I am an active and grateful veteran of hip replacement surgery. Given my own experience, I invite you to take a leading role in your own healing process.

At 55, I was feeling old and depressed. I experienced increasingly intense pain before my full hip replacement surgery. I could barely walk, sit or sleep.

Committed to finding a natural solution, I took supplements that promised to rebuild the cushioning in my joints, (synovial fluid), tried a series of complimentary therapies including acupuncture, Reiki, Rolfing, all kinds of therapeutic massage and network and traditional chiropractic to address my discomfort.

As my condition intensified, I tried numbing the pain with topical applications and took over the counter painkillers daily, which I knew was not great for my stomach and liver.

I finally had the hip xrayed. There was barely any cushioning in the joint.
The surgeon told me that full hip replacement surgery was the only option.

Even when my surgery date was set, I was still looking for alternatives. I was asking my surgeon about joint fluid replacement injections, a less invasive solution that works for other joints, but apparently not for hips. I continued to take supplements and research other possibilities on the Internet.

Finally, I faced the grim reality that in 6 months my thigh was going to be cut open and a metal prosthetic hip joint and thighbone were going to replace my original bone for the rest of my life. I was terrified.

As I began to share my fears and fate with my community, I found that many people had relatives and friends who had gone through this experience and were now out of pain, walking normally and living full lives.

At one gathering, a friend introduced me to a woman who had gone through total hip replacement a few years prior. Seeing my level of anxiety about my approaching surgery, this angel took me to the ladies room to show me her barely visible scar and generously shared all her tips and resources with me.

She strongly recommended that I buy and use the book and tape (or CD) created by Peggy Huddleston, “Prepare for Surgery, Heal Faster”.

Peggy Huddleston’s book and tape set helped dramatically reduce my anxiety before surgery, use less pain medication after surgery and heal faster.

After reading the book, I took on my surgery and recovery like a project. I created checklists and timelines, prioritized and delegated whatever I could and asked for information and support from my many holistic practitioner friends.

As I continued to attend community celebrations on crutches, my spirit and my vision for my recovery inspired my friends. I was determination to hike into the mountains for a 3-day fasting Vision Quest and then attend a campout festival in the Nevada desert with them soon after my surgery. They jumped in to support me.

My community came to my pre-surgery party; drove me to the hospital; held my hand in the waiting room; visited me in the hospital; drove me home from the hospital; brought DVDs to keep me entertained, and gifted me with energy healing sessions as I was recovering.

A perfect stranger noticed my pain as we waited for the underground
train. She inquired if I was going for hip surgery. When we discovered that we had the same surgeon at Kaiser, she gifted me her top-of-the-line walker, decorated crutches, shower chair and high toilet seat, which she no longer needed!

I posted a free ad on the local resources networking site, offering to trade lodging for post surgery care. Henry Liu, a college student at the time, responded and proved a wonderful caregiver!

Henry had never prepared a meal and enjoyed learning to prepare my simple foods. He was kind and gentle with my fragile body in the weeks immediately after surgery when I needed assistance to even go to the bathroom! We became lifelong friends.

I found myself excited after surgery because I was finally out of pain, though very weak. I was enthusiastic about my prescribed physical therapy exercises because I was conditioning my body for the exciting adventures I had planned that would require me to be fit.

The physical therapist who came to my home felt almost unneeded. I would take my pain medication 30 minutes before my exercises, so that they were at maximum effect. Then, I put on my dance music and danced my exercises!!

After my surgery, I quickly recovered my ability to move freely.
To celebrate my recovery, 7 months after surgery, I hiked 3 miles off trail into the mountains for three days of solitary fasting and meditation. I was intent on discovering the purpose for my life’s extension and the nature of the legacy I was meant to leave on this earth.

To my delight, I realized that the most valuable gift I could possibly leave behind would be my own vital and enthusiastic aging. I was inspired to share my enthusiasm for living and my new level of self-care and lifestyle choices with others.

Two months after my Vision Quest, I went to the Nevada desert to celebrate life with 35,000 other radically self-reliant and creative individuals at the Burningman festival.

I took to vigorous action, fueled by my fears, to ensure that I recovered rapidly and completely. I invite you to get yourself inspired, organized, calm, entertained, nourished and highly motivated to follow your doctor’s recommendations.

I am excited for you as you begin this journey to recovering, optimizing and sustaining your well being for the rest of your life!

I encourage you to embrace this challenge as an opportunity for personal growth and awareness of the amazing healer within you as well as an opportunity to receive and appreciate the love and generosity of your caregivers, family and larger community.

