Are you interested in meditation but don’t where to start? Or do you find it hard to concentrate? A guided meditation mp3 can help you on your way to inner peace.

The purpose of meditating is to clear your mind of negativity and to focus on calming and uplifting the mind and spirit. It is often hard when you are first learning to be able to not get distracted and let your mind wander off on its own. That is what the mp3 guide is for. It is simply a digital recording leading you through the process to make it easier.

The first type of guidance will feature a person speaking to you and steering you in the right direction. They may have you breathe a certain way and repeat positive statements that they give you. All you are doing is following their instruction. It will help keep your mind on the right track while you are reflecting. In time, the pattern will become habit for you. Once this has happened, you will find that you can stop the use of the recording and continue on your own path.

There is also another type of mp3 counsel that you can use. These involve the use of soulful, relaxing music. It can be either vocal or instrumental. They work in assisting your progress because music relaxes the mind and replenishes the spirit. If the recording is vocal, the songs are usually variously themed and will repeat certain affirmative phrases after each stanza. Your mind will concentrate on what is being said and felt. This can be a great help in your journey.

Tool #1 – Prayer Beads

Utilization of prayer beads can help bring your mind into a single focus on specific mantras and/or prayers used during your meditations. Making your own strand of prayer beads is simple. Use beads that have a special significance to you or that you feel drawn to. String them along a colored thread that resonates with you, and tie the two ends together, creating a circular strand of beads. For each bead, designate a certain prayer or mantra. As you begin your meditation, focus your mind on the specific saying designated to each bead. This exercise gives you a physical focal point for your mind, which can be helpful for those new to meditation practices.

Tool #2 – Gemstones

Every element of this earth, we included, carries within and around them an electrical charge and a harmonic frequency. Using gemstones that originate within the earth can help shift our frequencies from the intellectual state to the meditative state. Gemstones open the energetic channels within the body, allowing us to be fully open to the receptive nature of meditation. While there are many different stones that can be used, some great ones for beginners are an amethyst held in the left hand, a clear quartz crystal held in the right and an opal placed upon the third eye. This combination of stones balances and grounds the electrical polarities of the body while opening our spiritual vision abilities.

Tool #3 – Music

Using music can be a powerful meditation tool for beginners. Music instantly creates a calm and relaxed response within the body, as well as helps the intellectual mind gently step aside so one can enter the meditative state. Finding the right music is essential. Music that is positive, un-intrusive and designed to bring the mind and body into balance is your best choice. There is now music specifically designed to harmonize the two hemispheres of the brain. This has an incredible effect on individuals when used during meditation, allowing one to go deeper into the experience. Music infused with sounds of nature, chants, crystal and/or Tibetan bowls are also popular choices for meditation.

Provide your brain and body with what they need for consistent high performance with these practical, science-based tips.

Your brain is the most miraculous mass of protoplasm in the known universe. It weighs in at a whopping 3 pounds and has approximately 100 billion neurons capable of connecting with one another in multiple ways to create memory and computing power that boggles the imagination. It’s your navigation system for life.

Your brain needs a healthy and vibrant body to function properly and vice versa. The following tips apply to general health and well-being, managing stress and keeping you alert and focused so you can perform at peak levels.

Fuel for Your Brain and Body

These ideas are intended to stimulate your thinking and motivate independent research to create and implement your optimum brain and body turbo boosting diet. Four to six small and nutrient rich meals per day provide a steady flow of fuel for consistent high performance. “Fatty fish” (e.g. salmon and tuna) containing omega-3 oils seems to be amongst the top ten recommendations from trusted sources for brain and body health. Fresh fruits high in antioxidants and nutrient-rich vegetables in a rainbow of colors come highly recommended. Protein sources include nuts, vegetables, dairy, whole grains, fish, poultry and low fat animal sources. Green tea is high in antioxidants and known as a brain boosting beverage. Four to six, or more, glasses of water is a given. Avocados have monounsaturated sources of fat that increase blood flow to the brain, important minerals and antioxidant properties. Look into turmeric that may protect your brain against disease, improve your vision and strengthen your immune system; look for preparations that include pepper to help your body assimilate this miraculous spice.

