassion and, through his music, spreading a little more peace across the globe.

Train Travel

In the seventies when people planned a backpacking holiday they ventured to Europe and possibly as far as the Far East. Nowadays because travel is more easily accessible and cheaper and the fact that young adults take gap years means more people are travelling and they are going further a field.
Off the beaten track?

Bangkok

The Khao San Road is overpopulated with backpackers all wanting to meet new people and drink cheap beer from street vendors. If backpackers visit the Patpong market they can buy well known fashion brands for low prices.

Africa

Tanzania and Malawi offer an African experience. Malawi has a music festival called the Lake of Stars. Check before travelling when this is scheduled for, as it is well worth a visit.

Vang Vieng

Laos Cambodia and Laos are now attracting backpackers who want to venture further than the beaches of Thailand. In Vang Vieng the atmosphere is relaxed, people can swim in the river or just chill out in a bar or drowsing in a hammock. Nearby is the town of Mong, which is also worth exploring.
Train travel to Mongolia.

The train travelling from Russia to Mongolia is known affectionately as the Trans-Siberian Railway, and is becoming a key route for backpackers. Trains leave Moscow and travel the 9,289 kms over seven days to Vladivostock. It is cheaper to buy the tickets in Russia rather than elsewhere. Sleep in a prison

If travelling to Ljubljana book into the Celicia Hotel. It is under a kilometre outside the city centre but offers a unique experience. The hotel is a converted prison! The hostel’s bedrooms have bunkbeds and have a Scandinavian design. Guests eat breakfast outdoors, there are communal showers, there is a meditation room and artists have designed all the cells. Not far away is Lake Bled which is well worth a visit.

Before planning any trip ensure you check which countries require visas.

There are no hard-set rules for keeping a journal. How often you write, time you spend, and how rigorously you maintain a regular journaling schedule are matters of personal choice and circumstance. Therefore, it is important to find what works for you.

Allow me to provide nine guidelines I promote:

1. Having a regular journaling time builds routine and discipline. Journaling isn’t necessarily about what you write; it’s about just getting your thoughts out to build emotional balance. Find a time of day that feels good for you. Return at this time as often as possible even if you don’t think you have anything to say, you’re tired, or not quite awake. Start by just recording a quote you remembered, or a mantra you’re currently using now for change. Maybe even a list of items you need to do that day or the next day. The process only requires a starting place. The rest will flow naturally. Everyone needs personal time to process his or her thinking. It builds emotional intelligence (EQ). Allow yourself, be gentle with yourself, and give yourself permission to be emotionally balanced.

2. Set your space up for success. Would you prefer your environment to be quiet? Maybe you need hustle and bustle around you. Do you prefer specific music or certain writing materials? I like to have my favorite blanket around me when thinking through personal stuff. I like to write about business stuff in a noisy place. I like to write about marketing in McDonalds with the smell of french fries and grease. Where are yours?

3. Develop a centering ritual. By associating journaling with another pleasurable habit, you can strengthen your journal practice and create an atmosphere of self-nurturing. The ritual can include a glass of wine, tea or coffee. It can be after a phone with someone. It can begin with a certain piece of music. Maybe meditation, deep breathing exercises, or prayer centers you. I have a list of ways to center typed and taped in the front of each journal. I go down the list and start with the one that feels right at that time.

4. Begin with a prompt. Maybe you want to focus on particular type of personal development change and a prompt brings you into that focus faster. Or maybe a general reflection prompt lights the spark plugs. For instance, “What am I feeling right now?” or “What’s been on mind?” Journaling author Anais Nin suggests asking, “What feels vivid, warm, or near to you at the moment?”

5. Write because you know there’s a big benefit for you to do so. Don’t allow journaling to become an obligation or a chore. Allow yourself to give to yourself. Be kind and gentle during this process. Allow the experience to always been seen as possible no matter what pours onto the page. Don’t demand more of yourself than you can give at the time. It’s perfect. If you miss a day or several days, accept that journaling, like life, is imperfect, and goes on. Begin again when do have a chance. Beating yourself up for not journaling isn’t going to help anyone, including you. No one is grading you. No one is measuring and tracking. Be kind to yourself. Remember, there are no rules.