Conscious relaxation is encouraged as a practice by all therapists as the basis for any subsequent healing techniques and modalities. The best results are experienced when all potentially negative influences are eliminated.

It is easy to understand that stress is our enemy and that relaxation will prove our salvation in helping us to become free of symptoms of discomfort of all kinds. However in order to derive most benefit from our periods of conscious relaxation practice, we must observe several essentials.

We are hypersensitive when we are undergoing the process of relaxation – when we are lying on the floor and in a defenceless attitude with eyes shut. Traditionally, each person has their own personal mat to lie on. It represents our temporary private place or ‘home’. We must feel confident in our guide and in our surroundings. Otherwise no technique or outside suggestion will work for us.

Sudden noises, loud sounds, rock music, telephone rings, electronic beeps, or the heavy drone of traffic can all make us suffer a degree of shock when we are surrendering to the wonderful state of relaxation. If it should not prove possible to defend completely against unexpected sound, we can use auto-suggestion to condition ourselves to disregard it.

The therapist or guide will always refrain from touching a student and will avoid intruding on a student’s space unless some light contact is essential to draw their attention for some important reason. Usually the quietly modulated voice of the teacher is sufficient.

Some people find their relaxation period tainted by their own concern about the time. Others worry that in a class they will fall asleep and suffer embarrassment. Some will be physically uncomfortable – and that is why it is worthwhile to take extra time in preparation to ensure a fine degree of comfort and this includes suitable clothing. Shoes are always best removed. Sometimes pillows are used as an aid.

Those who tend to feel sensitive to cold are best to be lightly covered with a light mohair rug. Some of us are hypersensitive to industrial smells, chemical odours. If this is the case, then we can use perfumed incense or essential oils in very discreet amounts in a group situation, as even perfumes pleasant to us may not be relaxing influence to another. Ill placed lights or lamps can intrude with light that is irritating. Half light or a shaded atmosphere is best.

Unfortunately, to practise in the open air is somewhat of a challenge. It is achieved well enough for short periods when we sunbake at the beach. But as such opportunities for many of us are few, and flies, mosquitoes, ants and numerous insects abound to make their presence known to us in our outdoor parks and gardens, we have to compromise and to modify what may be our ultimate desire to be out of doors to experience complete attunement to nature.

In spite of all efforts of a guide to make the experience of relaxation a pleasant one, there may remain only one barrier to overcome and this is a common tendency for us to feel self conscious when in a group. It is therefore important to practise in a congenial atmosphere with sympathetic friends or fellow students until you can create your own ideal environment in the privacy of your own home.

Brainwave Entrainment How To Hypnotize Someone Easily

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Learning how to hypnotize someone can be a very valuable tool. Hypnosis has been around for centuries and used for many purposes from healing to success to phychological therapy. Hypnotherapists use hypnosis to hypnotize their patients and get often get outstanding results.

So what is hypnosis. In short, hypnosis is the ability to bring a person to a low level state, much like sleep, where they are prone to verbal suggestion. Believe it or not, you have probably been hypnotized before. Television is a great example of how to hypnotize someone easily. Have you ever watched a movie that was so captivating that when it was over, you felt as if you weren’t quite the same? Theaters often produce this same affect. Music is another culprit of hypnotism as well. You might have noticed at some point becoming hypnotized in a deep relaxation while listening to a specific song.

Hypnotism is most commonly used in therapuetic practices. Hypnotherapists help solve many common day problems through verbal suggestion. The key concept to hypnosis is relaxation. Relaxation allows a person to move from a wide awake perspective in to an alpha state where the brain takes in great amounts of information yet the body remains calm. The trick to learning how to hypnotize someone easily is by getting them to this alpha state.

Sleep walking and sleep talking are also kind of in the same realm as hypnosis. It is in the grey area between being wide awake and dead asleep. People also use hypnosis to create success in their life and wealth. Today’s entrepenuers study hypnosis in order to get what they want from people without them knowing they are doing so. You may see hypnosis in writing also. Certain authors have been found that the words they use created brainwave patterns in those who read their books equivalent to those created by hypnotherapists. Whichever way you decide to use hypnosis, remember that you are dealing with someone at a very vulnerable state, and should take this in to consideration when learning how to hypnotize someone so you don’t cause any harm.

This ?requency following?response of brainwave entrainment can be seen in action with those prone to epilepsy. If a strobe flashes at their seizure frequency, the brain will ?ntrain?to the flashing light, resulting in a seizure.

On the positive side, this same mechanism is commonly used to induce many brainwave states; such as a trance, enhanced focus, relaxation, meditation or sleep induction. The brainwave entrainment effectively pushes the entire brain into a certain state.