Exercise and Posture

Do exercise you enjoy to strengthen your lungs, heart and muscles a minimum of 20 minutes per session, 3 or more times per week. Good posture while sitting, walking and driving will pay dividends now and in the future. Your spinal chord is the “central wiring system” connecting your brain and body. Pay attention to ergonomics where you work, eat, relax, play and sleep.

Stress and Risk Management

Stress causes distress and eventually disease. It’s no fun experiencing stress from worry, a tired body, fatigued brain, and an inhospitable environment. You most likely will make mistakes in what you are doing when stress takes hold. Also, relationships may suffer if you are interacting with others. Simple techniques help you prevent and manage stress.

Oxygen is vital for healthy brain function. Deep and rhythmic breathing is a good practice, particularly under stress, when most people tend to breathe shallowly or hold their breath. Drinking clean ice water, rich in dissolved oxygen, helps brain function as well as flushing body toxins. Exercise is also a great, therapeutic way to increase brainpower and keep the body healthy.

Take a break when you first feel the early signs of stress. Getting physically away from where you are, even for 5-10 minutes, will help you reframe and gather your wits. Do something different like taking a short walk, closing your eyes to meditate, having a short conversation with someone you trust, eating a snack, drinking a healthy beverage or listening to calming music.

Kinesthetic Cross-Overs help increase the distribution of electrical energy, blood flow and oxygen between the two brain hemispheres. Take your right or left thumb and hold it in front of your eyes. Trace an imaginary large figure eight. Follow the motion of your thumb with your eyes. Do three to five sequences, or more, in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. You may also toss a ball from one hand to another to get the same effect.

Focus and Alertness

When you are tired and working too long at one thing your focus and attention drops off. Mistakes and costly accidents can occur. Practical neuroscience methods keep you at peak levels of performance.

Peppermint will perk up your brain when you feel sleepy and need to stay focused and alert. Essential oils, mints and chewing gum work well when driving a vehicle and when you need to stay on task while working.

Frequent breaks are recommended, particularly when doing highly stressful activities. Typically, the adult attention span is 20 – 30 minutes. It makes sense to take short and frequent breaks, timed with the decline of your attention and performance.

Classical music is known to put your brain in an optimal state for high levels of cognitive processing and performance. Popular music may stimulate emotions that can distract you and cause you to think about the words, rather than what you have to do.

Think About What You Think About

What you give attention to gets stronger and persists because of neuroplasticity. It’s like exercising a muscle. When you think about a subject, talk about it, and take in additional sensory information to expand your knowledge and understanding, your memory get stronger, like growing a root system of a tree. If you’re thinking about what you don’t want in life, quickly reverse negative thoughts into polar opposite positive thoughts and outcomes so you will get what you really want to experience. Always think positively and optimistically, even when life is challenging and looks bleak.

In conclusion, small and frequent portions of healthy food, pure water, oxygenation, exercise, proper posture and practical neuroscience are great ways to stay healthy, manage stress and maintain focus to be the very best you can be. A positive mental attitude always wins out and makes life better.

When we hear the word stress we add a negative connotation to the meaning. What most people don’t realize is there are two different kinds of stress. One can actually be positive. The other, must be respected, dealt with naturally, but not feared.

What is the difference between positive and negative stress?

The term stress has been known in the medical community since the nineteen thirties. According to endocrinologist Hans Selye, stress can be described as the consequence of the failure to respond to mental, emotional, or physical demands, whether actual or imagined. Stress starts with an actual or perceived fear of some event or imminent threat. The process starts in the brain with the release of neurochemicals and hormones to the body. An example could be the sudden realization that you are in the path of an on coming car and are in danger of being killed. Contrast this with the positive rush of adrenalin that moves through the bloodstream when you have the feeling of great success and achievement. This rush could be from winning a race, having an orgasm, or anything that gives you that euphoric sense. Exercise can provide us with the feeling of good stress. The effects are positive to our body. Increased blood flow to the organs as well as increased oxygen to the brain is a byproduct of strong exercise.

Long term effects of negative stress

Bad stress can cause damage to you physically or mentally if untreated over an extended period of time. The stress manifests itself in the brain and can reach every corner of your body. Muscle fatigue, increased heart rate, acid build up in your stomach are examples of the effects of an elevated and extended stress levels over time. Increased stress causes the liver to excrete higher levels of bad cholesterol. Over time, this can lead to clogged arteries and ultimately a heart attack. Studies have linked stress to diminished sexual performance as well.