6. Create a positive feedback loop. As you continue to use the journal as an opportunity to be with and learn about yourself, you will find that the practice gains a momentum all on its own. Discovering your own hidden depths piques your curiosity and stimulates you to continue, setting up a positive feedback loop between your conscious and unconscious mind. It opens the gaps that fall in between space and time. It opens creativity, imagination, and possibilities.

7. Emphasize the process and not the product. An important purpose of journal writing is simply expressing and recording your thoughts and feelings. Focus on the thinking process. Keep the words flowing and stop being concerned about the result. If your journaling is about something specific, re-read. Allow room for editing if you choose. Be free to cross out words because you changed your mind and found a better one. Allow yourself to cross out paragraphs and rewrite them so they really mean what you say. This is all part of the thinking process. Every time you rewrite your pose, your growth triples. Use your journal as the raw material processing for more polished thinking.

8. Learn from your experiences. Set up a time to re-read your entries. It’s good to see how far you’ve grown in your thinking. It re-enforces how you’ve changed and grown. It’s a wonderful, personal way to pat you on the back from life. When you reread your material, look for patterns and correlations. What improved? What stayed the same? Learning from you is much gentler on self-esteem. Use objectivity to see a new perspective or hindsight lesson.

Relax, have fun, and laugh! Journal writing is its own reward. Once you get started, your journal will become a good friend. It’s available whenever you need it. Day, night, home, in the car, or in a coffee shop. It’s a 24/7 friend and is always ready to love you back if you let it.

Your journal loves you for just being you.

Indian art began in 3000BC and has flourished till date with great improvements. The major religion that exerted great influence on Indian art is Buddhism thus the worship of the god, Buddha. They believed in life after death with the understanding that something one does in the physical world will determine his destiny in the metaphysical (spiritual) world. Also, it was believed that the soul of each human being passes from one body to another. The Indians are famed for their long tradition of music and dance as well as jewelry for personal adornment. The Indians practiced various art forms such as sculpture, architecture, painting and textiles.

Sculpture

Figures of Buddha and other gods like Shiva were carved, modeled or cast. Buddha was represented in different postures such as seating or standing. However, the seated figures which portray him in his usual meditation or teaching mood domineers. His legs are crossed with his hands folded in his lap with his eyes looking down. On either side of his throne were sculpted lions which were believed to protect sacred personages. Popular episodes of the life and death of Buddha is represented in relief carvings. Three-dimensional figures of Shiva portrayed as ‘the lord of dance’ and also as ‘the lord of pity’ were sculpted.

Painting

The Indians decorated the interiors and exteriors of their temples in fresco paintings. The themes of their paintings included various themes of Buddha such as Buddha teaching the four noble truths commonly referred to as Dharma-1. Life is suffering 2.caused by desire 3.overcome desire by conquering desire 4. Pursue an upright life. The story about Buddha’s birth which was a miracle was depicted in their landscape paintings as well as he meditating under the Bodhi tree. Royal symbols that honor Buddha were also painted on the walls of the temples dedicated to him. Also, portraits of women paraded in beautiful draperies were also painted. Scenes depicting the everyday life activities of the Indians such as the performance of household chores were also an important theme for their paintings.

Textiles

The Indians engaged in weaving by the use of cotton. The woven materials were either painted with the hand or printed as a form of decoration. They were used as clothes, turbans (A traditional headdress consisting of a long scarf wrapped around the head), wall hangings for decorating temples, bed sheets etc.

Architecture

The Indians built temples of worship, Monasteries and assembly halls. The first type of temples which were constructed from stone and wood were used for protecting their sacred places. Rock-out architectural structures fashioned from the sides of cliffs were constructed. Some were constructed by the use of rocks. An example is the Great Stupa at Sanchi which was a Buddhist monastery. The structure consists of Viharas (celled structures where monks lived), Stupas (hemispherical monuments containing the relics of Buddha and other important monks), Chaityas (buildings that protect the stupas) and temples for sheltering images.

Metal Arts

Metal arts in the form of jewelry were produced for personal adornment in bronze, silver, and other precious metals.

The long-standing music and dance culture of the Indians, as well as their high religious atmosphere in Buddhism, reflected the forms, designs, and representations of their art.