Brainwave entrainment works for almost everyone. It is a great way to lead your mind into states that you might usually have difficulty reaching, allowing you to experience what those states feel like.

THE HYPE
There is a lot of marketing hype around brainwave entrainment. It is sold with promises of increasing IQ, promoting weight loss, ?ind-tripping? enhancing creativity, concentration, inducing spiritual states and more.

While these claims are not entirely true, they are not altogether false either. In practice, the claims are based on an overly-simplistic view of how the brain and the brainwaves function.
THE RUB
People are very seldom deficient in a certain brainwave type in all areas of their brain. Usually the distribution is much spottier, with an excess in one area and a deficiency in another.

We are all different, especially when it comes to the distribution of our brainwaves. Boosting a certain brainwave state may be beneficial for one person, and emotionally uncomfortable for another. Without knowing each person? starting position, entrainment can be rather ?it and miss?

If brainwave entrainment leaves you with unwanted side-effects (see below) or discomfort, you?e probably encouraging a range of brainwaves that are already excessive in some area of your brain. The way around this is to get a brain map to see what your brain? strengths and weaknesses are, and see what (if any) brainwaves could use some encouragement.

We eat for many reasons. We may be hungry, we like what we see, we might have extra money to waste, to reward ourselves, because others are eating, because our emotions try to rule us. Some of these emotions may be happy, sad, angry, lonely, hurt feelings, bored, guilty, sleepy. When we feel in any of these ways, we like to eat because it gives us something to do besides feel that way. This is true especially if we are hurt, lonely, angry, or bored.

Emotional eating means responding to feelings rather than hunger by consuming large quantities of comfort foods – usually junk foods. Usual comfort foods are sweets, desserts or fried foods. We eat to mask or temporarily disconnect from these feelings we are going through. By stuffing our emotions with food, we forget how it feels to be physically hungry. Most emotional eating leads to overeating caused by our emotions.

Some hints at dealing with the feelings/ food issue are to face your emotions, do not ignore them. Food cannot solve any of these problems, even though you might feel better for a little while. Try and talk to someone, anyone about your feelings. Substitute this kind of eating, with fun activities.

Break the chain of food and emotions. Choose some places on the chain where you might do something different in order to avoid a negative behavior. Here is the chain you may go through – Rush through dinner, sink into the couch, watch a boring TV show, feel really bored, feel sleepy, argue with friends or family members, pull yourself out of the couch, go into the kitchen, open the refrigerator or food cupboard, eating anything in sight, feel guilty, want to eat more food.

How do you deal with emotional eating? First of all, identify eating triggers. Then consciously make an effort to break this habit. Secondly, develop alternate behaviors. Each time you want to reach out for food as a response to a trigger, try out one or more of these activities –

Listen to music, go for a walk, swim or jog, take a shower/ bubble bath, play sports rather than watch them on TV, meditate, read a book/ the newspaper or a magazine, do housework, run errands, do the laundry, get engrossed in a hobby or any creative activity unrelated to food until the urge to eat passes.

Think twice before you reach out for that cookies jar or pastries in your refrigerator. Eat healthy to live well.

Brainwave Entrainment Programming Your Subconscious Mind in 5 Easy Steps

The first thing that you need to do when you are going to try and go on a journey of programming your subconscious mind is to try and relax. What you are going to need to do for one, is to find a quiet space and of course, find some way that you are going to be able to internalise your own thoughts and feelings. One of the most important things is to find a quiet space where you can sit down and think about things. This is where you are going to need to eliminate the rest of the world and from there move on to the second step.

The second thing that needs to be done is that you are going to need to learn how to meditate and from this you can actually try to actually make some sort of progress with your own programming your subconscious mind. Breathing techniques are the best way that you are going to be able to go on this journey. At the end of the day, what you are going to do is to breathe in and breathe out slowly, and from there you would be able to lower your own heartbeat and from there, you can actually start to meditate.

The third thing that you are going to want to do is very simple. You are going to try and adopt some of the more advanced mediation techniques to help you to achieve this goal. For one thing, you can try things like Hindu meditation techniques and yoga. You can even do simple stretching and Pilates as well. With these, you can connect the relaxation of the body with the mind, and from there, be close to your own programming your subconscious mind and this is what you really need to try to achieve this at the end of the day.

The fourth thing that you need to do is to actually try and evoke your senses as well. There are many options that you can actually try to do this. The most powerful thing that has been gaining popularity in this day and age, is aromatherapy. You can actually just purchase these candles from any store that has aromatherapy candles, and this is what you really need to do. All you need to be able to do is just to light them up, and from there you would be able to find that you have better connection with your preconscious mind.