Is there a solution to this problem?

The truth of the matter is that stress is a part of life for all of us. Loss of a job, an IRS audit, loss of a loved one, can all contribute to this issue just as easily as a long trip home on a clogged freeway at the end of the day. The way to deal with this issue is to take preventive measures like taking Omega 3 fish oil as well as figuring out how to deal with life and the setbacks it throws our way. Omega 3 whether in supplement form, or increasing your intake of sea food, particularly fish with fatty acids will serve your health in many positive ways. According to the National Center for Biotechnology, a diet of Omega 3 fish oil integrated into you daily routine can contribute to a noticeable decrease in cortisol. Cortisol is one of the hormones that the body produces during increased periods of stress. Additionally, Omega e fish oil has been directly linked to the lowering of bad cholesterol. Lowering your cholesterol naturally can protect your cardio vascular system and diminish your chance of heart attack. Add to this fish oil supplement the increase in basic exercise for twenty minutes a day and you will increase your defense against the potential damage of stress. Meditation in a quiet place for ten minutes while breathing deeply will also have a positive on your blood pressure.

Now you have a defense against stress

Now that you have learned how to cope with stress one day at a time, remember the most important points to fighting the stress battle and winning. As issues crop up that make you stressed, take them head on one at a time and tell yourself, “I’m not going to let this affect my health or happiness, I can handle this”. Secondly, work in more exercise into your routine, especially after a stressful day. Exercise will provide a quick but temporary relief and give you a chance to wind down. Try meditation to some quiet mood music in a place where you will not be interrupted for ten or twenty minutes. Lastly, give yourself the ability to protect your health and lower cholesterol naturally with rich Omega 3 fish oil. While you work on the mental fight by controlling your thoughts, your cardio vascular system will be protected with a natural fish oil supplement. You can do this!

Every person in this world is seeking happiness in some way. We generally equate happiness with the pleasure we get through our senses. As money is needed to satisfy the sensual desires almost all people run after money assuming that money would give happiness. Money undoubtedly plays a very important role in our lives and to some extent it is appropriate to say that our happiness is directly proportionate to the amount of money we earn. But delving a little deeper we can understand that money is not synonymous with happiness. The most affluent people in the world are not always the happiest.

It is not easy to clearly define happiness. It is also not possible to measure if even though we do experience varying degrees of happiness. The nature of human senses is such that when a sense is exposed to a particular pleasurable experience it enjoys the sensation for sometime. If the sense is repeatedly exposed to the same sensation then it ceases to enjoy that sensation. We all know that if we go an eating our favorite dish several times a day for many days we begin to hate the very sight of it. The same principle applies to all the senses. When a new musical album is released people go mad over it, listen to it repeatedly and dance. After some time the same album does not evoke such a response.

The world is constantly changing and we are exposed to different experiences and sensations regularly. We are so engrossed with worldly activities that we rarely ask ourselves whether we are really going in the right direction to seek happiness. But if we think about it seriously even for a short while we can understand that we cannot attain lasting happiness by running after worldly objects. That means we cannot get happiness that does not diminish from the external world. Does it mean we can never get unending happiness? Many people have occasionally experienced a wave of happiness without apparent reason. Does it mean that true happiness is with in but we do not experience it always? It is a case of so near yet so for? If it is within ourselves why do we not feel it? This is an enigma. All of us, sometime or the other keep something is our pockets but go on searching for it everywhere else. Is it the same with happiness?

Since time immemorial Indian Yogis have been telling us that our true nature is bliss. Because our nature is bliss and we have forgotten our real nature and identify ourselves with the body mind complex we go on searching for it. How do we forget our real nature? The UPANISHADS give the example of different states of the human mind. We all experience the waking state, dream state and the state of deep sleep. In our dreams we may imagine ourselves to be something different. The managing director of a multinational company employing hundreds of people may dream that he is an unemployed youth desperately searching for a job. In his dream he may not get any job even after running from pillar to post and decide to end his life. At that point of time he will wake up because of the unpleasant nature of the dream and laugh at the whole episode.

The UPANISHADS teach us that this world is also a dream and disappears when a person experiences the highest state of meditation, which is called Samadhi. What then is the difference between this and the state of deep sleep in which we are not aware of the world? In the state of deep sleep we are ignorant of our real nature and do not experience the bliss we do in the state of Samadhi. The UPANISHADS state categorically that God is the only truth and this world of names and forms is an illusion brought about by the power of God, which is referred to as Maya. The ultimate goal of human life is to experience our real nature, which is spiritual and attain ever lasting and infinite bliss. This can be attained by regular and scientific meditation. The quest for happiness ends there. Those who are curious to learn more can study the UPANISHADS particularly the Mandukya Upanishad with the commentary written by Gaudapada, which is known as Karika. Those who are seriously interested in learning meditation can contact the Self-Realization Fellowship in Los Angeles or its sister organization Yogoda Satsanga Society Of India situated at Dakshineswar, near Kolkata and a branch at Ranchi in India. This organization was founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in the year 1920.

Meditation can improve your health, increase energy levels and maximize your enjoyment of life. Without a doubt, more people would benefit from meditation if they took the time to practice the simple exercises used to calm the mind, reduce stress and increase energy levels.

So What Is Meditation?

Meditation is a way to transform and heal ourselves. When we meditate, we allow the swirl of ideas and thoughts to slow down to the point where we find a calm and positive connection with ourselves. Although there are many different ways to meditate, all styles teach the directing of the attention in order to re-connect with the part of yourself that is most real and most true.

Why We Need To Meditate

Unfortunately, we do not walk through the world as children do. We all face difficult and stressful situations throughout the course of life. But rather than beginning each day afresh, we tend to gather the world and carry the negativity of the past with us. The happy and contented person you were becomes covered over by these emotions. Suddenly you feel unhappy and dissatisfied, and even worse; often the process is so subtle, you don’t know why.

Meditation is a way of cutting through those layers of past emotion and excessive thinking. Instead of our minds and bodies being at the mercy of life, we take back control. We focus the attention in a deliberate way, and slowly see the false layers of ourselves begin to dissolve as we return once again to the source of our happiness.

Although meditation is an ancient art dating back thousands of years, modern scientific research now confirms what ancient wisdom discovered long ago. Study after study shows that meditation brings about improved perception, focus, memory and creativity. Regular meditators are healthier, happier, more relaxed, and more productive.

The True Purpose of Meditation

The seductive appeal of mystic visions, psychic intuition and heightened mental functioning can be very alluring. While some meditators report esoteric experiences, the experiences themselves should not be the primary reason for practice.

The purpose of meditation is to transform the state of our hearts and minds and bring us back to ourselves. As we become healthier, happier and realize greater self-awareness, more benefits begin to follow naturally — improved mental functioning, greater intuition as well as greater access to unconscious resources and abilities.

The Best Style of Meditation

Always keep an open mind in your learning. Never accept a teaching without verifying the truth of it in your own experience. On the other hand, reserve making judgment in advance of having the experience for yourself.

The best style of meditation is the one that feels right for you. There are many different systems of meditation including, but not limited to Concentration, Mindfulness, Zen, Visualization and Devotion. You may decide to experiment with a few different styles and see how they feel. Find one or two styles that you like and then major in those. Above all, pay attention to your self and make sure your meditation feels right for you.

Make Meditation A Daily Practice

You can be stronger in your self. You can be happier, more balanced and compassionate. You can manifest the changes you truly want to see in your life through meditation. You don’t need to give up all your worldly passions or retreat to a Himalayan monastery either!

A daily ten-minute practice can make all the difference. It’s not much time to dedicate when you consider all the time spent caring for your physical appearance. After all, you wouldn’t go out to an important meeting or social occasion without clean clothes and brushing your teeth.

What about the mind and body — the instruments through which we perceive and interact with reality? Does it not make sense to take the time to clean up our attitude and the way we feel as well?

Brainwave Entrainment The Law of Attraction Is Hypnosis

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

This probably won’t be popular with diehard Law of Attractionists, but nevertheless, it’s true. Let’s compare the two. You use the Law of Attraction because you need something. It may be wealth, freedom from pain, to gain confidence, success in a certain project.