The last thing that you are going to do is actually try some of the technologies that are out there that you can download and buy to actually help you along with this process. Programming your subconscious mind is actually easy with technologies like brainwave entrainment and subliminal technology, things that are easily available on the internet. Now, these are some of the things that you can do to actually try and start programming your subconscious mind and become the much better person that you want to be.

There are a few simple methods that anyone who can astral travel can use to improve their life. Astral travel can be used in many different ways to achieve this. Man has used the astral planes and alternate realities to affect the physical world from the earliest times. Shamans enter astral realms to help, cure, and protect people from things they could not see. Shamans can bring elements or parts of alternative realities into existence for short periods. The degree of enduring change depends upon the Shamans skill, how much energy is used, and how big a change is attempted when astral magic is done.

Magic can be used to manipulate the unseen forces that are at work in and around your life. Everyone knows what makes a happy life. Many times, I have looked at what was going on in my life and wanted to change things. I am sure you have too. However, how do we go about changing things to make life better for us?

The first thing to do is write down what would make you happy and what is causing you problems. The easiest things to work on are things like a new vehicle or material objects to resolve problems.

I once had a car that really was a problem. Every time I started to get ahead, the darn thing broke down and took all my hard-earned money for repairs. I was tired of these recurring problems, but I could not afford another vehicle as my current car was doing such a good job of taking all my money.

Finally, I decided to use astral magic to get rid of that lemon of a vehicle. I carefully planned what I was going to do. There is a real time plane when you astral travel. This is the plane most similar to real life. You can form and shape anything you want in the astral plane because it is a fluid environment that is affected by the power of mind.

I astral traveled to the real time plane near my home. I then visualized myself walking out of my house and going to my car. I made sure that the car on the real time plane was different from my present vehicle. I pictured a dependable vehicle; one I could afford that would have me be happy and not take all my money and time fixing it. I did not picture any particular model or make of car. I wanted something that could be pulled into my life easily. Not being specific about fine details like this makes it easier for life to bring you what you want in a short time. I picked my result as being happy and unworried about driving my dream car anywhere I wanted to go.

I took my created image and placed it over my present vehicle. I made sure the image kept repeating itself endlessly into the future. I did this by matching the colors and feeling of the energy. I also matched the vibrations and musical notes I received from the image.

You can do this by observing things closely in the astral. Everything has colored energy around it. This energy tells you whether it is something good or bad. The pitch of the energy is also a good indicator. The pitch is like the tone you get when you strike a tuning fork. The musical notes of astral energy can form a little tune or medley. If you like the tune and pitch of an astral objects vibrations and colors, it will usually be good for you in real life. Anything that makes you feel uncomfortable or uneasy should be removed or left alone.

I checked all these things and made sure they felt right for me. I then hooked it all up to my old car. I wanted it to feel like the car I wanted and had created on the real time plane. A week later, I was given a car by a lovely retired couple I hardly knew. They had been sympathetically watching me struggle with my problems. It was an older vehicle but had been well looked after and was dependable. It was just what I wanted. The couple had just received a big settlement and bought a new car. They wanted to do something nice for someone. They had been looking for someone who really needed help and would thus appreciate the gift of their old car.

We can create changes in our physical lives by thinking and doing positive things. This is the power of positive thinking. Bad things and bad luck are caused by discordant energies and negative patterns of thought. These are the underlying causes of bad luck. Unfortunately, many people take bad luck for granted and accept it into their lives, expecting it at every turn. Thinking like this causes you to become stuck in an unhealthy mental pattern where disharmony and a continual stream of problems are manifested in your life. In an astral sense, it could be said you are creating and thus attracting more and more discordant astral colors and tones around you.

Negative astral colors and tones can be cleaned away by positive thinking and regular astral housekeeping. To do this, I perform a simple mental exercise every night before going to bed. This only takes a few minutes. First, I visualize myself going to the real time astral plane. I picture the things I need or want to have around me and visualize them making my life easier. I populate my space with these and hook them over the things in my present space. I feel good colors, vibrations, and musical notes replacing those on the physical plane. I see these energies and tones repeating endlessly into the future. I give my own mental image the energies and tones of good health, good luck, and happiness. It really does help your life if you do this wholesome practice every day.

Helping someone who is ill and having problems is easy, you can astral project to where they are in the real time plane and help them. You can see the colors and tones of a persons energy when you are in the astral. It helps if you temporarily change part of your shape when working on a friend or loved one. Extend the length of your arm and fingers and use them to go through your patients energy field. Remove any energy that seems wrong or bad and then banish it from the person.