Basically, the Law tells you to; Ask, Believe, Receive. When they suggest you ask, they quite rightly mean ‘ask.’ List down in your journal every aspect of what it is you want. Let’s assume you wish for prosperity. A lot more money, new car, new house and all the trimmings. These must be not only written down, but described in minute detail.

When you’ve finished writing, you read through what you’ve written, imagining everything as you go. Effectively, living your new life. So what are you really doing? Putting yourself into trance state. Into an hypnotic state, embedding your desires into your unconscious.

Now this is fine, but why aren’t you already rich? Has something been holding you back? Lack of self-confidence, perhaps? You could be putting the cart before the horse here. How many really wealthy people do you know who completely lack self-confidence? Not many.

It’s interesting to note that during the last three months of pregnancy, the neonate within the womb experiences more Rapid Eye Movement, (REM), than at any time during the rest of its life. All manner of human instincts are embedded within its mind ready for it to begin its journey into the real world.

Now, bear in mind that hypnosis is a perfectly natural state very similar to night time dreaming, which is the REM state. Indeed, REM is often called the ‘paradoxical sleep,’ because the brainwave patterns are so similar to those during the times when you’re awake. Now occasionally, in the womb, your instincts learned the wrong response.

For instance, instead of having normal self-confidence, you were by-passed in this respect! So if REM programmed the pre-born infant’s instincts, it’s logical that you use hypnosis, which mimics the REM state, to help you programme your instincts to the responses you wish. It isn’t any good simply trying to be more self-confident, or trying to force yourself by will power. It just won’t work.

You must re-educate your unconscious, and that can only be done by hypnosis. So we see how hypnosis, exercised properly, can ‘tap’ the unconscious in such a way that efforts such as willpower are pointless. You automatically become more confident and self-assured without even thinking about it.

Now you have at least one tool you can use to bring you all those things you desire. Both hypnosis and the Law of Attraction, the latter used correctly, are doing just the same thing. Engaging the unconscious.

This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

1. The first step is to establish a regular routine. Each day you should try to get up at the same time of the day and go to bed at same time of night. It’s tempting to have an erratic schedule since there are so many demands on our time. However, keeping a schedule is important and not just for the weekdays but also the weekends.
2. Avoid heavy meals before bedtime as eating too heavy a meal can make it difficult for the stomach to digest food.Don’t eat spicy foods especially if you are prone to getting heartburn. Last but not least, limit the amount of liquids you take in before bedtime as you don’t want to be waking up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
3. Exercise improves circulation to the brain and body and can help reduce stress which in turn can help you go to sleep. However, don’t exercise within 2 hours of wanting to go to sleep as this might actually stimulate you too much to fall asleep right away.
4. Reading can be a great way to relax prior to going asleep. However, you should avoid excessive TV or computer use before bedtime as this can over stimulate your brain and make it hard to get to sleep.
5. Plan to reduce stress by listening to music or through meditation and/or prayer. Take a warm bath or shower, but make sure the water temperature is not too hot. Other relaxers can be aromatherapy, deep breathing or visualizing a peaceful, stress free setting.
6. Your bedroom should be used for sleep. Keep noise level down when you’re trying to sleep which is one reason why to not watch TV while trying to fall asleep. Your bedroom should be dark and cool, and make sure the bed and pillows are comfortable.
7. Sleep at night. Don’t get in the habit of napping and sleeping during the day.
8. Don’t drink alcohol before going to bed. While drinking alcohol may initially help you get to sleep, it is actually a stimulant and can interfere with your ability to stay asleep.
9. Don’t smoke. Besides being unhealthy, smoking acts as a stimulant. Research has shown smokers are 4 times as likely as nonsmokers to report feeling unrested after a night’s sleep. Additionally, smokers actually experience nicotine withdrawal as the night progresses, making it hard to sleep.
10. Avoid caffeine in coffee, sodas, teas, chocolate etc. Caffeine is a stimulant which keeps you from sleeping. Don’t have any 8 hours before bed because caffeine stays in the body for a long time. It generally takes about 3-5 hours for the body to eliminate half the caffeine and the effects of caffeine can remain in your body for 8-14 hours. Older people’s bodies take even longer to process caffeine, and so they’ll want to stop caffeine intake even earlier in the day.

Follow these tips and start waking rested and refreshed.

Nearly ten percent of Americans are affected by migraines. Migraines typically are when the blood vessels in the brain dilate and thus cause inflammation and intra cranial pressure. They can be very painful and paralyzing. Causes of migraines may be:

1. Too much or too little sleep
2. Excessive estrogen surplus for women during menstrual cycle (over all women are more likely to have migraines than men)
3. Poor diet
4. Response to certain meditations
5. Physical trauma
6. Emotional trauma

Often times migraines are triggers by multiple causes. When it comes to diet, there are ways to treat migraines and it’s best to plan ahead. Here are nutrients or compounds that are known to help prevent migraines:

– Ever hear the phrase metal head? No, it’s not about music. Magnesium is a metal that the body builds up in the head to reinforce the cranial structure preventing the effects of head trauma. I’m just kidding. It is about music. Magnesium deals with the nerves, helping them function properly and may be one of the greatest nutrients there is to prevent migraines. It is a metal that is utilized in a large number of natural chemical reactions in the body. It generally accompanies fiber in foods and can be found in bran (oats, wheat, and rice), dried herbs, seeds (pumpkin, watermelon, etc), soy beans, molasses, many nuts, avocado, beans, broccoli, spinach, bananas, kiwi, many meats, and many fishes.

– Vitamin D is known to prevent migraines, is actually considered to be a hormone and is crucial for the health. It is manufactured in the body from cholesterol by mixing UVB (not UVA) rays from the sun or certain types of tanning booths. It’s best to get 10 to 15 minutes of sun exposure a day. Additional vitamin D can be found in fish, some oatmeal’s, mushrooms, soy, many kinds of cereal, milk, and can also come from supplements (vitamin D3 is the most natural kind of Vitamin D). Still, light and consistent sun or UVB exposure is being uncovered as the best and most natural way to get vitamin D and other minerals.

– Large amounts of riboflavin (Vitamin B2) have been known to prevent migraines. Sources of riboflavin include mushrooms, spinach, peppers, squash, beans, sweet potato, asparagus, cabbage, broccoli, pumpkin, mustard, chives, artichoke, turnips, tomato, cauliflower, peas, onions, eggs, liver, marmite, dried herbs and spices like paprika or chili powder, Almonds, soybeans, cheese, and fish.

– Caffeine is a drug stimulant that may be used to increase the speed effectiveness of other drugs, including aspirin. Many drugs, like aspirin, already have doses of caffeine in them for this purpose. By itself, caffeine relaxes the blood vessels, may stop inflammation, and is most commonly found of coffee, dark chocolate, and soda.

– Antioxidants include beta-carotene, lutein, lycopene, Vitamins A, C, E, zinc, and selenium). Basically, antioxidants repair and prevent cellular damage caused from the body’s use of free radicals. Many great benefits come from high and balanced amounts of Antioxidants most of which are found in produce like fruits and vegetables. Huge amounts of foods contain antioxidants; just a few of them are Apples, berries, grapes, onions, broccoli, grapefruit, peppers, tomatoes, carrots, nuts, squash, corn and many more. Try not to over cook many of these foods, because it may destroy the natural enzymes or if steamed remove some of the healthy nutrients.

– Feverfew comes from a Latin word meaning fever reducer. It’s a plant that can be consumed directly or made into a supplement, used throughout many parts of the world. It is shown to be very effective for a large portion of people.

– Coenzyme C0Q10 is a natural substance, much like a vitamin, used by most every cell in the body for energy production. It has been shown to greatly help evade or possibly eliminate migraines. C0Q10 can definitely be supplemented and found in organ meats like the kidneys, liver, heart and other foods like beef, fish, peanuts, sardines, and soybean oil.

– Melatonin is a hormone with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant characteristics. Taking it at bed time could be a very effective treatment for Migraines. Melatonin is a supplement which can even come from feverfew

– Omega 3 essential fatty acid has a great many health benefits. It’s an unsaturated “healthy” fat that can act as an anti-inflammatory. It is often made into a supplement form. Food sources of Omega 3 include flaxseed oil, fish oil, flaxseed, walnuts, sardines, and most notably salmon.