You banish the energy by changing it to a pure white color with different tones. You can also send it to an energy level, which will disassemble the negative energy. A high- pitched pure white energy will destroy the components of anything negative. You will find that they do feel better the next time you talk to them. Sometimes they are so used to negative energy that it is drawn back to them. I have found that is because that the inner them feels that is the way it should look in their aura. They have to find the root cause of this and that is where my articles on letting go, forgiving yourself, and finding out if something else could be causing the problems come in handy. You can repeat this astral cleansing as often as necessary. You can also add pure white or pure light blue energy in a pretty shade to their energy. You can notice the different energy that it creates around them. They will heal quicker and feel better quickly. To cleanse negative energies with an electric purple color is akasha flame and will destroy unhealthy and unwholesome energy. You can do all of these methods for yourself or others.

I once had a friend who was ill. I saw some strange, discolored spots in her aura. In an effort to help, I astral traveled to her home that night. I again saw the same discolored spots in her aura. I combed these out with my extended astral fingers and removed them. I then filled her aura with bright-blue energy from head to toe. I saw her the next day and she told me she had experienced a burst of energy that morning. Her disorder healed rapidly and I repeated the astral healing each night until I was sure she was healed.

The astral dimension is also the best place to pray and contact God, in any form that a person may worship. The restrictions of the physical planes are removed and you can contact and receive their true essence. You can use this connection to ask forgiveness for anything you might have done wrong, or to ask for help with problems. You can also thank whatever forces have given you help or assistance. Joining to the principles and virtues of God or the divine is the best way to resolve any problems and restoring the Good to your life. Your Good is there and waiting for you no matter what mistakes, you have made because of the energies of divine love and kindness.

I also use dreams to get advice to solve seemingly unsolvable problems. I ponder and meditate on my problem before sleep and ask for help. I then dream up solutions while I sleep, and know the answers in the morning.

Astral projection can also be used to meditate on the types of energies you would like to bring into your life. A little research will unearth a wealth of symbols, runes for example, each of which has a different meaning. I project out and then visualize and create a doorway. I visualize the most appropriate rune appearing on the door. I have the door attached to a wall, with a doorknob so I can get in and out easily. I walk through the door in my astral body and enter the realm of that symbol. I ask for help with problems, ask specific questions, or simply ask to learn what I need to know. I feel what energy, vibration and pitch the symbol has, so I can draw it into my life in the real world. I then try and absorb what the experience has taught me, so I will remember and realize it better. This can be an amazing and enlightening experience.

Every symbol has its own realm. If you open yourself to its energies, it brings you into an understanding of the elements it is composed of, and of what can best help you in your life. It also opens you up to the elements involved with that symbol, so never use anything symbolizing something you do not want to experience. Many shamanic type symbols involve birth, death, and rebirth. You can almost duplicate the elements of a near death experience by using them. This gives you a way to review your life and decide what directions you would like to go in and the things you would like to experience. You can also use this to talk to Saints and Angels. You write their name upon the doorway and the symbol of the cross. You can use this for any God, Goddess, or Buddha depending upon your beliefs. I feel this method has much to offer for everyone.

You can use the symbol energies in these planes to accomplish the goals they represent. It takes careful research and thinking to pick the symbols that relate best to you, your life and its problems, and your dreams and aspirations. Some of the symbols I have used are the cross, ankh, Buddha, pentacle, and the curved spiral of shamanism.

It is important to erase and remove each doorway you create when you have finished using it. This cleans up your personal space and makes it so you do not have conflicting symbols that might cause you problems. I suggest keeping a diary of everything that you do, and rating the effect, it had upon your life when you used any symbol or method. This helps remind you which symbols you have used, so with hindsight you can link it to the effects it had upon your life at that time.

A good book with meditations and exercises for each rune symbol is Esoteric Rune Magic by D. Jason Cooper. The Germanic runes are excellent examples of shamanic symbols. Using these will show what I mean about their different aspects, energies and the effects these can have upon your life.

All these methods are easy to do once you are capable of astral traveling. These practices can make your life easier and richer and prevent problems before they happen. Ignoring problems, or potential problems, will not make them go away. Being aware of your life, working on yourself, thanking the forces that help you, and asking for advice can solve far more problems than ignoring them ever will. I believe in taking an active role in my future and helping myself along my life path. I hope that you enjoy and benefit from these methods as much as I have.

Brainwave Entrainment Astral Projection Tips

Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain’s ‘frequency following’ response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

Let us be clear from the beginning. There is no real proof that some device can have decisional role for you to have successful astral projection attempts. It is clear that everything is up to your psychological, emotional, mental and spiritual abilities, as well as to your proper practicing, discipline, learning and determination. As we mentioned before, what you can really do is to make sure you have the following technical/environmental preconditions:

Find quiet and isolated place (room)
Make sure that nobody will disturb you
Make sure you have enough time
Turn off all high-tech devices, especially your phone and TV
Darken the room, but not totally
Have a comfortable clothe

These are general measures you can take before start your astral projection session. It is clear that noise, daylight or sudden phone-ringing can break your practice, as well as a sudden entering of your spouse or kids in the room.

However, as astral projection becomes more and more popular among different people, there are attempts some aids to be developed in order to support the projection process. Yes, just to support it. They are mainly connected with achieving a relaxation state, to calm brain activity, i.e. to speed up entering the state of mind-awaken-body- asleep, which is the hypnogogic state that is crucial in the process of astral projecting, out of body experience, or lucid dreaming.

The Monroe Institute, which is based on the legacy of Robert Monroe (who is the “father” of the modern astral projection era, if it can be said like that), is a leader in today’s examinations of everything connected with astral projection and other hidden abilities of humans. As such, it is continuously trying to discover or develop aids that would support these activities, especially when practiced by beginners.

Hemy-sinc tapes

Hemy-sinc tapes are state of the art audio-technology, based on the natural functions of the brain. The audio content of these tapes supports appropriate brain activity, which is needed for achieving the state of mind connected with astral projection. Our brains produce different waves or modes of electrical activity. These different waves stimulate different states of mind: Alpha (relaxed state), Beta (physical activity), Theta (deep meditation) and Delta (deep sleep).

Hemy-sinc tapes audio is based on so-called binaural beats that are able to influence the brainwave activity toward the wishful state, as well as to support the consciousness to focus. Most known are Gateway Tapes (36 in total). There are reports from users saying that after 30 days of constant listening to the tapes they experienced regular astral exteriorizations, as well as overcoming of the typical side effects such us astral blindness, the magnetic pull, hearing radio frequencies, etc.

Meditational tapes

Meditation tapes are based on the same principles as Hemy-sink tapes, with the difference that everyone can make its own tape, according to his/her audio sensibility. One can choose nature sounds such us rain, wind, birds, ocean waves or special sounds based on binaural beats. What is important is that these meditational tapes should also be precisely regulated to have possibilities to influence the brainwaves activities toward the hypnogogic state. It is common that the Theta state of the brainwaves is the one connected with astral projection or out of body experience. They are considerably cheaper than Hemy-sinc tapes – one can record audio from many free available audio sources on internet.

Lucid dreaming mask

Lucid dreaming masks help you bringing a state of lucid dreaming (i.e. conscious manipulation of your own dreams), but they are also used by some astral travelers. They are based on a technology that detects the so-called REM state of sleep. REM is an abbreviation for Rapid Eyes Movement, which happens when dreaming. Lucid dreaming masks can give you a cue with flashing lights or tinny sounds in order to remind you that you are dreaming, so you are able to have mind-awaken-body-asleep state. Namely, falling asleep during astral projection is one of the most common reasons for unwanted break of the projection process. Cues will enter your dream, being incorporated like an alarm. There are workbooks to provide you help for recognizing masks’ cues.

The Calea herb

This herb that will prevent you enter a deep sleep state. When you are in a deep sleep state, you do not remember your dreams. One can get one gel capsule before astral projection, in order to prevent falling asleep during the projection s?ance. As we mentioned above, all these aids are not what will cause astral projection or lucid dreaming. They just help you achieve a state of mind that is necessary for successful trip to the astral plane. Your thorough preparations, the strict following of the proper techniques and patience are crucial for a success. With the time, when you become an experienced astral traveler, your subconsciousness will be naturally attached to states of mind needed for projection, so you will need no aids.
Brainwave entrainment is a method to stimulate the brain into entering a specific state by using a pulsing sound, light, or electromagnetic field. The pulses elicit the brain? ?requency following?response, encouraging the brainwaves to align to the frequency of a given beat.

The bookstores and book sites are filled with numerous tomes dealing with the health of the brain using various methods like hypnosis, meditation and music. One of these books is The Brain Massage authored by the well-known expert in the field, Dr. Jeffrey Thompson.

Meet the Author

Undoubtedly, a book on any subject is only as good as the professional expertise and personal experiences of its author. When the author lacks either qualification while writing the book, his credibility is subject to considerable doubts. For example, when writing about a book on the subject of hypnosis, the author must possess the necessary education, training and work experience on the matter.

In the case of The Brain Massage, listeners to the audio book have the benefit of an expert on the subject matter at hand instead of, say, a person who borrows ideas from many authors, compiles these ideas into a book and then calls it an original work. Dr. Jeffrey Thompson is a highly-respected professional with years of experience as a researcher, teacher and advocate of sound frequency patterns can promote changes in brains waves and, consequently, provide for many health benefits including relaxation.

His professional experiences include working for NASA to understand the powerful recordings made by spacecrafts on the planets, teaching in various universities and seminars, and researching on sound frequencies as a healing modality, among others. Indeed, Dr. Thompson knows his product so well.

About the Book

It must be emphasized that The Brain Massage is an audio book that contains verbal instructions and classical music. The main aims of the audio book are to promote deeper sleep, greater levels of creativity, and higher modes of awareness of the self. The main method used is, of course, the provision of sound frequency patterns embedded in classical music to control natural brainwave activity.

Understandably, many individuals will think that the ideas advocated by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson are all mumbo-jumbo. How can music influence the individual’s emotional moods, mental behavior and physical state by altering the brain’s wave activity?

The answer lies in the numerous scientific studies pointing to the fact that the brain generates specific patterns of wave activity according to the person’s mood. Thus, alpha and beta waves are present in the brain when the individual feels alert, focused and energized while delta waves promotes deep sleep. Alpha-theta waves correspond to emotional sensitivity that encourages good communication.

The Brain Massage audio book uses classical music by Vivaldi, Bach, Mozart and Haydn, among other classical composers, to encourage the brain to follow the desired wave pattern. You will then be able to achieve the desired state of mind and body depending on your needs.

For example, if you want to enjoy a good night’s sleep, you will choose the CD with the delta wave sound frequencies as indicated on the cover. Then, in the morning, you can play the alpha and beta waves CD. Soon, you can enjoy the health benefits of being alert, focused and energized as well as relaxed in mind and body whenever and wherever you want.

Indeed, The Brain Massage is a must-have on your car stereo, CD player and even the iPod. At any time of the day when you feel particularly stressed, you can just play the appropriate CD and feel yourself being eased into a relaxed state of mind and body.

The call center sector is always written about. But you hardly get tips or words of advice for the BPO agents and employees who make this business possible. In this article we will take a closer look at some ways in which the agents in telemarketing services can improve their performance and enjoy their job at the same time. Your liking for your job is primarily in the mind. If you can attune yourself to love what you do, you will soon find yourself getting better at it. Telemarketing can get tough for those who are in this sector for the wrong reasons. In the world of stiff competition, you need to be a little better than the average to succeed. Some ways of doing things, many of which are subtle changes in your lifestyle, can make all the difference. Let’s find out!

Firstly, get the toughest jobs done first. When you know that making lead generation calls to some contacts would be difficult, pick up the phone and get those out of the way first. Call center agents should always work with a free, open mind. Being bogged down by the thought of them getting stuck on sales is like a writer’s block to a screen writer. If you get the tougher telemarketing calls done right away, you will have a better state of mind to do the easier tasks.

Secondly, lead a better life. The BPO job that you do is stressful. You invest a lot of mental energy in the process. You have to replenish yourself every single day to avoid burnout. When you are not at the call center, listen to music, read books or watch movies. You can also indulge in some exercises early morning. Go for brisk walks and do some freehand exercises. Sitting for hours on a chair at the telemarketing unit damages your vertebrae and postures. Exercise also keeps your brain cells active. Meditation and yoga are very good ideas for a telephone answering service agent.

Thirdly, create a positive vibe at the workplace. Keep a clean desk. Call centre jobs are all about order and schedule. A cluttered desk is the expression of a confused mind. Moreover, you tend to forget things and get depressed when your desk is strewn with stationery. Schedule all your meetings well in advance. Customer service and lead generation are both services that have a lot to do with time. If you are not working to a schedule, you will miss your deadline.

Fourthly, keep distractions at bay. You don’t really need IMs and social media pages when you are doing transcription services. Turn off the alerts on your computer. If you must log in to your call center IM, keep it mute. Let it not interfere with your work. Identify the non-essential tasks in your call center services. Determine which ones take time but hardly add to the productivity. Make small daily deadlines for yourself. That way you will be making use of every minute that there is.

“God turns you from one feeling to another and teaches by means of opposites, so that you will have two wings to fly, not one.” –Mevlana Rumi

In the quest for awakening some are driven to “…pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship…,” to escape the numbing anesthesia of the noisy mind. But until we experience the clatter of the outer world and the silence of the inner one as the two wings of the dove manifesting simultaneously from Being, there is no escape. Such is the wisdom of Rumi and the harmony of Oneness with all that is.

“Don’t Know Much About Geometry”
Apparently more mathematicians respond to music than musicians to math. But mathematics and music are bedfellows. For an explanation of this conundrum look to Pythagoras and the ancient Greeks, and stumble on from there. Since I am mathematically challenged, any subsequent references to the subject are oversimplified at 10 to the fifth power, for the child in you that wants to know.

In the 17th century Johannes Kepler’s Third Law of Planetary Motion was known as the harmonic law: Celestial Harmony, Harmonic Theory, and the Music of the Spheres. Kepler wrote: “The heavenly motions… are nothing but a continuous song for several voices, not perceived by the ear…” A mathematics of music in the limitless flow of time and space, Kepler’s work was founded on geometry, from which he derived a theory of musical harmony and then a cosmology of the heavens and the earth.

Deep Space
When we listen to music which corresponds to a higher power of thought we can sense how the space not only lies in the gaps between the notes, it surrounds them. In fact, there is space prior to the first sound and after the last musical note. Like the universe and consciousness itself, space was here before, is here now and always will be.

Something is releasing energy into the universe, and that release has a recognizable sonic signature. Twenty-first century physicists with their particles, waves and microwaves tell us that in string theory there are long vibrating packets of matter holding the universe together, sort of the way guitar strings vibrate. Across zillions of light years, the Big Bang is still sending those stringy tones that we can hear today, apparently by raising the sound about 50 octaves: the hum of the universe–Auumm, Ohmm, Ahhhmm, Ahhhmmenn….

“Heard Melodies Are Sweet. Those Unheard Are Sweeter.”- John Keats
French composer Claude Debussy regarded music as “the space between the notes.” The silence between notes allows them to resonate, reverberate, and reach their full measure of expression. Without this space, there’s nothing but noise. Clearly it reminds us that we need a certain amount of empty space to appreciate anything. Where do I come from? (space) Who Am I? (space) Where am I going? (space) The clutter of noise stifles our creativity. Peace and harmony flourish in emptiness–the space that lies at our center.

The Transcendent Nature of Chant
We know that chanting affects brain waves and elicits an emotional response. Eastern Indian music uses droning sounds made by an instrument called a tamboura, which emits a background hum to the tones and chants played over it. And those tunes all have gaps between the notes.

As the dominating musical tradition throughout Europe from the 7th and 8th centuries, Gregorian chant is the source of all subsequent musical development in Western music. Like the ancient Indian scriptures, it used to be transmitted by ear and committed to memory. It elicits a call and response, a counterpoint or contrapuntal like a Bach Fugue. Abbot Philip Lawrence, a scholar of chant who leads the Abbey of Christ in the Desert in New Mexico says, “The kind of singing we do calms the spirit and helps us live in peace with our world and one another.”

The Magnificent Cloisters
The Cloisters are perched high above the Hudson River at Fort Tryon Park, New York. Part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Cloisters were brought from Europe, stone by stone, and resurrected as an intact medieval monastery. It’s especially beautiful in spring, the scent of flowers and Gregorian chant filtering through the courtyards. In quiet reflection there, I found myself in spaces I didn’t know were there, ethereal and transcendent. Like meditation, when we focus on space, rather than the sounds that occur within it, we become expansive, like the universe.

Beethoven, The Beatles, And the Circle of Fifths
The genius is in the math. Since circles are a major part of the Music of the Spheres, the geometric Circle of Fifths represents the relationships among the 12 pitch classes of the chromatic scale, the circular space representing all the notes in a musical octave.

John Lennon used the chord progression of Beethoven’s Sonata in C-sharp minor (Ops. 27) backwards, and created “Because” on the Abbey Road album in rich nine-part harmony. But it was more than playing something backwards. It was genius. Other Beatles masterpieces like “Strawberry Fields” and “A Hard Days Night” were complicated stumbling blocks their producer George Martin had to solve through guess what? Mathematical formulas. Okay, so it wasn’t quantum physics, but it required brains and brilliance.

The Mechanics of Quantum
One of many simplified interpretations I found to describe quantum theory is: “Particles move backwards as well as forwards in time and appear in all possible places at once.”

Sounds a little like the many stories about Sri Bhagavan Nityananda, a famous early 20th century Indian Avatar who reportedly was seen by numerous people boarding a train in one place while, at the same time, appearing hundreds of miles away in another place!

“Let me be the space for that.” –Eckhart Tolle
